*****Official (??) June 2014 Thread -- Party Like It's Hot!*****

WDWthemeparks has a list of all the rumors and releases. Seems they started the auditions this month so we could be any time. I sure hope so! DH really enjoyed it and wants to see DS3's reaction to the giant Simba.

My must do is the Nemo musical.

I'll be sad if I miss FOTLK, but I know it will be there the next time we go (or I would hope so....). I agree that Nemo is a must see. We saw it for the first time last time we went, and I was so mesmerized!

Here are two things we found on Amazon that will help us stave off the Florida heat in June. I think this combo will be better than buying cases of bottled water and carrying multiple bottles into the park each day.

Looks promising.

We ordered misting spray fans. Going to make lanyards for them.

This is a little off topic, but I just realized that reservations I naked at Disneyland are listed on the My Disney Experience app too!
(I made a character breakfast and birthday dinner reservation.) :-)

We use Bobbles. They work great. The filter totally takes out the sulfur taste of the water! I realize everyone has different suggestions. I just thought I would put that out there. :)

This happened to my TA this past October - she booked us two character meals at DL and it showed up on MDe - she thought it was so weird. It did not show up on MY MDE, but on hers!

You can also get large cups of ice water for free at any QS/CS location.

This gives me hope for a unified one-stop Disney app...
Especially now that my wife us starting to talk about an Asian Disney vacation a couple of years from now. She is talking about Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Tokyo.

Yes! I'm so glad they do this because I don't want to carry around water in the park. I was a little hesitant to ask at first, but they gave me a cup of ice water without any question at every location where I requested one.

I am also glad they do this. When my DD16 became ill in 2010, we went to the First Aid Center. They gave her several Dasani along with some tylenol and antacid when she was sent to the cot to lie down. They also handed bottles to the rest of us.

Better to drink CS water and not get sick!

Yes, however, I've heard from friends who've been, Florida water is horrible. The drinking fountains around the parks are not, or don't taste as if they are, filtered. Is the water in the QS/CS filter?

Not usually. Some places are better than others. It depends on where you go. It's a gamble every time.

It is the filtered water from the soda machine. We bring flavor drops for taste. I am picky and drink bottled water in my house and I don't mind the free ice water.

I bought a Camelbak filtered waterbottle last summer and took it to DLR as a test drive for WDW. Wasn't sure how hard it would be to drink through a filtered straw but it was fine. So we are going to get one more so we each have one and bring them to WDW. Hopefully there will be no trouble bringing them through security on the plane empty. I'd also like to use them to fill up after we get through.

I'd love to see the Tokyo parks! Before we confirmed our WDW plans, I took a look at Tokyo. I figured, it's our 25th anniversary, maybe we could do something really different! Then I looked at the prices of hotels and airlines and realized that was way more expensive than flying cross country to WDW. It was good we decided against it because several months later I suddenly developed a fish allergy out of the blue and I'm thinking Japan may not be the best country for me to visit. :(

The water fountains are horrible. But the ice water from QS places is filtered through the soda machine as a pp stated. It is fine. Cold....wet.....that's really all you care about in the summer FL heat. You are drinking it for convenience and to keep you alive.... Not for taste. I just hate to carry water bottles or anything extra in the parks when it is that hot and busy. My first summer trip I bought all that (collapsible bottles, filters, Frogg Togg cool pads, everything), now after 3 summer trips I only use a small fan and the free ice water. Oh and ponchos.....lots and lots of ponchos ;)

For those of you picky about water, if you are making coffee in your room, it is worth filling up the pot with water from the drinks dispenser. I've made the mistake of pouring it in the room .... a mistake I only had to make once!

My daughter is apparently less fussy than I am. She happily drinks from the water fountains and has no issues with it.

I can't stand water fountain water, either! We usually bring water bottles into the parks and I serve as the pack mule. For those of you who bring reusable bottles and filters, do you have any issues with the bottles staying constantly moist and getting moldy?
