Official May 2009 Thread....The wait is on!!

We're in the single digits now!!! Next friday at 7:05 am we are wheels up on SWA headed for Disney!!!

Just found out last night that our neighbors are going the 9th -16th! They are staying off property, but we are going to try to get together.

Still have to pack clothes, but most of the other items are all set.

Almost time!!!

Wow...I don't know how we missed this thread, but we did. We're here in WDW area this week! I've already seen a few strollers with the lime green mickey heads, but no one near them to say hi to. We're hit or miss on the parks the next few days, as my wife is in a conference through the weekend. But after that, a few days in the parks!

(And while she is in the conference, I think me and the boy are going to sneak off to the parks for a few hours each day. I think we're going to get in trouble for it)

Yep, us to. Flying out jetblue next friday at 7am. Should be in florida a little after 9. Then we have the whole day. Doing Epcot that day. I still cant believe May is here.

I am so jealous that most of you are leaving soon. I still have 27 more days. We fly out in the morning, way early at 7:35 am from detroit and land in Orlando around 10am. At least we will have the whole day. We are staying in the cabins at Ft. Wilderness and are only doing 2 parks. MK and HS. I will start packing misc stuff on Sunday. Of course May is the busiest month in our household with doc appt, tball games, work, golf, end of school, ect, so I am sure it will fly by. All of you have a safe and fun trip. Hope to see some of you down there with the green ears.

We leave on Saturday afternoon on a jet plane to arrive at POR until Wednesday morning (May 2 - 6).

The niece's 15th BDay is on May 5.

Just to help spread some cheer, today at Epcot the crowd levels were not near as bad as I thought they would be. Granted, I know Epcot is not everyone's first choice to go to, but we had a few hours (me and the baby) and we ran around this afternoon. We were able to get on to such exciting rides as Spaceship Earth and Journey to Imagination with Figment with NO WAIT! YAY! I did say I had a 16 month old with me right?

Otherwise all the other lines didn't look too bad, and world showcase seemed rather light. Plenty of empty space in the park, and since we drove, the lot was less than half full. Maybe a 1/3 or less? Looked very low compared to some other times that I've seen it packed. Hope you all have a great time!

Us too!! We are having dinner at SanAngel Inn. Our flight is "supposed" to get in at 10:05, but every time we take this flight, we get there by 9:30. YEAH more time at Disney!

We too are staying at the cabins (1st time there). Your 27 days will fly by I'm sure. Have a great trip!

Ok I see reference to the lime green mickey heads but have never seen anything "official" on it. Do dissers wear lime green mickeys? Do you just make them at home? Sorry to not be in the loop even though I have been on this board 24/7 since we booked this trip!!!! haha.

Ok and weather in FL right now. It says high 80's to mid 60's. So in FL I am assuming high 80's is still shorts weather, right? But mid 60's, is that bring a sweatshirt to the park at night weather?

On our way Saturday at 5am arriving on Sunday for a week. Driving down from Virginia for the first time ever. We usually fly. This should be quite an adventure. Staying at Saratoga as usual cause we love it there!!!

Only 9 more days till I arrive at WDW, and 8 days till I leave for WDW from the west coast. Redeye flight from the west coast, leave here are 10pm and arrive at 9:30am. Ready for another 40 hours of being up the first day there.
