***Official March 2021 Thread***

UGH. I'm actually not happy about the hours at all...

1.. does that mean things are going to be even more packed than I feared
2.. we're already rope dropping so some of those days are sooooo early
3.. now I have to try and come up with all new plans for most days
4... did I mention ugh...

JUST learned about how to practice from home without tickets. So basically, you follow all the tips and tricks of getting a boarding group, and if you eventually get to the "Not So Fast" page, it means you were actually successful. I meant to try today at 7, but forgot! I'm going to try at 1:00!
please share!!! I need to try myself.

For anyone there this next week, I just noticed these changes (at least since last Friday when I most recently checked):

Sunday, Feb 28th - AK - 8 AM to 7 PM (was 6 PM) AND MK - 9 AM to 8 PM (was 7 PM)

Friday, Mar 5th - MK - 9 AM to 9 PM (was 7 PM), Epcot 11 AM to 9 PM (was 8 PM),

I am not happy about it either. I mean I'm glad they extended the hours later. But I was planning to be at the parks an hour early to utilize that time to beat some of the crowds. And that was acceptable to everyone when 2 of the parks opened later. But now we'd have early days every day but epcot day and no one is looking forward to that. I really do NOT want to be at MK at 7 am. AK I'll aim for the later part of the day to beat the crowds hopefully.

That's the one that hurts the most. lol I'm not thrilled about AK at 7:00 either. Everyone pretty much knew we would be out the door by 7:00/7:30 most mornings but they weren't planning on 6:00.

We hadn't planned park hoppers because of the shortened hours but we might have to rethink. I have to see what other dining reservations and the like open up.

I’d rather just wait in line then be up before 6am on vacation lol

I can't believe some of y'all's trips start in 2 days! In the 6 months that this thread was started, sometimes it seemed the time was flying and sometimes it seemed it was moving as slow as pond water. Y'all will have to check in when you get back and let us know all the details.

Wow I didn’t even catch the earlier openings! Does that mean they will unofficially open at 7:15? What does that mean for when transportation starts?! I have so many questions!

Sorry about that. Got you added. You're there the same time as me so every time I see someone with Twins I will wonder if it's you LOL
Yep--maybe will see you there! We are doing Sat AK, Sun HS, Mon EP, Tues MK, Wed BB (if weather permits), and Thurs EP. If you see two identical nine-year olds those may be mine, though it's actually three little boys now--I got this disboards username before our littlest arrived (now five years old).

The early AK hours prompted us to redo our park passes. We are now doing AK on arrival day even though we won’t get there till early afternoon, because with the later park close we should still be able to do the few things that are open there that we like (FOP, EE and Safari), and I like Pandora at night. Plus the opening time is too early for us to rope drop so we might as well get there late.

we aren’t starting at any of the same parks on the same day but we will be hopping so maybe we will. If you see 6 ladies (ranging from 15- 52) together it just might be me and my crew. Truth be told you’d probably hear us before you saw us. My oldest sister is very loud naturally and when we are together we tend to laugh a lot! Lol.

That's actually not a bad idea. We're doing the same thing and not coming in until later one day. Maybe we could head to AK instead of Epcot and move things around. We were meeting a local friend at AK Friday but she won't care what we do with our plans.

I think there are a number of us on this thread who will be at WDW in the next couple of days. We arrive on Sunday and the forecast is 90 degrees! That is a little bit too hot but much better than being cold. :)

I arrive tomorrow and the temps do look a tad warm. Fortunately, the humidity isn't as high this time of year which helps tremendously!

We also fly in tomorrow... I can't believe how quickly it came. And ya that heat.. Sat-Mon could be record breaking. Including a day that record goes back to the 1910's (or something). We booked using the more common temperatures as a bonus as I was not going to go there during the summer with Masks. Jokes on me I guess... lol

Enjoy your trip and take comfort in knowing that a fellow board member is pouring with sweat also.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I'll wave to you! AND just a reminder: take extra masks for the parks so if they get sweaty you can change them out! It was warm when I was there in October which is why I switched to those disposable masks over cuteness.

haha, we will wave back also, I guess it's best to just spin around in a circle when doing so to "send" it in all directions to be safe.

And ya we are taking a large box of disposables for that reason, I know I will be swapping them out often.
