2011 Girl Trip Plan:

May 12- arrive at AKL around noon , swim, eat lunch at the Mara, DHS for a few hours at night and for Fantasmic

May 13- MK- breakfast at Main Street Bakery (mmm!), dinner at Liberty Tree

May 14- Epcot- lunch at San Angel Inn, Dinner at Teppan Edo. Also, check out the Flower and Garden Festival!

May 15- swim and hang out at AKL, WCC for dinner, MK for late night EMH

May 16- AK- counter service day, swim at AKL at night

May 17- Epcot- lunch at Beirgarten, dinner at Chefs de France

May 18- break day, dinner at Cali Grill during Wishes

May 19- MK- main street bakery breakfast, lunch at LTT

May 20- DHS - opening day for Star Tours!

May 21- probably relaxing at AKL, going home at 7pm

5/12 Drive down to WDW, possibly get there to eat dinner at DTD, staying at POR

5/13 Epoct Flower & Garden, Lunch at Le Cellier dinner at California Grill with DIS friends

5/14 D23 Destination D with Lunch at Kona Cafe and dinner at The Wave

5/15 D23 Destination D - no reservations

5/16 Hollywood Studios, Lunch with an Imagineer at Hollywood Brown Derby dinner at Les Chef de France (possibly with in-laws) then the Wishes Dessert Party (with the in-laws)

5/17 (staying with the in-laws this night since we decided to stay an extra day) breakfast at The Crystal Palace, dinner at La Hacienda de San Angel

5/18 Leaving to drive back home

Well we hit the month and a half mark yesterday. Wow, has March been a slow moving month. I think the weather still being cold and crappy has a lot to do with that.

We can't wait to go!

Yay!!! We are 41 days today!

Here is our plan:


11th - DH gets off of work at 4 and we come home, have dinner, and start on our way to Savannah where we will spend the night

12th - Get up earrrrrly and finish the drive to WDW. We have an ADR at Kona Cafe for lunch, and then after that we plan to go over to MK & play a while until Main St. Electrical Parade

13th - Magic Kingdom all day ADR for Whispering Canyon Cafe for dinner

14th - Epcot ADR for Dinner at Teppan Edo

15th - AK...This is a hard park for us to spend an entire day in. The plan is to go & hit the important things for us (EE, Kali, Tough to Be A Bug) and then go back to POR to let the kids play in the pool & relax. ADR for dinner at Wolfgang Puck <3<3<3 Pumpkin Ravioli

16th - Disney Studios...Yet again another hard park for us to spend an entire day in. We plan on hitting the important things to us & then leaving to do something else. ADR for lunch at Sci Fi

17th - Magic Kingdom day again! We are winging lunch & dinner this day

18th - Epcot! ADR for lunch at Le Cellier (Took me forever to get this ADR too)

19th - Home

We are doing Fantasmic on the 3rd too. Do you think this is the best night this week to do it? Friday has a lower predicted crowd level than Tuesday, but I thought being a Friday and the fact that MK will be closed for a Grad Night that Tuesday would be the better F! day. What do you think? Also, I'm hoping they add a second show to Tuesday...if so, we may just shoot for that instead of the earlier one.

Hey I am going in May too!!! I am so very very excited! I will be 26 weeks pregnant at the end of May. I am bringing my 7 year old son to Star Wars Weekend for his birthday present!! His birthday was in Feb but he has wanted to go to Star Wars weekend for the last 4 years, and we finally are doing, just me and my son. My mother will be meeting us so she can go on rides with him. So this will be my first trip without my husband, AND my son and I's FIRST plane ride ever!!! So.....heres our plans:
May 26th arrive at All Star Movies!! We chec k in early but we are going to just relax on this day. My son wants to eat at Rain Forest Cafe for dinner!
May 27th SWW at Hollywood Studios, dinner at Ohanas
May 28th SWW at Hollywood Studios, dinner at Chef Mickeys
May 29th SWW at Hollywood Studios, dinner at Mama Melrose Fantasmic package!
May 30th Epcot day, dinner at Coral Reef
May 31st MK Day, Dinner at Crystal Palace
June 1st Leave

Only 45 days to go!!! Headed down for really quick trip on our way to Tampa with my mom and dad. First time at Animal Kingdom Lodge! Keep a look out, my daughter will be easy to spot in crazy custom clothes!!!

May 14: Arrival, check-in AKL, swimming and dinner at 1900 Park Fare!

May 15: EPCOT for the last day of Flower and Garden, lunch at Akershus!

May 16: Check-out : ( Breakfast at 1900 Park Fare!!

1 - I see that my plans on some days are somewhat the same as some others here...I will be looking for Lime Green Mickey Heads!!
2 - I am so jealous of those going to Universal for Harry Potter, too!

May 10 - Epcot am, Waterpark noon - 5, Epcot pm

Do you think three SWW days are to much?

3 days is not too long IF he is a big SW fan. I heard some of the lines can get a bit crazy and long, so if he is going to wait in lines to see the special guests, get photos/autographs of the characters in their SW outfits, so the special shows, etc, then you may very well need 3 days...esp if you want to do any non-SW things like TSMM, RnR or ToT a few times.

May 7th rope drop at AK and hopping to Epcot for lunch and dinner.
At around 6-7 we hop in the car and drive over to Marco Island for
A week of the beach

35 days and counting. The disney days are a surprise for our little ones and it is getting harder to keep the secret every passing day!

Our itinerary (I'm working off memory because I left my notes at work.....Ummm, yes sir, Mr. Bossman, I'm really doing the job you pay me to do. Ummmm, no sir, Mr. Bossman, I don't have a clue why the Disboard site is on my computer screen ):

May 24th: Leave Louisiana after we get off work and drive as far as we can

May 25th: Finish up the drive to Walt Disney World; check in Port Orleans Riverside

May 26th: Nothing really planned other than doing a little grocery shopping and swimming. Dinner ADR at Rainforest Cafe to celebrate our son's 14th birthday (His birthday is actually the 24th but we'll be on the road)

May 27th: Check out of POR and check into Caribbean Beach Resort. This is also our Magic Kingdom day. Dinner ADR at Whispering Canyon Cafe

May 28th: Our 1st Epcot day. Dinner ADR at Coral Reef

May 29th: Hollywood Studios and Star Wars Weekend! Fantasmic Dinner Package at Mama Melrose

May 30th: Nothing planned. May go offsite for a little while and shop in Kissimmee and pick up a slaw dog from Checkers. Dinner ADR at Grand Floridian Cafe.

May 31st: Animal Kingdom. Dinner ADR at Ohana

June 1st: 2nd Epcot day. Dinner ADR at San Angel Inn

June 2nd: Nothing planned. Will probably swim in the morning, rent a surrey bike, eat lunch at the resort or possibly go to DTD. Dinner ADR at Turf Club and Cirque du Soliel at 9:00 p.m.

June 3rd: 2nd Magic Kingdom day. Dinner ADR at Crystal Palace

June 4th: Check out and head home. Start planning our next trip during the 16 hour drive.
