***Official June 2022 Thread***

We've got June 13-19 booked at CBR (June 11-13 at UO, getting that out of the way before WDW). This trip was originally planned for June 2020, then rebooked for June 2021, and we decided that this year we're going for sure unless Florida suddenly has a zombie outbreak! :P Our group is myself, DS (14), and our close friends - a couple and their 16 yr old DD. We leave my DH home on all our Disney trips because he hates them. He's done WDW with me once when we were first married, and did DLR with us when DS was 5 and Cars Land had just opened, but he was miserable both times so we promised him he never had to come with us again! :rotfl:
This will be my first trip back to WDW since May 2005, and everyone else in the group will be WDW newbies. We have been doing DLR trips together for the last 13 years, and are super comfortable traveling together and know each others' "Disney style", so I think we'll have a lot of fun visiting Orlando.

Hello and Welcome! I have your dates added. 🙂

So I realized we are getting pretty close to our reservation day, and have started hammering out what we want to do. With less than three months to go, It's finally time to get planning! Ugh it's been such a long wait. Anyone else ready to finally start actually making some solid plans?

I got my tickets yesterday and linked them :) I just tried making reservations, but keep getting olaf. I'll try again in a bit.

Our plans are done, I'm just waiting for our adr day. This year will be a little annoying since i have to jump on for each day, but the savings is worth it. I'm laughing at myself as i type because it's just 2 days, and it's not like it's the whole week.

We're going to do Oga's and 50s on our HS day, and Ohana for breakfast on our last day before MK.

We just added an extra "day" to our hotel stay - we're now leaving on Tuesday the 21st of June. I say "day" because we probably won't have any park time that day (most of the flights we're looking at get us in at like midnight unless we find an amazing deal in the next week before we buy airfare) but it gives us a bed for the night and an early start Wednesday.

And now that we have our dates settled, the food discussion has started! This is (probably) our last hurrah as AP holders for a while so we're thinking of doing a fancier meal one night to go out with a bang. We're also big breakfast/brunch fans so we're trying to figure out where we want to go for that.

I have updated your dates @coloredimage 🙂

Food reservations are always hard for me. I know we want to try to get Prime time, Space 220, and Flying Fish, but I'm struggling with the rest. There are just so many options to choose from. I always try to mix old favorites with new restaurants (or places we haven't been to in a long time). But it has to coordinate with park vicinity and dates. Now with park reservations, things are more permanent than they were on previous trips. (can't go to MK instead of HS because a BoG ressie opened for lunch last minute.) LOL I overthink EVERYTHING! FOMO and Anxiety are a killer combination. 🙃

I felt this in my SOUL. We are only trying for 2 ADR this trip, and going to try more mobile ordering QS. With using G+ and it’s unpredictability, I don’t want one more thing to work around! Plus Flower and Garden booths, and we actually really like the food at the POFQ food court, too.
I just want park hours to appear. There have been some random surprises recently and wonder what’s going to happen there. And then the ADRs… so much to worry about and so much time to worry 😂

Has anyone got a guess when extended evening hours will be in June for resort guests ? Amd what normal hours may look like? Thinking about park res as we are officially 90 days out .. (sad it’s not dining res day lol )

The extended evening hours are up through June 1. All of May is Monday Epcot, Wednesday MK. And the park hours for May, right this minute, are fairly standard. I would guess those would be a good guide. However, it seems that they extended later, if the predicted crowds warrant, so definitely keep an eye out.

Just booked June 16-20, Beach Club club level, covers both DW and my Birthdays and Fathers Day. DS just moved back to Orlando so get to see him….

let the countdown begin….

I'm guessing Monday and Wednesday will be the EEH days on most weeks. At least that seems to be the trend. We won't know for sure until hours are posted for June though....Getting close.
I'm also aching for ressie day to get here. I love seeing booked experiences stacking in MDE. LOL Super excited right now because I saw a rumor that BBB was hiring staff. Fingers crossed it will be open when we go!

so you think if Epcot has extended Mondays, Tuesday would be a good day?
and same for magic kingdom the next morning ? As a lot of guests would go the previous day ?

My husband and I just booked at CSR for 6/11-6/18. It feels a bit weird going without the kids, but we are excited for a couples trip. We plan to do a more laid back trip this time since it’s just us - chill at the pool, visit all of the resorts, eat some food, visit DS. We are doing 3 park days - AK, HS, and still deciding between MK or EP. We don’t ride many rides, but we love to just walk around and take in the sights and sounds. My husband is a huge Star Wars fan, so he is stoked to see Galaxy’s Edge. I’m hoping to get a res for Oga’s for him. Ohhh, and Boma for breakfast…it’s my absolute must do!

Hello and Welcome! I have your dates added. 🙂

Ya know, there are so many things that my husband and I don't do on our trips because the girls are so desperate to get to the next ride. A trip where we could stroll the resorts, take our time eating, and see all the shows sounds like a dream. (a distant one since our youngest is only six...but still) I bet you'll have an amazing time.

LOL, I feel you on the running around part as that’s what we usually do since it’s always been family trips. Our kids are almost 19 and 25 but they still run around like 6 year olds!! I was worried about telling them we are going without them because they love it as much as we do, but they are actually excited for us. I think it helps that we’re looking at planning a family trip in November or December next year for Christmas again.

Now that it’s official, I need to sit down and plan out a few ADRs for us. I don’t think we’ll buy G+ since it’s just us, but I may try to get a couple of the paid LL for ROTR and 7DMT (if we do MK). I think I read you can buy those without G+?? But I may break down and get G+ so I can practice with it so I’ll know how to work it when we do the family trip. 🤔

Yes, individual LL+ attractions do not require purchasing G+ to buy them.

I celebrated my 50th birthday at DLR on a "moms only" trip, and it was so much fun without our kids! We love our families, and my DS is my favorite travel buddy, but it was a very different trip with just the two moms. It was really relaxing, and nice to not have a big group to negotiate with over every detail. Definitely a different kind of Disney trip!

Just starting really getting to nuts and bolts for our June 2022 trip. This trip is very different than all my past trips of immediate family only. I'm planning for 12 of us - mom & dad and brothers and their families and then my family. Very nervous. LOVE planning the Disney vacations but the lack of ability to know what we are doing until the day of is throwing me for a loop - especially since at least half of the group has never been to Disney.

Details - June 10 to June 17. Staying at Port Orleans French Quarter

Looking forward to getting excited with this group!

Wow, that’s a LOT to take on! Are you managing everyone’s plans?

Anyone else ready to finally start actually making some solid plans?
Im so ready. We’ve written out our wants, have the date circled on the calendar and hoping to get all the reservations we want in the first pass. Like a PP said, it’s annoying to have the park reservations and then not be able to just shift things around (although I might if I can’t get sci-fi on my planned date).
I just looked up my plane tickets because I bought them VERY early this time around. And my jaw about hit the floor when I saw that the flights we have booked would cost us $7,000 if I bought them today.

I had each family get their own MDE account and then friend me. But ultimately, yes, I'll be in charge of all the plans. Looks like we are mostly staying together. But I will need to make some "alternates" - like taking the littles to the Boneyard while some of the more daring of our group go to Dinosaur. Things like that. Not everyone is staying all week though.

So far, the most daunting of the planning is trying to figure out how to get 12 people from a Disney resort to Universal for the day in a smart and economical way. Looks like right now, I'm planning that we will just get 4 rideshares.

And I was fussing about having to accommodate two daughters! LOL Welcome to the group! I have your dates added. 🙂

Wow! That is expensive! My husband is one of those that thinks if a trip can be driven in 12hrs we don't fly. It works out well with someplace like Disney as gas will run us about 500 round trip, and the money saved can be spent elsewhere....man that first day is exhausting though. I am so ready to see some reservations in my itinerary that it kinda hurts a bit. We have been planing this return trip since 2020, and officially had it reserved since April 2021. So much waiting! But I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. Just 22 more days till we can make meal/experience reservations.
