Does it matter a whole lot if I'm staying Club Level?

Is anyone doing online checkin at 10 day marker? I have been reading all kind of mixed reviews on it.
I am planning on doing the on-line check in on 2/26...I figure it can't hurt anything...did you do the personalized maps for the parks? I am waiting for them to arrive in the mail. I don't think they'll be a huge help...I have everything so organized I won't "need" them, but think they'll be a cute keepsake.
What kind of negative things did you see about online check in?
You will be relieved to hear Been THERE Done THAT from me. Our last trip was this past July and we brought my 75 year old mother-in-law for her first trip to WDW since January 1972!! They were one of the first families to stay at the Contemporary. She flew in from Texas and met us there, and she brought our 10 year old niece with her. We told her she'd need a scooter, but she insisted that she was doing very well and would be fine walking. So we saved the phone numbers of 3 scooter rental places into DH's cell phone. On the second day, she let us order her a scooter. They brought it right to our resort (SSR). It was expensive. I think we paid like $400 something dollars for the week, but it was worth it. She could not have lasted without it. It was very important to us that she enjoy herself. Some of the things we thought she'd enjoy, she did not. However, she loved Soarin' so much she wanted to go back during extra magic hours for another ride. She also loved Toy Story Mania, and since she was in a scooter, we got to short cut a good portion of the wait time as we couldn't go up the staircase inside. We had to keep in mind that loud places were a problem as she wears a hearing aid. We ate at T-Rex, which, really was hard for her with the noise. Probably not our best choice. Jolly glad that her "happy camper" status could easily be restored with a gin & tonic from Rose & Crown.I'm now having second thoughts. We are bringing my 83 yo mom. This will be her first trip since 1975. WDW is a little different now. She is very excited to go, but won't do anything to help herself. We will be taking a scooter for her, but she doesn't wnat to use it, but she says she can't walk from the parking lot to the resort. Her negativity is starting to get me down, and I'm afraid that this trip will take away the magic for me.
I know I must sound pittiful, I really want Mom to enjoy herself. DH and I decided when we planned this trip that it was all for her, not our trip this time. Maybe we will appreciate our just us trips more after this. We have a pretty busy schedule, 3 TS meals, and 3 parks in 3 days. I think she'll sleep for a week after we get home.
Has anyone ever done this, any hint on how to make the best of all situations? Or just keep happy thoughts for us.
Thanks

I just found out that my DW has planned a, to me, surprise trip in March!!!! I am so totally excited.
let the count down begin!!!!
On another note, the ultrasound on my gall bladder shows stones. (Maybe that's why I have rock hard abs under all the fluff!I have an appointment with the surgeon on Thursday morning. Hoping to have it done on Monday to give me almost 4 weeks to recover.
$400??? That seems awfully steep. We ordered one for my mother and it is about $200 for the week. I think my dad ordered it from Walker Mobility, as recommended on the DISabilities forum.
Ok folks, guess my husband told me wrong. I went and checked my Disney VISA bill and the charge for Buena Vista Scooter Rental for the week was $213.00, not $400!! Whewww... glad we weren't over charged!!Now.. while I was there... I spotted a late fee a few months back that he didn't mention..
By the way, speaking of Visa.... we have a Chase Disney Visa and we get Disney reward dollars that we use toward park tickets of in-park spending. The reward $$ are good in the parks, resorts, Disney Store, Disney.com etc. Its a great deal for the Disney![]()
