How is everybody doing on their ADR selections? The 180 days will be here soon and I hope I'm ready. I didn't want to have to be somewhere every single day, but I'm realizing that you just can't walk up to a TS and get a seat. I find that frustrating because I don't want to book everyday. But there are so many places I want to try, it is getting harder not to.

So, that's what I'm working now. Trying to narrow down the best places to try and, of course, everybody has a different opinion of which ones are the best places. ;) Throw in my newly acquired fish allergy and suddenly the planning just got a whole lot harder. Although, I can now cross several places off my list.

Yup its coming up before we know it. I think in December we will be able to make ADRs. Hoping for BOG dinner and Tusker house brunch. We may do 1 other table service and ill let my sister choose. She doesn't know about disney so I may have to sit down with her and help her. We aren't on the dining plan so those are prob the only TS restaurants we will end up doing. Can't wait to find out the park hours.

I've been playing around with the dining calculator spreadsheet and trying to figure out what days we'll do what, etc. I loved doing the character breakfasts but we're changing it up a little bit this time, including a few dinners too. We're still not sure if we're driving or flying and that might affect some of the choices as well. Got some input from our traveling companions last night, so that's helping to narrow it down.

Standards are Chef Mickey's and Ohana. We love those. Going to try for Tusker House and CRT again as well. We may do Crystal Palace again, but that will depend on how many RDs we can get to at MK. If we're driving that might not happen since we'll arrive after park open (most likely.) Garden Grill, Cape May and a restaurant TBD in World Showcase are some things we haven't tried.

Going to hit up some new CS restaurants too. We're not limited by the dining plan this time so our options are a bit more open. Also going to try for the Spirit of Aloha show as a first.

Waiting on Disney to release hours (not that it helps much since they change them all the time) and for Josh's recommendations (although it seems that there have been some times where he's been way off too) and to see how things go with the My Magic+ rollout and touring in the spring. Hoping I can still change some things around after the dates and recommendations get finalized but we all know how that goes.

I am just trying to maintain my sanity!!! There are so many we want to do its really hard to narrow it down! I kinda feel like I am going to Disney to eat!! Haha

We like to do Ohana on our arrival day. If we plan the time right, we get to see Wishes at MK so it is a good way to get some Disney magic without using a day of park tickets. We are hoping to get a BoG. The only other definite is Donald' Breakfast at AK.

We still don't have our choice of lodging or length of stay settled, though we plan to arrive around 13 Jun give or take a day. Hoping to get more settled before the end of this month so I can start on my color-coded spreadsheet. :woohoo:

Right now these are what I'm thinking of:
Via Napoli-TS
San Angel Inn-TS
Flame Tree BBQ-CS
50's Prime Time-TS
Sci-Fi Dine In-TS
Cosmic Ray's-CS
Be Our Guest lunch-CS
The Plaza-TS
Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn-CS
Sleepy Hallow- CS
Kona breakfast- Poly-TS
Hoop Dee Doo Revue- Fort Wilderness Lodge-TS Show
Boma Breakfast- Animal Kingdom Lodge-TS Buffet

We have 10 day park hoppers so we can do two days in each park and then pick our favorites. We are there for 13 nights so we also have several "off" days maybe to do resorts or water park. We are not on the dining plan because it doesn't fit the way we eat. Sometimes we just have an ice cream cone and call it lunch. And we never order dessert with our meals. Sometimes we share meals.

I haven't done a lot of planning as far as ADRs - I know we will want Le Cellier - that is a must do for my family. We will probably also do Kona Cafe for breakfast and I want to try BOG - probably for dinner if I can get it. Other than that - not sure yet. Usually I let everyone on the family pick one meal and then we do a few more depending on how long we are staying (10 nights this trip). We will probably do at least 6 ts meals.

Just booked our trip for may 30-june 10 staying at Port Orleans riverside! So excited. My parents brother sister and my fiance. This is going to be awesome

:welcome to DVC_Jen, disneyjunkie, kalee45, Loftin716, katdunn, jrezlaff22, wreckitfan, & anjalee6!

Congrats to Belleoftheball for getting booked!

Thank you to DVC_Jen for PM'ing me with trip changes I may not have seen in the list! Everyone should take a moment and check their info in the first post and make sure you're in the right place! (And, if I've either not updated you or missed you somehow, please PM me and let me know!

I apologize for my MIA status this month. Everything is in full swing. School, football games, parent and report card nights, plus DD is in 6 dance classes (twice a week, I'm guaranteed not to get in before 8 or 830), Girl Scouts...it's just a lot!

I saw some things that I want to comment on, so I'll try to break it up into a couple of posts instead of all in one.

Can we talk about the nuts and bolts of going in June? Now that I know where we are staying (POFQ)

1) I'm concentrating on where to eat. Do we need to know all this by December? I'm wondering how long I have to figure this out. And it seems that would mean we have to have an idea of what park we are doing on which day and when we are seeing shows. We are getting park hoppers, but still need a general idea.
Right now these are what I'm thinking of:

2) How do you deal with the heat and humidity? Any tips? I can handle hot, it gets hot here and at DLR. It is the humidity that just makes it worse. Anything we should bring or do to help? I want to know that we aren't crazy going in June and we will have fun. ;)

We try to have everything hammered out by our 180+10 date for our TS reservations. It can really be tough, though -- especially figuring out what days you want to do what! Looking at what you have on your list, you can probably get away with not doing right at the 180 day mark. I'd probably get HDDR, Via Napoli, and Kona quickest, but if you've got it narrowed down by your 180, I'd just go ahead and make the reservations. Some of them, you should be able to change. Some of those, you may even be able to walk in to. As a note, we're doing the QS dining plan this trip, paying for a handful of TS OOP. Right now, we're planning on CG, KC (breakfast), and the Garden View Tea Room. We might consider adding TH to the line up, but we aren't sure yet.

We are not go back to the resort people. It takes enough time for travel that, if we go back to the room, someone isn't feeling well. There are places in each park where you can get 20+ minutes in an air conditioned environment, so we've never found it necessary. YMMV.

Remember to note your allergies. I can't remember right now if you can do that when you book your ADRs online, but you can mention them when you book online and definitely when you get in the restaurant! I would spend some time cruising the menus on wdwinfo.com or allears.net and see what kinds of places are just must-dos. Besides, whatever you DON'T get to this trip gives you another excuse for the next trip, right?

Are you on the DDP? What restaurants are you interested in?
