*OFFICIAL MARCH 2010 THREAD* - Lets countdown together!

Oh my goodness that is crazy!! We will be the tired but very happy family at Ohanas on 3/4 at 5:25 pm. My DH, DD4, DS6 are so excited to go!!! Did you use Tour Guide Mike to pick which day's you would be visiting the parks? I used PassPorters, I'm hoping it won't be to crowded! Did you make a request for a building at CSR? :goodvibes

No I never have used TGM. We usually do morning EMHs so go by those and by the Spectro and Fantasmic shedule for the evenings. Plus it will be DH, DS(20) and myself going so we do a lot by what we feel like at the moment.
Of course DS will be on his college schedule (late nights) so he might want to go the parks with evening EMHs. We wiill see. I will look for you at O'hanas.

The Drive will take us 21 hours per GPS so I am guessing with stops etc. 26 hours. We only have DS2 and I am sure that is going to make me crazy  Good luck on your drive down dollar store had lots of great project type things.

Has anyone started packing yet?

Thanks! I have went to one dollar store and pick up a few little things. I've printed things off of one site for games and car activity's. I wanted to go over to Micheals because last time I was shopping there they had a ton of one dollar Disney type stuff. Lots to do! The time is flying by. I'm assuming that it will fly by until I've done everything that I need to do. :rotfl: Hopefully your son will be good driving. He should sleep a lot. At least my little kids sleep a lot when we are driving. I hope that holds true for our drive too.

I have started packing... I have a big plastic bin that I've been putting things in. Especially things for the drive down or back. That and snacks that I've already hidden from the kids. I have started packing shorts too. I figure that all of us will be wearing them. Especially coming from 30 degree weather... even 60 is going to make my kids think it's okay to swim. (and it's warmer than that right now and it's the middle of the night...)

I'm so excited... I will be out of the 50s by the end of the weekend! When we first started planning this trip we were at 180s.

I see lots of people are posting their ADR's and stuff so heres ours.. its very similar to lots of others!

I just yesterday started putting things aside and I will starting buying some stuff next week. We are going to do some shopping when we get down there. I always find better deals on shorts and t shirts.

I decided not to go crazy personalizing anything this time we are just going to go with the flow so I hope I don't regret it.

Is March really that close??? It's 26 degrees out today and I can't wait until March 18th!!! We start our journey in Aurora, Illinois and drive, drive, drive down to Orlando, getting there on the 19th for an 8 night stay at AKL-Villas-Kidani-Savanna. A dream trip!!! I'm so excited!

It is getting closer, I think I will start packing some things this week to figure out what I can fit in our luggage. I am happy to hear that others are too! I bought us some new samsonite spinner type, I got 2 at Marshalls and 1 at TJMaxx, you can't beat their prices on this luggage. I also got the girls some Disney rolling luggage off of Disneystore.com. They love them! My DD4 packed hers with toys and put it in her closet. She said she is all packed now so she doesn't have to do it on Disney Day, too cute.

I also bought a new swimsuit online but it is on backorder til Feb 4! I was surprised since I have snow out my window and I don't think about swimming til June. But, it isn't snowy everywhere, lol! I never bought one online but I never have much luck in the stores so I am giving it a try. I hope it works out!

This week we will pay off our trip! I also need to put my Garden Grocer order together.

I am not sure what I will do after the trip considering how much time I spend planning this trip! It is fun having this trip to look forward to and all the planning that goes with it!

Just looked at the schedule and NOTHING will be open still so I will be sitting in the Hot tub while that show is on!

We drive down from NJ and what I did the first year was get the kids messanger bags from Disney with their names embroidered on them. They ahve tons of pockets and tons of places for them to put their stuff. Then I filled them with stuff I found cheap all year long. My kids like the suprizeink books that I got cheap at Kohls. I also got movies and would not let them watch them before we left. 1 movie is about 90 minutes of quiet. LOL This year I did a lot of printable stuff that they LOVED!! The license plate game and a scavengar hunt were their favs. If you have a Five Below store check them out too. I was able to get scavengar hunt books, word find, cross word puzzles, hand held games, and even cool snacks for less then $5 a piece. Have fun on your drive we love doing it every year!

I can't wait! The Tuesday we will be at AK while at Disney, it closes early and I plan to be in our room and0 watching LOST. I am assuming the TV's in the rooms carry ABC. Is it going to be on at 9 pm againl?

Also, anyone know when they will start showing episodes from last year prior to the new season?

I'll be there March 26th-March 30th! Bought the plane tickets two days ago! Whoo!

I'm surprising my little brother (Age 11) with the trip (picking him up from school and heading straight to the airport) for just the two of us. I've been planning since September/October '09 and have managed to keep it under wraps so far. I can't wait to see his reaction to the trip!

I go to Disney a few times a year so whenever I'm talking about it, he always says he wants to go with me again (We had a family trip in Dec. 2008). SURPRISE! :wizard:

March 26th - Check in at All-Star Movies and spending some time at Downtown Disney
March 27th - Hollywood Studios, lunch at Hollywood Brown Derby
March 28th - 'Ohana breakfast, then Epcot/Animal Kingdom
March 29th - Magic Kingdom, lunch at The Crystal Palace
March 30th - Back home!

I don't know how much time he'll want to spend at Epcot we may go to Animal Kingdom that day and then spend a little time at Epcot that afternoon/evening or something. I'm going to leave it up to him because I know he definitely wants to do all the mountains around the World.

Pooh'sfan1-

We know people that drive straight through from Illinois, we at least stop for the night! We are fortunate enough to spring break at Disney every year, and the only way we'd be able to go is if we drive!!!:goodvibes

Yes, 9pm. There's a recap episode at 8pm on 2/2, and they are showing both parts of The Incident on 1/26
