*****Official (??) June 2014 Thread -- Party Like It's Hot!*****

Welcome! That's is great that you are doing this with your parents!!!! Where are you staying?

We will be staying at Pop century. We planned to spend the majority of the time out and out so opted for a value resort. We've got 4 days of hopper tickets and and the dining plan, so I know that will keep us busy. The day we check in we will have dinner at trails end and catch the electrical water pageant.

That's where my son and I are staying too. He is 7 and loves it so I always opt for Value. We are doing Cinderella's Royal Table for lunch/ dinner out first day!! I also got Seven dwarfs Mine Train for our first day!!! 23 days and counting!

Paid off the trip yesterday.... and we are at the 45 day mark today.

I can finally see sparks of excitement in my DH. When that happens, I know the trip is getting close! :cool1:

They're really not as bad as everyone thinks. For every 1 that is disrespectful and doesn't care, there are 25 others that are amazing and give you hope for the future. :) I commend the teachers of little ones, or even worse, middle schoolers! That I couldn't do. I'd go crazy! Besides that, my teenagers allow me go to Disney every year because I'm in charge of the senior Disney trip. (Go figure.) that trip makes every headache worth it. 3 free days in Orlando at WDW and Universal, ALL expenses paid...yes please!

Just want to make sure everyone's put their info in on the google docs. I'd love it if some of my ADRs or resort info matched up with a DIS friend! Right now, doesn't look like it but I'm not sure everyone's posted.

Hello all! I wanted to post this as a completely new thread but either I dont know how or I am still too new and dont have the right numbers yet. Anyways, as I have already mentioned, I am 29 and taking my parents (53 & 51) for their first ever Disney trip. It's my 4th trip but first time to stay on property and not be following a schedule of a school chaperoned event.

I am going to list my plans and would GREATLY appreciate suggestions, ideas, comments, etc. We will be staying at Pop, have 4 day park hopper passes and the Dining Plan with 1 QS, 1 TS and 1 Snack.

Day 1: Check in to Pop, Dinner at Trails End (7:15), watch Water Pageant
Day 2: MK FP+ for Space, Seven Dwarfs & Peter Pan, Dinner reservations at Liberty Tree
Day 3: Epcot FP+ for Spaceship Earth, Nemo & Soarin, Dinner reservations at Biergarten
Day 4: AK FP+ for Safari, Everest, Dinosaur, no dinner reservations
Day 5: Late day at Hollywood (get there around Lunch) FP+ for Movie ride, ToT and Fantasmic, Dinner reservations for Hollywood & Vine
Day 6: Check out of resort begin travel home

I think your plans look great. :thumbsup2 You have picked some of my favorite places to eat at Disney. My only question is why do you have park hoppers if you aren't planning to park hop? ;)

Why not go over to AK Lodge and try Boma for dinner? It's a really unique buffet. Sometimes we do that - leave AK around 4, dinner at Boma and then you can hop to MK to see fireworks or go to whichever park has late hours, or better yet, go to your resort and lounge by the pool. Oh, walking around AK Lodge is fun too - see the animals, visit the shop. Sounds like a great trip you have planned!

Hello everyone ---

I have not been a loyal reader of this thread, but I'm back, reading some recent posts and getting ready to go!

MICKEY BANDS just arrived today! How cool is that.

I've started exercise walking after work to get up to park endurance levels.
Should have started this exercise program in February! :rotfl:

Questions: this BOG lunch invite….is this going out to all resort guests? Is it in addition to the intial 3 FP+ we get to plan? What if I reserve for three and only two show up (I have a hard time controlling DH) ? If I have a dinner BOG already do you think it's worth going at lunch too (We have the time)? I think I have read that the lunch menu is different than the dinner foods? Of course it would be fun to go just to see the inside of the castle twice. Let me know what you think….
