As for the terror alerts, I think like at any time, we need to be vigilent and aware of our surroundings. But other than that, what more can you really do?
I hate to say it but if someone wanted to do something bad, they will. And there is very little that anyone can do to stop it. After all, a pen or pencil can be a weapon...and those bag searches at WDW are all for show and have no merit. IMHO all they do is delay my entrance into Disney. I don't know why Disney even has them, except to say "see we check bags ... we have security". Every time I go in, I hand over 2 bags (diaper bag, camera bag) but we have more -- snack bags, toy bags, purse, etc, and they never ask for them. If they would, I'd show them. Otherwise, I'm just trying to get in the park like everyone else.
I plan to enjoy my time at WDW ... I hope and pray that we are safe from traffic accidents, unruly guests, sickness and those who intend to do harm.
