*OFFICIAL MARCH 2010 THREAD* - Lets countdown together!

Food wise...think steak. Doctor's orders!:confused3

That would be great if I liked steak!:sad2:

Looks like it'll be just fish and veggies. :guilty: I'm already on salt restriction, limited caffeine and low fat! I called Ghirardelli, they have a no-sugar added vanilla swirl, but no sugar free fudge sauce. Not exciting but better than nothing. I will mourn my Dole Whip and Margarita. I guess I'd better plan on enjoying smelling the topiary because I don't like rollercoasters :scared1: That'll be me on Its A Small World 75 times!:sad2:

There is a strong chance we will be going to Disney the end of March, beginning of April. :goodvibes

My only concern is the crowds, we usually go the first two weeks of Dec. But I figure we do not do the roller coasters or more exciting rides so we should be okay.

This is what I've got listed on my chart:

Sunday March 28th: Hollywood Studios Reason: they have morning EMH the day before
Monday Mar. 29th: Magic Kingdom: they have Late EMH the night before
Tuesday Mar 30th: Animal Kingdom: everyone else should be at MK or EP
Wednesday March 31st: EPCOT: because they had late EMH the night before
Thurs. April 1st: AK or DHS: eveyone else should be at MK or EP
Friday April 2nd: EPCOT or MK, because EPCOT had late hours the day before and MK had early EMH

The choices are based on the theory that the parks with the EMH that day will be the most crowded.

This is from TouringPlans.com
Sun, 28 Mar '10 7 * AK * MK EP DS Spring Break Season Ends
Mon, 29 Mar '10 7 * MK EP * DS AK
Tue, 30 Mar '10 7 * AK DS * MK EP
Wed, 31 Mar '10 7 * MK EP * DS AK
Thu, 01 Apr '10 9 * AK DS * MK EP
Fri, 02 Apr '10 9 * EP * MK DS AK
in their plan, the first collumn is the crowd calendar number, the 2nd collumn is the park to go to, the 3rd collumn is the parks to avoid.

Unless you're going to see Fantasmic, I would avoid DHS on Sunday, Tuesday, or Thursday.

10 Days!!!

To online checkin or not to online checkin... that is my dilemma today.

What is everyone doing? Thoughts?

To online checkin or not to online checkin... that is my dilemma today.

I'm braving it and doing on-line check-in tomorrow. I'm keeping my fingers crossed it'll make things easier for us! Hope you have a great trip too!

We leave in 22 days and I have so much to do. I am excited about going but have no motivation right now I have ADR's and that is about all. I need to buy all the stuff for the girls Easter Baskets and also get shopping done for the trip. I have to start pulling out summer clothes and just can't seem to do it, I am hoping this Weekend to at least get some of the clothes together.

Sorry about that. It is sad, and altering, and hard. Be careful with the no sugar added stuff, though. Sometimes, it may make your blood sugar react anyway. Depends on the person. Do they have you testing blood sugars yet? On a positive note, assuming you are walking a lot, the walking helps--a lot! And yes, definitely stop and enjoy the topiaries, and flowers! :flower3:

You can take or leave this advice but diet is very important when you're ill. Double your water intake and try to stick to fresh fruits, veggies, beans and grains. Very little meat, fish, dairy or processed sugars will help your body use it's energy to get you better rather than digesting food. Rest physically to conserve energy for getting you well. It's not so bad. DH and I always go on a fruits and veggies fast in the 5 days before WDW anyway since we guzzle down sweets the whole time we are there and it helps us to not gain more than a few pounds.:goodvibes

Don't panic. Six days is more than enough time to get well:goodvibes

Thanks for the good advice. I'm going to take it easy and try to eat all the right things for my body so I'll be good to go!

You'll be fine! I just got off the phone with my doctor's office. I failed my fasting blood sugar so they're sending me for an A1c, but what this really means... the nurse said... no pasta, no bread, no potatoes or corn... and no sweets... well, the definition of no sweets is... no DOLE WHIP!! No Ghirardelli's and No Mango Margarita! :sad1:
is there some other fun things to do there?

I hope you find some good healthy things to eat while you are there! :goodvibes

Single digits for us too. We leave next Friday and are staying in Tallahassee that night. It is just now hitting us we are going. Wife and I were talking about beginning to pack tonight. We always bring too much. I usually bring 4-5 pair of shorts and a pair or two of pants and end up only were two pair of shorts and two or three shirts the whole 5 days. I bring lots of underwear though. Crazy. Getting excited. Such a relief doing the QS meal plan and not having to schedule our days around our meals. I didn't realize how much of a pain that was, and how much time we wasted in the evening.:thumbsup2

I agree - having to plan a sit down meal every day really feels like it sucks a lot of time out of the day. I like a few sit down meals, but not one or more everyday!

Why did you have to tell me about this?!?!?!

Now I'm totally freaked out because two of our 4 days are pouring rain. DH is still shell shocked from the monsoon last May. aying thousands of dollars to be in a downpour for days and days really hit us hard. I know the 15 day forecast is completely unreliable but I'm worried now. :headache:

I checked too and it looks like 3 days of rain when I am there but there is nothing you can do about the weather. Pack your umbrella and poncho :thumbsup2

My brother and his family just checked in on sunday and apparently they said the online checkin was nuts and no one was in line for regular checkin....their advice to me about online checkin "DON'T DO IT"....that is what they said.
Now I don't know what to do....ahhhh 8 sleeps.

I found online checkin to be great. But like anything, everyone has a different experience. If you haven't tried it, go for it!

What the heck???????????? I'm falling apart! Went to the Dr. on Monday for a sinus infection, he gave me a new antibiotic Cefuroxime and last night I started with Stomach Flu symptoms (if you get my drift - coming and going). Ugh!!! So now I don't know if it is a stomach virus or side effects from the medicine! All I know is I have 6 days to get this worked out of my body!!!! This is supposed to be a trip to get away from all the stress for a few days. Please start sending me good vibes!! :goodvibes

I hope you feel better soon!

:dance3:

Leaving in less than 2 weeks!

Am I there yet????:headache:

Only a week or so to go. I have to find the time to PACK! UGH....

We are going at the same time as you - we have gone before and the crowds were not that bad - they were managable. Definitely not as nice as the first two weeks in Dec, but okay.
Have fun - I know we are making T-shirts and counting down the days! If you see four people running around with matching shirts - that would be us! Have fun!
