****Official May 2012 Thread**** ALMOST TIME TO LEAVE!!

Question of the Day:
What is your first full day plan? What park will you be visiting? Do you have any ADR plans that day?

We are going to head to Epcot bright and early, just in time to get some early Soarin fast passes! We are going to have a 12PM reservation and Le Cellier. And then head to HS for some fantasmic!

I just came back to share this awesome idea that I had that I'm very excited to do on our next trip!

I'm in college right now for photography so I'm a camera geek and have this instant camera that's basically like a polaroid. I plan on taking it with me and get pictures with the characters (like always!) and after it prints out in the 4 seconds it takes, have them sign the bottom where the white border is! My parents will have digital cameras so I'll have those pictures too but I absolutely love oldschool photos and I think this would be such a fun project!

Also found out the May hours are up so that means I get to start planning our daily plan! :yay:

Sounds great! Where do you get the camera now? and the film (pictures)?

I'm checking in here! We'll be at the Poly from May 4-12, possibly the 13th. We don't have our airfare yet, so that is the deciding factor. Right now, with the difference in airfare prices, it's the same amount to pay for another night at the Poly and take the day of the 13th to swim and relax at the Poly.

Anyway, to answer yesterday's question about what we'll do our first day, assuming we get the flight we want, we'll go to the MK and have dinner at 1900 Park Fair.

Our first full day will be spent at the MK as well.

We haven't told our kids yet about our trip. I guess we'll do that when we buy the airfare and it's totally a done deal.

Question of the Day:
What is your favorite place in WDW to have breakfast? What do you order when you are at that restaurant/quick serve/bakery?

Favourite breakfast has to be the buffet over at Trail's End. We ate there last trip. There was only about 10 people in there & a huge selection of food. We have a fussy eater & a vegetarian (also me & my Dad who'll eat most anything in great quantities) - but still everybody is satisfied after this meal. Theming is awesome to.

It's semi-convenient for MK to as it's just a boat ride away.

Also, Jessica. Congratulations on the wedding! It's the same day as my Sister's birthday. Glad we're all celebrating that day.

I have a feeling that Kona Cafe may be up there just judging by the menus and everyone's reviews but since we haven't officially been there yet... I'll go with Crystal Palace.

Well somebody has expensive tastes! There's me happy with my bacon, egg & waffles. :rotfl2:

I've heard that doing the 'Eggs Benedict' crawl can be pleasurable, there are so many different ones to try I hear. I'm guessing it's the breakfast equivalent of those who try to have every creme brulee on site. :thumbsup2

Haha Expensive taste for my 1 expensive breakfast meal :lmao:

I can't believe you just quoted my whole mission for dessert at WDW!! I love Creme Brulee and can't wait to try every single one this trip! popcorn::

My Mum is looking at it as a viable option as well. We don't usually do desert but as we have the DDP we will be; whilst looking over menus it seemed they all had a different Creme Brulee on there.

Question of the Day:

Unfortunately I am the only one in our family who eats breakfast so I usually have to bring along lots of cereal that I just eat in the hotel, although I'd like to eat at a restaurant for breakfast sometime.

Sounds great! Where do you get the camera now? and the film (pictures)?

It's a fujifilm instax so it's actually a newly created instant camera. I ordered mine online with the film and I know urban outfitters sell them. Film is still pretty expensive (not as much as polaroid since you can't hardly find those anymore), but it's worth it to me!

I think someone messaged me about ADRs and everyone who made them and I saw a few people posted theirs.

We are planning on:
Mama Melrose (love this place)
Via Napoli
Ohanas
Garden Grill

We have never ate at the last 3 listed but I wanted to ask about the Garden Grill. I'll be 19 on our trip and I'm a total kid at heart, I stand in line for characters while nobody else does (I have a younger brother), but we have never done a character meal. It'll just be me and my parents since my brother will not be with us at that point and I was wondering if anyone has ever done a character meal without kids and if it was awkward?

I know they will most likely hang around the kiddos and that's fine, I was just hoping to get a few pictures here and there and have a good time. So, anybody ever gone to one, did you have fun? Thanks!

Here are our ADR plans (as of right now):
Arrival Day - Hoop De Doo
Future World (Epcot Morning) & Downtown Disney Afternoon - TRex late lunch
Magic Kingdom Day - BBB & Pirates League then the Dessert Party at night
Animal Kingdom Day - Boma Dinner
Hollywood Studios Day - no ADR... Pizza Planet lunch/dinner
World Showcase (Epcot Day) - Akershus Breakfast & QS Dinner
Magic Kingdom 1/2 Day - Chef Mickey's Breakfast
I'm hoping this will be enough for us... we'll throw in a few snacks here and there of course... otherwise we'll be eating at our resort (Bonnet Creek).

We just decided to return in May 2012 so....YAY FOR US! :)
