** Official ** March 2011!!!

It seems the park hours that were posted here and they may not be right. I checked disneyworld.com which should have the ACTUAL park hours and they aren't out yet.

It doesn't matter as much to me this trip (except when it comes to booking dining at Narcoossee for example so I can time Wishes) since we are just going to "wing" it for our first time ever. No real plans (except food!) and just do what we want, how we want, when we want. Not even planning on many rides.

Though Id love to stay for EMH at Epcot for once. I usually get my wristband and leave within an hour (kids get moody). Drinking around the countries is a must do for this trip though ;)

Put the Hadley's on the list.
We'll be in the World March 27 through April 2.
Right now plans are to stay at the Swan (unless some amazing promotional offer comes up for Disney-owned properties).

Isn't the Swan and Dolphin just as expensive as most Disney owned properties?

With available discounts, the Swan is coming out to be approximately the same cost as a MOD resort.
I know that DME isn't available for Swan/Dolphin, but we're visiting relatives in the area beforehand, so we'll have a car. And I know we can't charge to our room in the Parks, but we've never done that, so that doesn't matter.
I like the idea of a more deluxe hotel in the Epcot resort area for the same cost as a MOD.

Yeah, if anyone has a link for crowd levels, it would be appreciated. I can not seem to find that information on my own. I am going to be staying March 13 - 19, so if anyone has information for those dates, it would be very helpful. Thanks.

I got it from Touringplans.com. You do have to pay for it, but so far it's been a great site and worth the $10.

Hi everyone. I haven't officially booked anything yet, but we are planning to go March 4-11 or 12th. My oldest daughter is in kindergarten and she'll be off that week for Mardi Gras. My youngest daughter will be 4 on March 5, so it will be a great way to celebrate her birthday! We'll be staying offsite at Windsor Hills. I'm trying to convince my Dad to come with us. He'll be 78 on March 14, so we can celebrate his birthday early while there ~ IF we can make him come with us!!!

Looks like the official park hours are out on the Disney website. Let the ADR's planning begin!

Woohoo! Count me in :) Nothing booked yet but I theres no reason for it not to happen, waiting for some bargain deals to pop up. Will be staying offsite though - a 17 year olds budget isn't as accomodating to stay onsite unfortunatly lol!

One question though: What will the weather be like early March?!

The park hours are out? Huzzah! Thanks for the tip; will start planning immediately.

Booked my flights a couple of days ago--found an airfare I couldn't pass up. I was shocked by how high some of the prices were for the same dates on JetBlue. I mean, I know it's college spring break, but it's the middle of March! What's with 600 dollars round trip from LGA?

ETA: DisMomAmy, my parents will be coming to Vistana just as you're leaving, on the 6th! And then my friend and I will be joining them the week after, on the 13th. We're so excited! Vistana is our home away from home, and going there is very special for us.

I found another site with a weather link....let me look and see if I can locate it again.

I think it was pretty much the same as when we went at the end of Feb 09 - highs around 65-72 daily and lows around 50. I brought a light jacket/hoodie for the nights and wore mainly capris/jeans and short sleeved Tshirts most days. Shorts would proabably work too. It was sunny and didnt rain the whole time we were there.

I just booked the airfare on AirTran, March 2 - 11. We've had the DVC points we're renting half paid for since around April, but in our minds the trip is not 'Official' until we have our flights. It will be interesting this time down, we're taking a 5:30 pm flight out of Allentown Pa on that Wed, staying, hopefully, at the Hyatt Regency that night, then a Tiffany pick-up, Publix stop and on to BoardWalk in time to get to Epcot for FW ropedrop. We're going to hang around all day after check-out and go back to the Hyatt in front of a Fri flight back. Next weekend, ADRs!

I know what you mean!!! My resort is booked but until I book the airfare I just don't feel like it's real:rotfl:

I'm still trying to decde if we will fly in on the 3rd of March first thing in the morning, OR fly in late on the 2nd and stay an extra night for $100 cheaper (and tha cheaper with the airfare AND the hotel).

Now that I write it out, it seems like a no brainer......right......someone agree with me so that I can just call and add the extra day already, afterall I'm saving money.

Well IPO has been written and I've filled out their questionaire. ADRs are set, but not made. I even added one night to our vacation. So now our dates are 3/6-3/7 at WL in a studio and 3/7-3/12 at AKL CL studio.

I've looked at airfare but our dates are still way too high flying Spirit out of the airport 30 minutes from my house and SW hasn't released the flights for coming home yet out of Philly. Since we went this time last year we are pretty confident that Spirit will lower its rates. If worse comes to worse DH is all about driving.

I am trying not to get excited about this trip since I have a feeling it probably will not happen. If not then we will go to F&W in Nov 11.

Yea, I made all our ADR's this morning! The first lady I spoke to was very short and it was pretty clear she didn't want to be there. I would ask for a 10am breakfast and she would say "All I have is 8:00." This went for every reservation. So I just took what she gave me. Then later this afternoon I check online and there was several more times then she mentioned. So I called back and got a super nice lady that helped me get the times I was looking for and even added in our "celebrations" to every reservation. I am so happy I called back! Man the 5+ months is going to go so slowwwwwww

Since this will be our first time on the dining plan, I wondered if it is easier to made ADR's online? or on the phone?

thanks!!

I agree with you. Do it. ;)

I find it easier to book ADRs online, but I'm sure other people prefer the phone. I like doing it online because I feel like I can see the range of what is available instead of someone telling me, and also if you need to cancel one it's fairly easy to do. I know one trick people use is to set up different tabs or windows in your internet browser, one for each restaurant, ready to go at the start time.

Thanks for the Tip!! Yes, I'm all about seeing my options, and since I'm not the crazy about talking on the phone I'm glad to see that the online option is easy!!!

Booked the timeshare (Bonnet Creek Resort, based on these boards), and the airfare. It's a long (and expensive) trip from California to Florida, but it's really going to happen!! Oh, March 24-April 2.
