I really enjoyed the carriage ride around the two resorts if you haven't tried that yet (and they haven't stopped them). It was 2013 when we stayed there.

This will be my first stay at POFQ. Actually my first stay at anything other than a Value resort. Previously we have stayed at Pop Century, All Star Movies, Art of Animation, and All Star Music. I think they still do the carriage rides.

Thanks for the welcome. Shades of Green (SOG) is a military hotel at WDW located in the MK area. Thought we'd try it since prices are reasonable and SOG guests have access to Early Entry and Extended Evening Hours (like Swan & Dolphin).

We just booked a bounceback reservation for March. We're staying at POR from March 9 -13. I'm really looking forward to the Flower & Garden Festival and the nice weather in March.

Joining in! My DH and I will be at our home resort of Boulder Ridge Villas from March 8-12 and at AKL~ Jambo in a savannah view room from March 12-15. March 9-12 is our park focus with our AKL time resort only. We are really looking forward to Flower and Garden, it's my favourite festival. We are hoping to get both the Wild Africa Trek and Starlight Savannah for our dates.

We have been taking Disney trips with the sisters, my sister and DH's sister. We finally all have AP's and need to make good use of them. The Flower and Garden Show will be a first for my sister-in-law. I still remember the first time we experienced F&G. I was blown away by it. And the festival has some of my favorite food booths.

Welcome suse66! We will be there the same week. I am eagerly awaiting the announcement of the concert series. I am hoping someone I like will be performing that week.

We'll be there for 5 nights at Pop Century, starting Sunday, March 2nd, with 4-day park hopper tickets.

It's my daughter's college spring break that week, but because it also falls on Mardi Gras week this year, we're wondering what crowds will be like with Louisiana residents taking advantage of the holiday.

We got the Florida Resident discount, but only a standard room was available. I keep checking every day to try for a preferred room closer to the skyliner, because, yeah, at the end of the day our feet will be hurting!

We have been to opening day of F&G and it tends to have everything open. The food is usually good on opening day because they know that the bloggers will be out in force.

They don't usually have a soft opening for the food booths. I don't know about media previews, but Disney posts the menus ahead of time.

Are the Flower and Garden concerts during the week or only on weekends, we will only be there Monday - Thursday, then we head to Fort Myers for college softball?

The Flower and Garden concerts are only on certain nights. But there are minor bands that play on the other days. One of our favorite bands is one of the small ones that plays on a non-concert night. They usually post the schedule for these small bands when they get closer to the festival dates.

We are booked for March 25-29 a quick split stay between Beach Club and Wyndham DS. We stayed at Wyndham last trip for one night after adding a day bc of better flights and I thought it was great for the the price and distance to DS.

I am a bit upset that I realized after booking Beach Club that Stormalong Bay will be closed from Jan-June but oh well. It may not even be warm enough to swim. We went the same week last year and only got in the pool once.

We’re staying at the Polynesian from 3/8 to 3/15. We’ve never done a deluxe so I’m super excited about extended evening hours! Does anybody know how crowded those hours get, especially during spring break?

We are going that same week and staying at the Boardwalk. Since you were there at the same time last year, how were the crowds? It is the only week we can go and I am a little afraid of the Spring Break crowds!

@cberhorst We only went to Epcot for Flower & Garden but I don't remember it being crazy. Lines for the food booths were manageable. I purchased a Lightning Lane for Guardians and remember walking on to Soarin' and Living with the Land later in the night.
