** Official ** March 2011!!!

That all looks great to me, Tara! :goodvibes

After months of waiting, I finally got to make my ADRs this morning. I got everything I wanted at the times I wanted. I was kind of surprised at how easy it was to get everything. Maybe because we're just a party of 2 (dh & I)? Anyway- Woohoo! Here's my list-

Sat EP
Kona Cafe 8:30a

Fri ?
Didn't make any plans here.. we'll have to be on DME at about 2 and I have no idea which park we'll even hit that day. Probably grab EOS to go for the flight on the way out.

Not exactly super excited about Rainforest or T-Rex (am about Y&Y), but I have gift certificates for Landry's from Mypoints, so those meals are free so that's where we're going. :rotfl:

That's alot of eating! Enjoy it! I also found it incredibly easy to get all of the times I wanted and we are a party of five. :cool1:

True. It's 2 TS meals a day for most days. It's just DH and I on this trip for our anniversary. We haven't been to WDW in over 20 years and are really looking forward to just sort of taking it slow and trying things out. Of course, some of the ADRs we have we might just cancel on the day (like T-Rex, Via Napoli).. just figured we would be smarter to have them just in case than to be without an ADR, kwim? :goodvibes

It sounds like an awesome trip. My 20 yr anniversary is in 2 years so I am hoping to score a nice trip myself.

I kept going back between March and May, but today me and DS17 booked for Feb28 to March5.

We did free dining and got eveything we had wanted and times, I could not believe it. so that leads me to believe that it will not be busy that week, also being my birthday month. so it all good;)

Now I just around extra 450.00 for airfair

I found it very easy to get the dining times I wanted....either people just have not booked yet for my week (which is supposed to be very busy) or no free dining is keeping ressies to a minimum.

Yep, I found the same to be true (though granted, I only made 4 ADRs and I wasn't trying to get anything like Le Cellier...) and we'll be a party of 5 too for this trip. I think for all the ones I made, it offered me multiple time choices too. We can hope that bodes well for crowds and lines, huh? :rotfl:

We're hoping for low crowds too! I also got all the ressie's and times I wanted for the week (March 3 - 12) :goodvibes I've been hearing the crowd levels are supposed to be on the high side :confused3 I guess we shall see!:3dglasses

Just added a 3rd person to my package and was able to change all my ADR's to the exact times except LeCellier which we had to switch to lunch (first meal of the trip!) since 8:45 PM on travel day was wayyy too late to eat and that is all they had open.

So my dates and ADR's look like this:
2/28-3/4 staying at POR , us 3 girls (one of which is turning 30 during the trip!)

Day 1:
Le Cellier lunch
San Angel dinner

Day 2:
GF Cafe breakfast
LTT lunch
Kona dinner

Day 3: Best friends birthday meals!
Tusker House breakfast
Yak & Yet lunch
Narcoossee dinner

Day 4:
Planet Hollywood lunch
Via Napoli dinner

Day 5: (going back home :( )
Raglan Road lunch

Lots of ADR's, but we are on the DLXDDP and can never have too much Disney food ;)

Can't wait!!!!!!!!!! Now to get through the fall and part of the winter.

I know, I've been hearing/reading conflicting things on crowd levels. We'll be the 4th-12th, so same as you guys. My own gut feeling is that maybe all of March/April will be slightly more crowded than usual because it sounds like spring breaks are really varied next year with such a late Easter - but I'm hoping that with our dates, so far from actual Easter, that we'll be good. :goodvibes

Michelle, that all sounds wonderful. :goodvibes I wanted to do GFC breakfast too, but DH wanted to try just 1 buffet so we went with CP.

I'm super interested in crowd levels too. I'm hoping b/c Easter is so late in April, that it won't be insane. Of course, it's not as big a deal since it's just DH and I. I'd be more stressed if we were going with our 4 kids.

i think disney would like us to think levels are going to be high, but I know several friends we had talked to about going at SB have decided not to go due to the economy. One depends on commissions and one has a company that is once again restructuring and he isn't sure if he will end up with a job.

The economy is pretty bad in many places. Unemployment is at the highest it has been in a very long time.

I just don't think the crowds will be that bad in March - maybe a bit worse at the end when Easter is closer - but I think through most of the month it will be fine.

I know Sept is a slowish month. But I did read a few threads were people had just gotten back and said it was a ghost town.

This will be our 8th WDW trip during the first 10 days of March, 3/2 - 3/10 this time. The crowds have never been worse than what I'd call 'Moderate'. Get to your early park at ropedrop, use FP and you'll do fine. We hit a non-Epcot park early, then hop to WS around noon/1pm and have a relaxed afternoon there, WS never seems crowded, with the exception of Fri/Sat during F&W. March is the 3rd lowest in precipitation, daily highs usually in the mid 70s with an 80 or two thrown in. That week in March 2009 had a few chilly mornings, but I rarely need long sleeves in the daytime and long pants even less. It's a great week.

Just found this thread! We booked for March just about a week ago... did our ADR's over the weekend. It was all sort of a whirlwind... we'd been debating and debating and finally just said LET'S DO IT! (Sorry for the yelling, but I'm so excited. :cool1:)

We've never been in March (we haven't gone that many times anyway... as much as I love it, we have to save up for quite a few years in between) but it sounds like a great time to go and I'll be reading back through when I can to see if anyone here is a repeat March-er and has any good advice!

Officially changed resorts: from POP to POR. My teenager decided that she would join us on Spring Break so needed room for 5. Really hoping for a discount.

Great Info. thanks. Although, I'm still a bit off on the lingo. What is F&W? Oh... wait... Food and Wine?

BTW - Great name - I'm a PSU alum and a PA native myself. :thumbsup2

Feb 26 to March 5 at the Poly Club Level

Looking to avoid some crowds, hopefully be able to swim and enjoy some sunshine! Just booked today. I will fax my requests to the Poly IPO tomorrow and see what kind of dining they come up with.

I am Looking forward to planning, obsessing and wishing for some 80 degree days

I have also read that from Feb 28 to March 4 would be a 2 out of 5 when it comes to crowds.

I booked the same time frame.

Wait Wait!!! Don't forget us!! We are staying at POFQ Mar 2-12!! I have not been to WDW since 1997! At that time I lived in Indiana and could drive!! But, since my move out to the Southwest years ago, it has been Disneyland!! So, I am Uber-excited to see WDW again!! Last time I went there was no Dining plan and they were working on Animal Kingdom. DHS was Disney-MGM Studios!! YEs...long time!!!:rotfl: So, I have been reading tons on the boards to catch up on all the changes! I have most of the ADR's booked! This will be DD4's first trip to the World and I am sooo excited to take her to CRT!!:cheer2:
I had no idea we would be there for Mardi Gras, that is the icing on the cake!! yay! We decided to book through our AAA agent, not that the price was cheaper, but because of the extra perks (like storybook reading with kids). Looking forward to the Flower/Garden festival in Epcot!! My Travel agent told me that the first wknd we are there is ESPN sports weekend at the Wide World of SPorts complex!! There is supposed to be professional athletes there participating in activities!! wahoo!! So, we added an extra day to our trip just to have a day to peruse the Sports Complex!:yay: Dont mind the warm weather since we typically take DLR trips in the summer, but hoping to avoid rain!! Fingers crossed. I have yet to a make a trip to WDW with no rain!!
Can anyone think of any tips I should be aware of? Treat me like a first-timer since so much has changed since I was last there! Thanks everyone!!
