Official March 2013 thread

If we stay the first week of March will we avoid the March Break crowds?

I wonder this, too. We'll be there March 3-10. I know the last 2 days have much higher crowd calendars than earlier. EasyWDW has 4s as the crowd level M-Th, jumping to a 6 on Friday and a 7 on Saturday (our last park day).

We've never gone during a busy time before. Last year we went the week before President's Day and the crowds were so small it was great. But as DS is at a different school, he has a different break.

Wow, DisneyAngel05, I noticed your signature showing you've visited all the Disney parks in the world...what a very cool thing to be able to say (and, you're not even 30 yet!!)

Thanks!

I was a cast member is Aust while we still had disney stores here, a trip to Disneyland is kind of like the ultimate holiday here and then I got hooked!
The thing I love so much is that they're always changing and adding things so you can never say you've seen it all.
Can't wait to see the new Fantasyland. Gosh I forgot how exciting it can be and now I feel so disorganised!

that's so cool! I can't wait to see the new Fantasyland and eat in Belle's castle.

OK, fellow Marchers! Since we're on the downhill slide, what are you most looking forward to for your upcoming trip to the World? Whether this is your first time or not, what are you most anticipating?

Great idea!

1) Staying for a whole week! We live in Florida so we have only gone for short trips (weekends, usually).
2) Surprising my youngest son with a lunch at T-Rex. Every time we go to DTD, he sighs and says how much he wishes we could eat here.
3) Eating at Be Our Guest restaurant for dinner, as well as checking out the new Fantasyland Expansion.
4) Being with my sister at WDW - we haven't been together since we were kids...about 17 years ago or so.

Getting close!

It's great to see all the ADR for Be our Guest! I'm so annoyed at myself, I completely forgot to do it last year and have now missed out.
Hoping for maybe a cancellation, or will just go at lunch!

How accurate is Easy WDW? We generally travel in May when it's not so busy, this is our first March trip so I'm a bit freaked out about crowds!
I've never used Easy WDW before, but it seems pretty comprehensive!
Do other people use its advice?

Hi all,

Checking into the March thread!
I'll be back in the World March 6-12 flying solo.
DS 17 didn't want to miss school :rotfl2: so he'll be staying with Gram & Pap.

Eating dinner at BOG for supper on my birthday.

Going to splurge for the first time!!

I just made ADR's for myself for dinner at Victoria & Albert's, the evening before my b-day.

Kinda nervous about such a fancy meal as a solo diner but just as excited!
Thinking about what I am going to wear :)

Lots of people use Josh's advice and he seems to be right. I'm following his suggestions...

Hi everyone!:wave2: We are going to Pombano Beach for DS's wedding, so being so close, one can't leave Florida without a Disney trip!!!

So we will be at the World from March 24th through the 30th. We have only ever come in January and October and the crowds are low then so this will be different. Also, we usually have free dining so that too will be a change for us. We are only staying for 5 days though so shouldn't be too bad.

I'm most excited about sharing this experience with our 8 month old Grandson!!! Although he won't recognize or remember alot of it, we will and I couldn't be more excited. Also, the fact that there will be 4 generations here to celebrate DS and DDIL's "Disneymoon". He gets deployed shortly after so we all decieded to come.....will either be alot of fun or hopefully not go the other way....lol:rotfl2:

Can't wait until then!!!!!!!~

That's so cool to have all of your family at WDW for that!! I noticed your kids' ages...you have quite a spread! To have a DS10 and a grandbaby...pretty cool! (Oh, and my DH grew up in Hickman, NE!!) Yes, the March crowds are going to be a whole different world from our usual October crowds, but we just plan on rolling with the punches!

This will be my kids first trip to WDW so I am just excited to share all of the magic with them! I cannot wait until this trip.

Hi March trip planners! There is a Groupon for the Parasailing at the Contemporary again! We used it in August last year and had a blast. It has to be used 90 days from purchase so I thought I'd mention it in the planning threads. Hope someone can make use of the deal!:)
