Official May 2009 Thread....The wait is on!!

Started packing today:thumbsup2 and was wondering how much your bags can weigh:confused3 anyone know? Trying to get a way with just two bags.

Thanks Kim

Check the TSA website to be sure but I think its 50 or 52 pounds.

If they are over 50 pounds then there is an extra charge. I know because no matter what my one suitcase always seems to weigh just over 50 pounds. :headache: They do give you an oppertunity to switch some items.

12 days and a wake up!! I am so excited. Trying to put tog. the last minute stuff on paper (fride swap, photo pass...) and make those list of things to pack. The weather is so wacky here right now (60's today and 80's this wknd) I can't pack too much of my stuff yet. Already packed the kids stuff.

We just got our packets with luggage tags and the like!! Yeah!!! It seems even more real now that we're going again-oh, I can't wait!! I'm so excited that I've considered packing my carryon already-LOL!

Good news May Dissers!!! Shuttle Atlantis is scheduled for liftoff on May 12th at 1:31 pm, so anyone at disney that day should be able to look east and see it go up, or you can make your way over here to the coast to see it! It's an awesome sight if you have never seen it, I live here and it NEVER gets old!!! NEVER!!!

We are soooo excited for this! We check out Sunday the 10th and are heading to Cocoa Beach for a couple days then to Nasa. Big happy dance! :woohoo:

THE TICKER FINALLY SAYS 30 DAYS!!!!!:woohoo:

:dance3:made my tentative schedule yesterday!!! DH asked me to wait until we were month out... DID IT YESTERDAY!!!! now I just have to tweak, dance, and relax... will pack 7 days out...have most of the toiletries...

Does anyone know is All Star Sports has hairdryers in the room? One website I read said it did another said it was available upon request.:confused3:confused3

:cheer2::banana::cool1::yay:

I did my on line check in today!! :cool1: tomorrow my ticker will officially say single digits!!

Was irritated w/ mom though. Just need to vent. Any time I ask about it, or for their openion she doesn't have one. "it's your vacation, what ever is fine" but when she finally pops in (like about on line check in) she seem irrked when the answer I have isn't what she thinks it should be. Example I did the online check in. In other words confirmed the info is correct and we can skip that part of the step. So I tell her we still have to go to the hotel to get our room key, ticket, food voucher info... so she says "we aren't check in them" uuggg :sad2: yes we are but we can't get into a park w/o tickets! Unless they overnight them to us we may not get them in time.
Sorry needed to vent.

not much longer. Made some id tags, packed the snack suit case and started a pile of my clothes.

Hey...I just found this tread from a CSR resourt thread (thanks!) ....I think I could stay up all night playing catch up.

We will be at CSR May 9th to the 16th & celebrating our 9th anniversary (we did WDW for our Honeymoon) and this will be our first big family vacation!

I must be honest that the countdown for this trip feels much like the countdown for the wedding and the ever awaiting birth of the kids.

I'm so thankful for the amount of information I have gotten from these boards... While some may say ignorance is bliss - I am in the knowledge is power camp! :flower3:

It's getting so close everyone! May is right around the corner! I have 17 days to go and I'm hoping to start packing this weekend. :cheer2::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay:

Not sure about epcot, when you get there, ask a CM which way east is, and look that way! :) I usually don't go too far when it goes up due to the traffic here, it gets CRAZY!!! I work at a bank off US1 right across the river from where it goes up, and it's going up during the middle of the day, so it's gonna be packed!! Hopefully it clears up by the time I go home! :) But, it's neat watching it from this close...you not only see it, but you "feel" it....awesome!!! Never gets old!!! Happy birthday to you!!!! :cheer2:

Thanks so much! I will just have to ask. Hopefully you wont be stuck in traffic and it will all clear out!

Thanks for the B-day wishes too! :goodvibes

We will be there at the same time! Enjoy your anniversary! We did WDW for our anniversary too. :)

Boy it sure looks like the weather is going to be great when we are there! Hot in the day and cool at night. Perfect.

Looking forward to seeing many of you at Pop when we are there. we are celebrating my dad's 60th birthday. I have arranged so many surprises including a cake at the California Grill, a basket of treats to be delivered when we arrive from the Disney Florist and a illuminations cruise.

Come on May 15th!!!!

I am so excited! I have knots in my stomach and I just feel like hopping up and down! Every day, the kids tell me how many days we have left and it's just so awesome to see them so excited, too. Last time we went (their first time) we kept it a secret so they didn't have that build-up of anticipation and it was kind of a let down when we told them. But this time - they're so happy and it's been nice to have them helping to plan things about the trip.

How will I last another 7 days before we leave?! And how will I get everything done that I want to get done before we go?!!!

Eeeeeeeeee!!!!

I know exactly how you feel! We fly out a week from tomorrow :yay: This will be the first trip for my family. I have not been this excited about anything in a long time, I can not wait to see Disney through my childrens' eyes!

OH MY GOODNESS, I am with you all!!!! I making my DS4 right now watch out Disney Vacation planning DVD! I am so stinking excited to go and yet so nervous because #1) we are leaving DS19months behind and we have never left him before, #2) I feel like I haven't planned enough this trip (I have purposefully tried to not over plan since this is going to be about DS4 and I want him to have fun), and #3) having no idea how DS4 will react to certain rides (he really wants to ride everything, including TOT and I am afraid he will go on one "bad" ride and never go on another one!).

Just thinking about all this makes me want to go take a xanax, haha!

I started pulling out my clothes to take this morning!! I seriously can't believe how close it is... I have been excited for this trip for over a year and I get chills just thinking about it!!!:cool1:

PrincessbrideJo, can I just say that if your 4-year-old doesn't have a lot of experience with rides, it might be worth planning your time so you work up gradually to the scarier ones! Start with Barnstormer, then maybe Big Thunder Mountain before trying Splash Mountain (with its one big drop) and then maybe move on to the more dramatic roller coasters. I've seen it happen with other kids (including my 11 year old niece) where they did one ride that scared them and then didn't want to do anything else.

Teresa (who also leaves in a week and a day - but we're driving, so won't be there until May 4th)

I know i'm getting colser now, Mickey sent me the last of my papaerwork today and sent More luggage tags and 30 min. arcade card, :cool1: now all thats left is for May 23rd to get here :worship:
