****Official May 2012 Thread**** ALMOST TIME TO LEAVE!!

I have officially started packing now:goodvibes I know to some it may be way to early (or am I really late in putting my things in a suitcase lol) but I get antsy and this makes me feel better. My girls dont know we are going to Disney so it has been difficult to keep it a secret and hide a couple of packed suitcases from them.

I have 47 more days to go and I am ecstatic!!!!

I actually started my trip box today. Whenever I find/buy something for the trip, in the box it goes. :goodvibes

I'm hoping to sort through our summer clothes this weekend to see what we need. I had saved oldest DD's clothes and was super happy I was having same season babies, but my little one is TINY. She will be 1 Wednesday and can still wear 6-9 month clothing. :rotfl: Her sister was wearing 18-24 at her age!

DD4 doesn't know we are going either but I'm going to start a countdown with her at 30 days out. Can't wait! :woohoo:

I am getting into packing too now :thumbsup2
we have fresh new sport socks, notes on touring plans for the parks and calendar for dates and ADR's etc..., DD's swimsuit cover up, rash guard for surfing in, ear planes for DD's ears that don't like airplanes, pedometer, light up fan, park maps, kleenex packets, sarongs.

ANNNNNDDD... Tonight I am going through our toiletry bags to throw out old stuff, see what I need and get those thrown into the box too :) :)

45 days for us and I can't beleive it!!

Haha, I was just telling my mom today that I thought I would start setting stuff aside that I want to bring, make a drawer or box or something for it so I'm less likely to forget stuff... I figured she would laugh and say it's way too early, but she actually said it was a good idea! :thumbsup2

Sooooo excited! :dance3::dance3::dance3::dance3::dance3::dance3:

Hm, looks like mostly "5" crowds when we go. Average is fine by me, as long as it's not "I CAN'T MOVE" crowded. :rotfl:

Thanks for the crowd calendar! Just went through and marked what was and what wasn't recommended. We have never looked at crowd Calendars before and usually going in July/August I think we can handle anything!! :lmao:

71 Days!!

Thanks for the link to the calendar! I've been meaning to go take a look before now but haven't had the time. I did, however, find the time to start my pre-trip report. It's entitled "Mickeystoontown's Gang hits the Bahamas & WDW! Who gets choked and stuck this time?" . I'd love to have you guys and gals come over and join me. Here's the link: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2893279

:lmao: glad she's in the same boat as you. pack away - it feels SSOO good!

Hello everyone,
My family will be joining you all on May 28-30 at Pop Century. My daughter and I plan to go to MK on May 29, but other than that we will be enjoying the rest of the world...monorail riding, resort touring, all that jazz. We aren't too big on theme parks. Anyone who is in the know about fun and free stuff point me in the right direction! :cloud9:

I wouldn't be surprised if you want to do another park after checking out MK ;)

However for free stuff you could check out Downtown Disney. You might be tempted to make some purchases though but to just go and enjoy the atmosphere is free :thumbsup2 They have some very cool shops to walk through like World of Disney and the Lego store and you can even see life sized lego structures throughout the area. Not sure your dd's age but there is also water area where water pops up from the ground in different areas and patterns and my dd always loved that spot.

They have free movie nights outside at one of the resorts - the one with campgrounds I beleive and i think it starts out with a campfire and singalong before the movie part. Someone else will hopefully corrrect me or expand on that if anyone knows more about it.

Have fun!!! I hope you catch the theme park bug like the rest of us

The Animal Kingdom Lodge is an attraction in itself! You have the savanna with many different viewpoints, the lobby is a museum in itself, and the food is amazing!

I do however think that Epcot is a must :)

Thanks for the tips! We've been before (CBR 2010, offsite 2008, ASM 2006) - my son and husband have no desire to do the theme parks. LOL They have kind of outgrown it. They may get there and change their minds though. :wizard: Right now all my son can talk about is getting back to the Nick hotel. we were one of the few families who actually had a good experience there i think!
The animal kingdom is the one resort we haven't done a whole lot of touring in, will definitely try that one! Thanks

I noticed on the Theme Park board the photopass Cd and preorder are both set to increase next week. I was planning on preordering in another few weeks but went ahead and did it last night. Thought I'd post it here in case anybody missed it since we're all getting so close. I guess if you decide within 90 days you don't want the pics, you can get a refund. It's our first trip so we wanted to try it.

I pre-ordered mine yesterday too so that I could save a few dollars.

Tomorrow is my 45 day mark!! :cool1::banana::yay:

We have been paid off for awhile, but that 45 day mark makes it real. You know, since we can't make changes, without a fee.

After that, you KNOW the trip is just right around the corner!!
