FYI, I just checked FP+ to see if FOTK was showing and it's not. Really hoping it'll open while we're there.

woohoo getting closer, 17 days away! Magic bands arrived yesterday. I am taking my 5 year old daughter who has no clue about the trip yet. I decided to make it a surprise and tell her the day before(it is driving me nuts, I just want to tell her about it already lol).

We finally get to tell our son at his birthday party this Saturday! His birthday isn't until the 19th but we'll be in Disney then. He doesn't do well with spontaneous changes so we thought that a two week window was a good amount of time for him to get prepared. I'm hoping it all goes well. At some point during the party someone will knock on the door, I'll take my son to the door to welcome another guest but instead there will be a GIANT box on our doorstep that says "To: Brody From: Mickey." Once he opens the gift, balloons will fly out and lift up a sign that says "It's finally your turn..." on one side and then "We're going to Disney World in 14 days!" on the other. He always asks when we can go and I tell him that we have to wait our turn. I'm hoping it'll be perfect! He's a pretty reserved little boy though so I'm not expecting screaming and cheering. We've asked all of the guests to give him Disney gift cards or cash so that he can buy his own birthday presents while we are down there. I'm so excited I can barely stand it!!!

I think we'll be there at the same time! This is my 5 year old daughter's 2nd trip (first was last August) and I'm surprising her too! Obviously great parents think alike.

We just booked a resort stay for June 24-26! (We live here in Orlando, but we have family traveling down from Michigan for a little Disney stay) We are STOKED! Probably only doing two days at the parks, but we're staying at Disney's All-Star Movies... Yay for great deals!

I could see them having a FP+ seating area sometime, though it's not something I'd use.
I saw the show in '07 & would love to see it again and have my kids see for their first time, but we hadn't planned to go to AK at all on this trip.... I doubt we make it over

9 more sleeps! About to head to bed now, but it's getting so close! We're all getting really excited. We'll be going to the Disney Store tomorrow to get t-shirts and some things for the trip. We are going to see if we can squeeze in a Maleficent viewing- it depends on dh's job and how busy he is (he works from home). Yay!

I'm going through the same dilemma. We only have two-day-hoppers to be able to use early EMH and see Fantasmic between a full day at EPCOT and then a whole day at MK. Now I'm trying to calculate if we can fit in sneaking down to Animal Kingdom so we can see Lion King, too. Maybe if we need a break from the heat and crowds at Magic Kingdom....? It is great news for everyone else!

Is FOTK a show or parade? I had first thought it was a parade but now comments are making me think it must be a show. Lion King was not our favorite movie at all. We don't get why it was so popular. But, it sounds like something we should we should go see.
