Every year our stay gets a little bit longer . This year we will not be using park hoppers

Grabbed our flights to MCO Thursday when SW opened their calendar...coming home ones can wait until I build up some more pts...or maybe we just won't leave!

LOL at not leaving, I would take that option too! That's a total bummer you have to get up at such an awful hour on Christmas to do your ADRs. My window opens one month from now, I guess I better figure out which ones we want to do!

Now if I could just decide on a resort to book for the first part of my split...I think I've narrowed it down to POFQ or AKL. If I go with AKL I'll need to cut off one day though to keep it in the budget (from 13 nights down to 12). DH would love to cut off a night, but not me - I can never get enough! We're doing a 3 resort split, so it's either 4 nights POFQ or 3 AKL, followed by one night GF (we got a free night at any deluxe and let DD8 pick the resort for that night) and 8 nights BC. No idea what to do but I want to get it booked today so I need to decide.

Good luck! Personally I love the Port Orleans resorts. I'll admit that I have not stayed at AKL though I have eaten there a few times. We personally feel it is far out, though I am sure that is relative, but I would still like to try it one day.

Lol! I ended up booking the 4 nights POFQ. Depending on the AP discounts for June, I may end up switching if it's a good deal. I did get about 20% off at POFQ through my TA so that's better than what's typically offered by Disney (if at all).

AKL doesn't really feel too far out to me, but very peaceful and quiet. It's not my favorite resort, but overall we really enjoyed it and it's a good price for a deluxe (if standard view). I definitely recommend trying it at least once!

I've never stayed at either PO resort, but we drove out last trip to check out POFQ and it looks really nice!

Wow getting a few people at CBR at the same time, so fun! ADR day is coming up soon isn't it? The only real pressing things are 'Ohana dinner and BoG lunch. Everything else we can probably wait and see how fastpasses go. But I know a lot of people like to get all their ADRs out of the way as soon as possible, maybe they don't change their mind as much as I do

I know this is all up to Disney and we can only speculate, but do you guys think it's likely that we'll see PM EMH for 11pm-1am, like last year? I've never been to WDW in the Summer and don't really know what to expect.

I'm very hopeful for it, at least on Wednesday nights. Even with the Pandora EMH they did some late nights at least once per week at MK. But who knows, maybe they'll decide to do that at HS and AK instead of MK.

Has anybody done the Star Wars dessert party at HS? We've done the MK dessert party and I think my daughter would love this as she is a Star Wars fan.

I have!!! It's fun but a bit wonky since there's really no place to sit. The food is good, especially the nitrogen Nutella truffles, and I believe they've now added beer and wine to the alcohol offerings. Stormtroopers circulate through the room throughout, and you get a gift as you're leaving to be escorted to the viewing area. When we were there, the gift was HUGE tie fighter popcorn buckets, but my understanding is a new gift is about to be rolled out.
