"Official" Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2016 - Have Yourself a Very Mickey Christmas.

HIII Everyone!

Glad there is a MVMCP thread! I will be visiting October 31-Nov 10th hoping to catch both the halloween party and the christmas party while squeezing in wine and dine. Ive only been to one MVMCP as a cast member in 2013 and that was working research. Im so excited to actually go to one of these parties. Looks like my dates will be Nov 7 or 8th.

What is everyone doing for Food that night? Do you set a reservation in the park or maybe one of the nearby hotels? Not sure what we are doing and might stick to QS like we did for MNSSHP.

That's fantastic, @maxmouse ! If you have never done it - you're in for a treat. The price and quality of food are definitely worth it. Too bad we'll just miss you - looks like you're arriving a week before we get there!

Has anyone been to MK on a Christmas party day before? How are the crowds?
From the crowd calenders that I've seen they look to be relatively low, because of this I'm considering purchasing 2 nights and using our park tickets during the day. Is this worth it?
We will be there 12/3-12/7

We do both...
On arrival day (our plane arrives at 9:30 am) We go to our resort and if our room.is ready (it always has been, lucky us) We relax, clean up, and then head to MVMCP by 3:15 or so to be at the gate by 3:45...
Do the party and stay until kiss goodnight.
Then, we do a later park day at another park the next day (so we don't have to get oob at the crack of dawn) but we head back by 8:30 or 9 pm.
Then Tuesday we are up with the birds, get an early ADR (this past year was BOG) and are in MK before RD. This is a early close day due to another party that night.
Crowds have been a 2/10, AND we've been able to do 7DMT and BTMRR at least twice, and done everything else we've wanted. We eat CS lunch and then we're usually on our way out by 4pm after the parade. We then clean up and go to a signature restaurant for a late dinner.
We absolutely love the way the party gives us such good days in MK!

We have done it once before and I do remember it being very nice.

We will be using disney transfers from port everglades to CR. Our ship arrives back on a Saturday..there is no party this night and I originally planned on that being one of our two MK days. After looking at the crowd calendars it looks like would be better to save MK for the 2 party days. Only problem with that schedule is that for our HS day we have to be there at park open to sign up for Jedi Training. We may just skip the parks on Saturday and do Disney Springs and other activities, still undecided. Either way I would like to at least be back in our room in time to watch the fireworks.

Because Saturday is a non party day, and there is sometimes EMH on the non party days, I would recommend not hitting MK as they will be mad busy, unless you plan to go at RD and park hop when it gets busy.
I agree about HS, you'll have to get there at RD to sign your child up for Jedi training...
You should easily make it back to CR for nighttime Wishes!
Have fun planning!

We ate lunch at BOG and would love to try dinner.
I loved dinner at BOG! I felt like I was a guest at a huge royal banquet or wedding, especially when they played the music for the beast. The food was wonderful as well, and since I don't like FF we substituted the fingerling potatoes. Awesome! As much love as the grey stuff gets on the reviews I was not a fan. The chocolate boat tasted like cardboard and the mousse wasn't that tasty. Everything else, including our waiter was excellent! I hope you are able to get ADRs! Good luck!

We are thinking maybe Chef Mickey's before heading over depending on what time our flight arrives, since we are doing this on arrival day. Otherwise just grabbing QS. I don't know if I want to spend party time doing TS.
