"Official" Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2016 - Have Yourself a Very Mickey Christmas.

Does anyone know what quick service might be open with actual food after 4:00? We are doing Chef Mickey at 11:00 and I doubt we will be hungry before we leave for Magic Kingdom but we will definitely need to eat at some point. I didn't make an ADR because I didn't want to waste time with a long meal and I now regret it. ETA: I just made a 4:15 appointment at Tony's, not ideal but better than starving. I would still prefer quick service.

I think everything operates as usual until 7, and then you can check the map for which restaurants are open and their hours. Pecos Bills closes at 11, Columbia Harbor House closes around 8 (I think), and Cosmic Rays is open until the end of the party. Those are just off the top of my head.

THIS. I feel like a person needs to choose between the popular characters (KtP thinks Judy and Nick will be a CRAZY line since they're new and a party-exclusive) and eating a nice dinner. I can't imagine the line you'll find if you can't line up until after 7 for both Sandy Claws AND Nick & Judy! :scared1: Throwing a 3yo into the mix on top of all that and I would be making difficult choices at that point. I would choose one OR the other, not both. Do BOG if that's important to you but then decide to skip those characters, maybe go for some of the less popular ones later on if you want. OR skip BOG (you did it last time, right? So it's nothing new) and opt for making either Sandy Claws or Nick & Judy your priority and line up for that one first. Anticipate that you will only be able to do one or the other and be happily surprised if it works out to do both character greets. Just my 2 cents. I've never been to a party yet, but I've been reading the MNSSHP threads and trip reports with great interest and most people, especially those with young children, seem to have tough choices to make in order to get the most out of their party time, which includes ENJOYING it. ;)

We're not interested in Nick & Judy, or Sandy Claws.

We're going to see Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy dressed up at Minnie's Holiday Dine, so I'm not interested in those either on the night of the party. We'd like to meet Daisy with Scrooge, and if Clarabelle is there, we'd like to meet her, too. Nothing too pressing, I don't think. Beast is actually our priority. Does anyone know what time he arrives at BOG?

But we lucked out today and got an ADR for 4 at 4:25pm on our party night!!! :D We had to drop our 4:40pm for 2 right away. I was going to put it on DIS, but it was gone within a couple minutes. So, I hope whoever got that 2 person ADR is feeling happy, too!

Yay!

My apologies though. I couldn't remember who had originally started the conversation about eating near the beginning of the party but I looked back and see I was actually addressing @CCxmas . She was the one who has a 3yo and mentioned meeting Sandy Claws and Nick & Judy after eating at BOG at 6, which I just can't imagine can work out very well for them. Glad you got a better time for your meal though!

So for my dumbest question ever, when people say the garden, do you mean on the actual grass or on the walkway behind the rail behind the grass? I have never watched from there and am considering it. Is this any better than the side near Casey's?

My favorite spot to watch wishes is the plaza gardens. You'll have a goodish view of the stage show from there, though the best views are closer to the castle. But you'll have no view of the parade there. To get 1 good spot for all 3 you'd need to be on Main Street close to the castle and would need to snag it at least 60 minutes prior. That means you're in the same spot for 2 hours +. I'd opt for a different stage show, watch wishes from the gardens then the late parade by the flagpole.
great! Where is the flag pole? By entrance of MK?

you can see the Peter Pan float on MS in this pic

Just curious, anyone know for sure where is Jack (Sandy Claws) meeting? I'm seeing conflicting sources. Most say the Liberty Square Gazebo, but I've also heard Frontierland.

Also, if it is the gazebo, is it the one behind the Christmas shop? I'm trying to remember where that is exactly.

Thanks!
That's where he was with Sally for MNSSHP. It is kind of a no-man's-land right there which I think accounts for the multiple locations listed.

You make a really good point. I'm just not sure if my kids will make it to the second parade or not. On the other hand, if we leave right after Holiday Wishes, the exit would probably be very crowded anyway. Maybe we might as well catch the second parade...

So, to get a good spot by the castle for the 8:15 Frozen castle show & the Mickey projection show at 7:40, how early do you think we'd want to get to the castle? 7:15?

@yulilin3

Thanks for all your info! I don't mean to question you (because I know you know your stuff) but back in this thread (or maybe another), I thought you'd posted the Hub said Once Upon a Time would be at midnight party nights. I just wanted to double check.

Thanks!

Anyone else super excited...??? Also @yulilin3 deserves a great big thank you for their helpful tips, and info :)

I'm super excited ... but I have to wait until December 13th for our party (Yay and Boo!) ! We were smart and moved around some of our activities. Snagged a 540pm dinner reservation at the Skipper Canteen so we can get situated before the party starts and be ready for the festivities right at 7pm. Have our custom shirts ordered and now just waiting for trip reports and suggestions!

Yes, at first they had posted that OUAT would be at midnight, same time as Mickey's Most Merriest show. It was obviously a mistake on their part, as you can see on the map there's no mention of OUAT
I basically copy/paste the info fro the HUB so I don't add anything to what I post
