My car has fresh oil, and a full tank of gas (aiport drive), the luggage is starting to get filled, and I reached my savings/spending money goal this morning! Now we wait... This will be the slowest week ever!

Just doing my last minute list. Cleaning up and pack the last minute things. We leave for the airport 5am on Monday. I still have 2 more shifts of work.. tonight and tomorrow night so I have to budget my time. Oy.

Color me officially jealous of all of you leaving so soon! My husband suggested last night that we add another day to our pre-cruise stay and I was able to add it this morning. Now we are staying two nights pre-cruise, three nights on the Disney Dream and six nights at the CBR after the cruise. :yay:

How many of you are planing on writing a trip report?

I am thinking of making a video from the pictures I take since I am not very good at writing. Pictures set to music seems more entertaining. :goodvibes

I'll definitely be writing a report when we get back. It helps me deal with the Disney blues and I get to relive the trip.

That sounds great:thumbsup2. I may attempt to do a trip report. I am, however, keeping a daily journal this trip. Ill take lots of pics and download nightly and write in my journal pages I downloaded.

In the middle of February, my mother was very ill and I honestly didn't think she would survive. Incredibly, she got better and as I reflected on her condition I decided that I wanted to go back to Walt Disney World, which is undoubedly my favorite place on earth. She kept saying that she regretted not traveling more when she was healthier. I decided I didn't want to look back with regret.

So on February 28 I booked my 2nd solo trip to WDW (a 3 day trip from May 27-29). This will be my 10th trip to The Magic Kingdom and her sister parks.

My first trip was in 1975, when my parents took me the Magic Kingdom when I was 10, and I fell in love with the place. It was, and is, the most magical place on the planet. I thanked my parents for that first trip dozens of times, and I don't think they fully realized how much I loved that trip until I started taking yearly trips a few years ago. (Becoming a "grown up" offers few real advantages, but the ability to make and take trips is one of them.)

My wonderful father ended up getting sick as my mother got better, and he passed away unexpectedly on March 3 - 2 months ago today. I think that he would agree with me that taking this trip to celebrate life, to enjoy the things that make me happy, and to remember the memories of my family when we were all young, healthy, and having a wonderful time in The Magic Kingdom is a wonderful idea. My dad told me that he had 2 big trips that he wanted to take in his life - Disney World and Hawaii. He never made it to Hawaii, but he got to go to The Magic Kingdom.

I'm going back to Walt Disney World - and it feels like going home. I'm pretty sure that my heaven will include a lot of Walt Disney World, and I think my dad is riding 20,000 Leagues Beneath the Sea again - which was one of his favorites. Every time I step inside the park I think of those wonderful emotions I felt when I was ten - I still feel them.

I can't wait. I love being 10.

 I have lost both my parents - it's been 13 years since my dad passed and 6 for my mom. One of the only big trips we took while I was a kid was to Disneyland - we actually flew in a plane, very fancy for us those days! - and it was where my parents had their honeymoon. I look at my kids, who my dad never even got to meet, and am so thankful we have the time, money and health to build some really happy memories. I hope you have a wonderful time as well as find some peace and grace for yourself! Enjoy!!

So I was kind of excited when I learned that Accuweather does such a far reaching forecast - until I looked at what they are predicting for Memorial Week!!! :scared1: I cannot even fathom how hot 95 degrees would be in the Florida humidity! Really hoping Accuweather is, well, UN-Accuweather LOL

I'm considering a trip report this time. (I really always say that)

I usually plan it and want to start taking pictures before we even leave the house, but then I stress out trying to get everything done and I don't remember to take any pictures until we are laying in bed at the hotel that night. Oops.

This time! Really! (I think)

Getting all my paperwork stuff in order today, that feels good. I am printing fake money for the kids in hopes that they will have a better grasp on what amount they can spend...they will be able to "see it". I don't like them carrying cash so I thought maybe this would work out...they can just pay "us" for what they want.

That's brilliant! I live with a young adult that was never taught the value of money. She always requests the most expensive items in the grocery store. She gets disappointed a lot. :rotfl:

Let us know how it works out!

So excited! Only 4 more days!! Today, I booked a reservation for Victoria and Albert's to celebrate DH's birthday. He'll be so surprised! This trip was a last minute thing, so I am super happy that everything is coming together so well. This will be our first time at V&A's. I can't wait!!!

Holy Cow I saw that too :scared1: Ugh, is all I can say.
