Finished my nails to finish my Magic Band! One step closer!

We leave tomorrow!!! I'm so excited!!! I would appreciate prayers for my husband's digestive system. He had his colon removed 2 1/2 years ago and he's worried about how his tummy will do on this trip...especially considering the commando schedule I have planned for us.

We are on the road! We are going to get south of Atlanta and spend the night. Should hit GF tomorrow around 1:00!! Kids have no idea yet ....going to wait til they either figure out we are going south (they think we are going to Mackinac Island in MI) or they ask "are we there yet?"
We have their Magic Bands wrapped in little gift boxes - we are going to give them to unwrap and see how long it takes for them to realize!

Thanks! I put clear Jamberry nail stickers over the polish. They should keep for the whole week! I did a rest run a couple of weeks ago and they worked great!

You'll have to let us all know how the surprise turns out! We are in the road now and just realized that DS5 has reached the "Are we there yet?" phase. I'm ok with that though, it just makes me feel like he's super excited.

Only 4 days to go and last night I had a crazy dream.

I dreamed that DH and I got to WDW and were at one of the parks (I don't know which one). For some reason we still had to pay for tickets and activate our MBs. I get in line and the guy says one minute, and then these teenage boys come up in front of my because they were still doing their transaction. So I left DH to stand there while I looked for another line. I look over and DH has just stood off to the side and let everyone go in front!

So we go to another line that turns out to be going in to the park and no one checks us to see if we have a ticket. So we start to walk back out and somehow I'm holding on to a little girl's balloon string and I turn to see her trying to pull it away. I told her I was sorry. That I had a balloon and it must have flown away. Somehow back out front we still can't seem to get in a ticket line and I'm frustrated that we've spent all morning and still don't have tickets!
Do you think that dream means I'm a little stressed about our trip?

DSis and Squishy's MagicBands are coming along great but I'm still in the designing phase. Every time I think I know what I want, something else comes to mind.
Has anyone gotten one of those emails to test bypassing check in and going straight to their rooms? I saw Pop Century will be one of the test resorts but I'm debating if we would do it or not. I've never done online check-in before and it looks like that's a requirement.

DSis and Squishy's MagicBands are coming along great but I'm still in the designing phase. Every time I think I know what I want, something else comes to mind.
Has anyone gotten one of those emails to test bypassing check in and going straight to their rooms? I saw Pop Century will be one of the test resorts but I'm debating if we would do it or not. I've never done online check-in before and it looks like that's a requirement.

I haven't received an email about online check-in, but I was wondering about it too. Here's how my thought process is going..
1) I've NEVER stayed at a Disney resort before, so I AM a little nervous, so I was thinking of just doing regular check in.

2) THEN I read those lines can be heinous and thought maybe I should do online.

3) THEN i thought how I want to see if we can also get a room key card in addition to our Magic Bands because I want to have a back up JUST IN CASE, so maybe I need to do that at regular check in.

4) THEN I read that requests are more likely to be granted online (I'd like to get a room closest to a smoking area as my mom smokes OR on the top floor for quiet...or both if possible...so maybe I need to do online checkin

5) THEN I read that online would bypass check-in completely and they just email/text the room number....but what if I have questions? requests? room key?

Yes, to say I am stressed about this trip would be an understatement.....

We did online check-in. Basically the only difference was that they had your welcome packet ready when you got there. They still walked you through magic bands, resort amenities, etc & answered any ?s you had.

For those who are there now, how has the weather been? We leave in 4 days and I've been so excited but the weather report right now is stating up to 80% chance of rain for 4 of the days we are there and 40-50% chance the rest of the time. I'm kind of getting disappointed. I have never travelled in June before so I don't know how accurate this report is and if it just means a shower here or there or full on thunderstorms. Any thoughts?

We left Disneyworld this morning to head home. It rained every single day of our vacation except one. It seemed like clockwork around 1 or 2:00 the storms came in. There were 2 days this week that the rain lasted off & on till the evening. It was frustrating at times mainly bc we didn't get much pool time. But for the most part, we just put on ponchos and did inside rides. It was a nice relief from the heat as it cooled off for the rest of the day after the rain. The best parks in the rain seemed to be MK & HS.

Yes, we've noticed the same thing. Hopefully, these will be fast moving showers. Long range indicates a week of more comfortable summer weather.

I keep hoping we get one, but we leave in 4 days and we haven't. We are staying at POFQ. We already checked in online. They only allow you to make a few room requests in the online check in and top floor wasn't one of them. (you check off a box) So I asked our travel agent if she could put that in for us. We'll see.

I got my email a little while ago! The only thing I think I'll miss is the "Welcome Home" when you check in (which you don't always get...but that's the best part sometimes. Of course, sometimes the security guard at the gate gives you that, so.... But I'm excited!

I got one too. We're checking in the 18th at AKV. I received the e-mail 6 days prior to check in. We're landing at 8:50pm so by the time we actually get to the resort it might be nice to just head straight to the room instead of having to stop at the desk. We'll see how it works. HTH someone.
