***Official June, 2012! Hot, hot, hot!!!***

We have been waiting 12 years for Diablo III to come out, and it finally is. WOO HOO!! Well it would be if the servers could actually stay up. I mean come on.....the gaming world has been waiting 12 years for this game to come out. You would have thought they would have been better prepared than this.

Same thing at my house for the two guys I live with (but not me!). This is all they have talked about for weeks!

Just checking my ticker, haven't been on for about 3 weeks and don't know how many days until we go. All I know is it can't be soon enough ------ love WDW. First we have a Branson trip planned and I am trying to get excited about it but seems like that trip is coming together with little to no work.

Well, I just ally don't know how I'm going to deal with them until they get here, I guess.

I really don't know a whole lot about them. It just feels really strange.

Thanks Kathy.

There has just been too much stress this month. It would have been better if my in-laws had not chosen to come when they are and given us more time to prepare. I feel like it's kind is selfish to come when we have so much going on. They do too, so I don't really understand, why they chose now.

DH did get some stuff done today that I thought he wasn't going to do. I told him that if it wasn't done, he would have to be the one to tell his parents they couldn't stay here, guess he didn't want to do that.

I don't cook very often at all, because I am the only one home at night, so there is no use cooking for myself and DH doesn't eat leftovers. I don't know what I will do for them. I don't want to eat out every evening.

I guess I will do a little more planning when they actually get there. I have a doctors appointment one afternoon, so I don't have to take off work another day, that will take about an hour.

We have one day blocked because we may have to go get our ID cards renewed if DH passes the PT test this time, we have to purchase our WDW tickets and do some shopping for the trip while we are on post.

DH has to work 2 nights after he gets back and we have a dance recital, I can't miss, the night we leave for WDW, but probably only my MIL and I will go.

I think we are going to have a Disney video day, we have a 6 DVD set that we watch over and over again.

I can see how that could be awkward. My DH graduated a year after I did in high school. We're the same age, he just graduated a year later. We started dating Easter Day of 1994 and by fall that year I was going to his football games. I would meet his parents at their house, get to the game 3 hours early (only way to get a seat). I remember how awkward that used to feel since I didn't know his family very well. Now that we've been married almost 17 years, I'm just as comfortable with his family as mine.

I'm glad your DH was able to get that stuff done. I'm sure it eased some stress off of you. A Disney video day sounds like a great idea!!! I would do that, but all of mine are in storage and you can't get them on instant Netflix, or at least I don't think you can.

Same thing at my house for the two guys I live with (but not me!). This is all they have talked about for weeks!

All 4 of us have been waiting for this game to come out. DH is taking his nap to be able to stay up late and raid in World of Warcraft, so I get to play Diablo III until almost 11:30 PM. Which with all the stress going around here tonight, killing skeletons will help me keep my sanity.

Suzanne - Glad your husband was able to help some and that you can keep busy with appointments etc. I'm thinking that the time with your in-laws will pass fairly quickly once they sit down and start watching those videos!

I did another "first" yesterday for my trip!

Last night I placed a GardenGrocer order. Even though the minimum for delivery is $40 I managed pretty easily to find and order the following:

---bag of Doritos (snacks at night)
---shortbread cookies (eat at night and take a few in the park for snacks)
---SUNBLOCK (a big bottle) so I don't have to pack one in my luggage
---Pepsi cans (hate Coca Cola)
---some instant oatmeal in bowls ready to add water
---some yogurt
---12 pack of water bottles (24 oz.)

I'm not a big breakfast eater at home but I do love oatmeal and that plus yogurt will get me started each morning. I'm figuring I can get hot water at the Food Court, right?

Now I have to put plastic spoons on my packing list (or get them at the Food Court).

I am still struggling with how to pack my laptop and camera supplies and take them on the plane but I will try a number of different bags I have tonight or this weekend.

Noticed the thread has now passed the 1,000 mark! Yippee! We have liftoff!

That's all for now!

Kathy

Thank you all, for all the support. I know ya'll think I'm crazy and Kathy is probably worried about meeting us now...lol. I'm really very normal, I'm just over stressed right now, I'm not usually like this (who am I kidding :lmao:)

Kathy, I was able to get our breakfast reservation straightened out to show 5adults, I just talked to Yolanda this morning from WDW, it's exciting to have a voicemail message at work from WDW.

It did really help for DH to get that stuff done, especially since one thing was getting some stuff off the bed where his parents are supposed to sleep.

I think I will be fine once they get here. I know his mom wanted to spend some time alone with me (akward), it's just weird and I don't know why I can't shake this feeling that I'm betraying my mom (maybe betraying is not the right word). I feel weird calling her mom, but I feel weird calling her by her first name, I don't know what's appropriate, she doesn't mind either one.

I hope they are up to a Disney video day, that would be fun and it would give us time to just sit at home and relax.

They do have the Disney videos on Netflix, they don't have all of them, but I think they have 3 or 4 of the 6, or they did when we had Netflix (ours is on hold because we weren't watching it).

My hubby and I met while he was Active Duty here at Ft. Benning and he just got out when his contract was up and stayed here with me. He is from Illinois. I met his mom and step dad a few weeks after he and I met, then they came for the wedding and once since. I have only met his dad and step mother once, that was at our wedding.

We will make a shopping trip right before we leave on our trip, possibly the morning before we leave, not sure. I guess all 4 of us will go and pick out what we want, I know we will get a case of water, I have to have my Cherry Coke and some snacks. I've just restocked my toiletry bag and a friend gave me some sunscreen and after sun lotion she didn't want that she got in a gift basket.

While we were in Gulfport, I got a new sleeveless top, I got a new one in the mail a couple of weeks ago I have worn once and a couple of pairs of capris, I have the birthday shirt that I made at the T-shirt place at DTD to wear on my birthday. I know I will be last minute finishing up laundry, because I don't have many non-work outfits, but it will be fine. I plan to do a ton of laundry the 2 weekends I have at home without DH. He has tons of clothes, more than any woman I know.

21 days and counting down.

OMG I HAVE ONE MONTH LEFT!!! I CAN HARDLY STAND IT! I'M READY!!!!

I think i'm gonna have to watch some videos tonight to help ease the addiction until it's time to leave to the world!! I thought about counting down the days till my sister comes to town, but I felt like that would be cheating, haha!! We are all getting so close!! (especially those of you leaving late may/early june):earsboy:

Woo Hoo pixiedust: Time is flying by!

We are now in the rushing to buy the last minute items needed, and I can tell my husband is excited because he's been going thru our "Disney" box at home! I'll be more excited when my Mickey mail comes (yes I am this obsessed about it)...I called them last night and she said it was cut and I SHOULD get it by the end of the week. I can't stand it anymore!

Im just ready for a break from reality, as Im sure all of us can relate to. :badpc:

Hopefully your MM will be here soon. You will love the luggage tags they are very cool.

I'm going out this weekend to get our last minute items. I just keep telling myself soon I'll be in my happy place :cloud9:

We are going in September for free dining but in the meantime, our son got a job at Disney on security. We are doing a last minute trip the first week in June and will stay at Pop. We get free admission (he got free passes after 2 weeks there) and cast member discount room. Our group consists of my husband and I and our 19 year old daughter and her best friend from college. Her friend is a 1st time guest. My son will join the group when he's not working. It's going to be hot, I was there last year at this time and it was brutal. My son says it's not bad now, low humidity. See everyone there!

It's ok. I'm more worried about the people that seem perfectly sane.

That's cool how y'all met. My DH and I met at WDW even though we lived close by. Our high schools played each other in football, and my cousin went to his school.

We need to do some last minute shopping. We need batteries, the DH needs more shorts, we need socks, Sweet 'n Low, and some other things.

In 16 days we leave on vacation and in 19 days we check into the Pop Century. I can't wait to get on the road. I have to email my DH's cousin to see if they'll be home, so we can stop by and see them on the way there.

Yes it is, but I wish it would a little faster. That's cool that he was going through the "Disney" box.

A break from reality would be great!!

My cousin is actually at WDW right now. She said they got to ride Snow White's ride one last time, which totally made me jealous.

We picked the boys up from school early. While waiting for them, I asked what time they were getting out the last two days. I thought the sign said 2 PM, but the website had said 11:30 AM. Yeah they get out at 2 PM. They take their tests during the last part of the day. They did this on purpose so parents can't pick their kids up early. There is the option of them missing the day all together and then coming up another day in the summer to take the tests. I hate getting a later start, but I guess it means that my DH and I can sleep later.

Actually it is pretty dang hot already and because we didn't have a winter, the bugs are horrible. So, I advise everyone to bring lots of bug spray and sunscreen.

Dang it.....bug spray.....didn't think of that. Thanks

Ok, super odd question, but I truly have no clue. Can you put both sunblock and bug spray on and them both stay active?

So excited :) On a last moment idea after I got my disney rewards email about visa discounts I decided to surprise my husband with an Exotic Driving Experience. I figured it was the best I was ever going to do for Father's Days-from here on out it'll probably be ties :P . I was too excited about it to keep it a secret so I told him...I can only keep so many secrets and the trip in itself is hard enough lol.

A co-worker told me that her therapist told her that everyone is crazy, I guess some of us are more willing to admit it...lol:rotfl2:

That's too cool that your son works there!! Maybe I'll make mine do that when they are old enough (haha they are 4 and 5!). come on discounts!!

I am also going in June and September!! I had booked the September trip first. I am going with my kids and husband and my sister's family, but my other sister couldn't come because she would be missing the beginning of school and it's her first year of highschool. So...since I couldn't wait for September, I planned a mini trip with my little sister and I to go in June!

I am getting too excited!! I need my mickey mail to get here and I should probaby start looking for travel items to keep me occupied :)

I'm sure he will love it!! My husband would like to do it, but I told him in his dreams! :lmao: Hope he has a wonderful time!! You'll have to report back on how it went! :)
