***Official March 2021 Thread***

Has anyone been to Wine Bar George? I am trying to get reservations for a restaurant at DS for a certain night and right now that's what I have booked. DH, adult DD and I love wine, so that's not an issue. But, is there food there that will please the teeny-boppers? I don't think they're super adventurous, but they are good sports. The dinner menu looks pretty limited other than the tapas plates. I would really prefer Boathouse or Homecomin'. Although, I did see an opening for Jaleo and Paradiso 37. Thoughts? TIA!

I haven’t but I have a friend who is local and Wine Bar George has become their absolute favorite

And thanks for all the kind words! We’ve gone in to this trip with the idea all along that cancelling was on the table but when possibly faced with it... now packing can start!

I love WBG, but the menu is definitely limited. Everything is excellent though! Have you tried open table? Many of the DS restaurants are on there and seem to be more readily available than booking directly through Disney.

So the number 1 thing my DH wants to do for his birthday on our March trip is go to Savis.... I feel terrible because I completely forgot to book this for him :/ major wife fail.

Is there a tool to watch for Savis openings like there is dining?
When are you there? We may need to move ours on the 22nd

We just added two days to our 3/7-3/11 trip 😍 our first split stay - AKL and SSR! With the extra time, hoping to try some new dining. Spam me with your favorites!! We’re not explorative diners (though we are trying Sanaa for the first time since stay at AKL) and will have our 2y/o with us, so bonus points for fun kids dining!

Hope those who plan to visit WDW in March already made park reservations.
MK/DHS/AK are all out during the week of 3/15, except for AP holders.
Hope you all have a fun trip and please report back upon return.

How odd that on March 15-16, AK is sold out for APs but MK and HS are not. Never seen that before.
The closer we get to this trip the clearer it becomes I need to have my kids and DH pick just one “must do” for each park and then we’ll do everyone’s favorite thing and go back and swim at the resort. Definitely not a trip where we can do it all!

I also went through and considerably upped the number of our ADRs. I hate all the indoor dining risk, but seems like it will be just too crowded to count on mobile order not being backed up and being able to find a table at QS big enough for our family of 5.

First impressions for you all...
We went to epcot tonight after arriving.
When we first got there, everyone was following distancing and masks! I felt my anxiety melting away 😉
We had dinner at La Hacienda de San Angel. Was our first time in a restaurant in a year. Tables were well spaced, it felt very clean and safe. The margarita probably helped me relax too 🤣
After dinner we rode Frozen (20 min wait) and were walking out 10 minutes after park close.
So. Many. Stumbling. Drunks. 🤦🏻‍♀️
All with masks down and no distancing at all. In fact one girl actually barreled into me and her group just laughed. At least she hit me and not my kid!

Overall, it feels very safe here!! I know there have been lots of reports saying the same, but just wanted to add to it for anyone else like me having anxiety before coming!

Well...sadly, we are officially out. 😭 The logistics of the trip planning caught up with us in the past few weeks and we reached that moment where we planned until we couldn't. BF's travel restrictions at work make going out of state or our immediate metro area right now very difficult--he could not return onsite to his workplace for 10 days upon coming home and extended remote work isn't practical that long for him. I'm bummed but at some sort of peace with the decision...with the way the pandemic has wreaked havoc on our schedules we weren't as ready to go now as perhaps we thought we were.

However, not all is sad! We will be going for the 50th anniversary weekend staying at the Riviera and then again for BF's birthday in December at the CR, TPV! Tentatively also one day in June for me for a dear friend's bachelorette day--that ought to be a blast.

Wishing everyone going this month safe, healthy travels and beautiful weather, and will look forward to reading trip reports!
