*OFFICIAL MARCH 2010 THREAD* - Lets countdown together!

I am very excited to get our mickey mail the other day. It is a little over a month away.

I am going to assume the 4 rectangular pieces with a castle on the front is the keepsake luggage tags. Does anyone use these on their luggage in addition to the yellow tags?

The luggage tags actually change occasionally. We have Tinkerbell ones and castle ones from past trips. We have always put the Disney luggage tags as well as the yellow ME tags on our luggage. I have so many of the Disney luggage tags that I now put them on handbags and backpacks. Don't forget to put one on your stroller if you travel with one. Also... just for quick identification, for the last 20+ years I've had identical strips of tartan wool tied on all my luggage, carry-ons and purses. Anything that is ours. It makes it easy to keep luggage together at the gate and at airline check-in at the resort. I've used these tags for all ours trips from Hawaii to Alaska to Orlando. :cheer2: its next month!!

We have a ton of them too! LOL! I have them on all of our bags. The stroller is a great idea!! I'll do that before we leave!! Thanks!

Woke up to 18in of snow with 10 more on the way. I so want to tap my heels together and be in WDW today instead of next month. This is nuts. Plus another 8-10 on tuesday into wed. So not feeling all this snow.

We finally booked our resort for 3/20-3/26. POFQ! First time onsite for me since I was a little tyke..CANT WAIT!

WOW! And here I was getting upset over a few flurries. Have a SB party so don't need any snow. Here's sending you pixie dust to put you in a better place if only in your mind. pixiedust:

Snow:As I said before I am in Northern NJ up almost to PA... and we got absolutely NOTHING!:confused3: How can we get NOTHING? My kids woke up ready to go sledding in a winter wonderland and there is nothing but an old crust of ice on the ground with a slight sprinkle of snow. WTH.

I have yet to secure a dog sitter for my dogs. I haven't gotten Mickey Mail either, but I am expecting it in the next couple weeks. I've looked over my itinerary 3 times so far and I can't figure out, even with a park hopper upgrade, how to get over to Epcot the day David Cassidy is there. We have plans to watch the fireworks in MK that night after a dinner at Crystal Palace..I may try to flip flop my DAY 1 MK adventure and my DAY 2 Epcot adventure completely, ADRs and all... can't imagine it will be smooth.... Ah for the love of cheesy 70's pop stars of my youth!

Just booked a sudden trip for 3/11-3/23 at SSR, originally we were going to F&W in October staying at our home resort of BWV but DH just got notified he is going to Afghanistan for 16 mos., he is in the Navy Reserve. When I asked him about spending some time together before he goes his request was to go to our "Happy Place". The only DVC resort I could get in a studio was SSR. So we will be there in 33 days!!!! I actually got the majority of the ADRs I wanted,of course it took a lot of searching thru those days to find them but I got them!!!!
Now we can't wait to spend some quality time at the most magical place for us. Our kids are grown so it will just be the two of us.

I know this has been an odd winter. My best friend lives up in North jersey not far from PA as well and we have gotten more snow then her. She normally always has a ton of snow but this year not much. We live about 8 miles from the ocean so we normally never see snow. Our paper said that our yearly average for the last 30 years has been 13in we got 20in in the last 24 hours and we are looking at another 6-10 before tonight is over. So not a typical winter for us.

We have at least 10" of snow here in Ohio as well... makes me even more anxious for sunny Orlando- Disney World weather!! :cool2:

Thank you for your husband's service. My son-in-law is in the army deployed to Iraq right now. My daughter can't wait for his return so they can go on their postponed Disneymoon. My home resort is SSR. We LOVE it. I've only stayed in property at ASMu, Pop, OKW and SSR but we think SSR is wonderful. We love the convenient location to DTD. We've always had good luck with buses. Its only a long bus trip to MK, but that's ok. We always request the Grandstand area. The "quiet" pool there has a really nice pool bar and children's water play area (but still quiet). I have a 7 year old, so this quieter pool meets our needs better than the feature pool. We always have a lovely view too. The Grandstand also gets the buses first, so you board them empty. Its also a short walk to the main hospitality area.

We have at least 30 inches.... it just now stopped snowing. Its up to the top horizontal cross support on my 48" white picket fence... so that's got to be at least 30 if not 34-36"!! :scared1: a record breaker. We just got power back at 3:00pm.:woohoo: back on the DIS.:dance3:

WOW! 30 inches. I do not envy you. So glad your power is back on. You at least need DIS if you can't have WDW. :goodvibes The flurries here this morning didn't even stick. Superbowl party is ON!

All my March buddies with snow...stay warm!!!!

I cannot wait to be at WDW in 4 weeks! We got 18 inches of snow last night. I am in need of warm weather and time with my family.

Mickey Mail question... yes again ... I got our Magical express stuff yesterday, as did my parents who are traveling with us. But today my parents got other stuff in the mail.. I beleive its the luggage tags and other stuff, planet hollywood voucher, spa vouchers.. all that stuff. Does everyone get that? Should I be expecting more Mickey Mail?

If you have separate packages you will both get your own set of vouchers and luggage tags. It is one set per party

23 inches here in Washington DC! And 25 days until our vacation. Can't wait until that first lapu lapu!

We are not doing ME, so we just got the luggage tags, voucher for the game room (100 play points, whatever that comes up to ?:confused3) Voucher for Planet hollywood, free souviner?, and 15.00 towards a meal. And, discount for spa, fishing, and miniture golf. :thumbsup2
And, it gave our itinerary for our reservations !!! :wizard:
It's just exciting to get stuff from Disney ! :cloud9:

Are you downtown? We're out in Loudoun and we have about 30 inches. too much. What is lapu? Sounds intriguing.

Those vouchers sound like what we got when we had a AAA vacation package. We will however, still get a DVC discount, AAA show your card and save discounts (Earl of Sandwich only takes AAA) and Annual Pass discount. When we had the AAA package, we found it a challenge squeeze in using the Planet Hollywood voucher since we were on the dining plan. We ended up using it for a late dinner on our arrival night. We ended up buying food at the Pop food court to use up some of our snack credits. popcorn::

On Snow: I'm in mid-Michigan and we had some flurries but no accumulation, so I guess we're lucky *knock on wood* Just a little over a month until I get away from the cold!

I got my ME stuff a couple weeks ago and then I got the luggage tags and all that...and today I got the luggage tags and vouchers again...maybe its because we recently added the dining plan and changed our reservations, though.

No snow in MS but it's cold mid 30s. I got our ME package and tags yesterday.:cool1: That just made it feel so real!!! I'm getting super excited.:dance3: Hoping to get our luggage tags and other info in the mail soon. Only 35 more day. Doing the HAPPY dance and starting to make my packing list.
