"Official" Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2016 - Have Yourself a Very Mickey Christmas.

I have a 4 day park hopper for when we visit Disney in November. I will be in Disney for 5 days. I just booked the Mickeys Christmas party for Nov. 15th.. Instead of going to a park early in the day of the 15th, Can I just use the event ticket to get into the MK for the event or do I have to use one of my 4 days plus the event ticket.

You can enter at 4pm using only the event ticket.

MVMCP- Nov. 13th or 15th?! Dissers are buying for the 15th- is this indicative that the 15th will be busier or just that the dissers know best?! Making my ADRs tomorrow for 14- scared- big expense! Please advise!

Overall crowds and MK crowds are predicted to be lower on the 15th. Seems like a no-brainer...pick the 15th!

We are finally getting round to booking our tickets - as we are in the World for 10 nights we were going to book 2 parties. One on the 1st December which we are hoping will be pretty low crowds being mid week and earlier in the season and the second one on the 9th December which is Friday - we assumed this one would be a bit busier being the Friday night.

However we have just realised about Pop Warner - couple of websites are saying that this could make the 9th December party busier. Anybody got any experiences of this from last year? Pop Warner runs from 3rd - 10th this year.

Thanks

I've always heard that they don't typically go to the parties, and with the cost this year, I would think they would be even less likely to.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime trip for us. I had to do some serious convincing to sway the husband from a tropical location. I'm pulling out all the stops, so the party is a must do. We'll be in MK during the day that day too, so I think we'll go back to our resort around 3 and stay until around 6 (hopefully missing the overcrowding of party guests mixed with day guests). I don't really know what to expect as far as my kids' energy level. We'll have to play a lot by ear.

You do not want to find yourself trying to get back in around the start of the party. One year we left MK on a party day when we weren't staying for the party. Main Street was so packed with people trying to get in and leave at the same time. The line to get in MK was back near the docks. This was probably around 7:30. Just don't get back too late from your break if you want to avoid that scene.

Yikes! Good to know! We have no idea what we're in for!!

Question, I think I know the answer, but I need my Dis pals to make me feel better  You CAN still get in at 4, correct? We got our tickets in the mail on Friday (WOOT!) And it said entrance at 7 in bolded letters. Just wanted to confirm it was indeed still 4.

I just booked my tickets for Tuesday, November 29. We went in December 2014 on a Tuesday and unfortunately the second parade was rained out and we had skipped the first. Luckily, Disney gave us tickets for the following Thursday to make up for half the party being rained out. I made sure to book on a Tuesday again this year in case something similar happens I want the option to go later in the week.

Yes, you can get in at 4. They will give you the bracelet then so you don't have to go back out at 7 and get them. If you are already in the park, there are usually a few places to give you card and get the bracelet

Last time I did MVMCP was in 2013, and that trip i have enough park days to be in a different park that day, and attend the party that night. This year, I decided to not pay for the extra day of park ticket, and head to Disney Springs since there will be soooooo much to see and nooooo time to see it.
What have been your guys experience with finding fast passes from 4-7? hoping to knock off a few of the always busy rides to leave time to enjoy the xmas atmosphere and shows (i.e. seven dwarfs mine train, haunted mansion, and peter pan or something)

Trying to decide which day to go to party, Nov 7, 8, 10, or 11. I figure the first two will be the people trying to hit MNSSHP and MVMCP, and the last 2 will include Jersey Week people. There is a price difference on Nov 10, cheaper. Does that mean expected crowds are less that day, based on crowd pricing?

I'll bet your right about the 11th.........my family and I will be in from Jersey :) We're doing the Nov 11th party........because that's where it fits :-) for us. Would prefer to do Thursday but the plans just don't have it......its complicated o_O My bigger concern isn't all the folks from my state being there..........its a Friday night so it might be more locals are there. Not that there's anything wrong with that.............just makes it a bit more crowded! IMHO the best day would be Nov 8th or 10th..........both are midweek days and less likely to have a ton of locals visiting...........again not that there's anything wrong with that.

What ever you decide have a wonderful vacation........:santa:

Doug :goofy:

Thanks! I just wasn't sure they might do it as a special thing as it is the last night before they finish up!

Sorry, I don't have time to look through the whole thread. We are staying offsite before our cruise, and thinking of doing the MVMCP only. Would having magic bands make things any easier at the party or does it not matter?

Question. If we have park tickets that day and use 3fp+'s (diffrent park?)/ then come back at 4pm for the party will we still have 3 fp+'s just for the party ticket ? I am sorry if it was mentioned I did skim.
