***Official June, 2012! Hot, hot, hot!!!***

My DH just noticed the Mickey Mouse head rings for the MM shower curtian. I was like, "umm no, they're not MM. You must be so obsessed with MM that you are just see'ing him every where." He then accused me of being obsessed with me.....me?.....never.:lmao:

I did finish up the mini M&M tubes for our trip. I now have a total of 5 of them. I guess while I was making the last 4, I was talking to myself as I was going it. My DH started laughing at me and said that it was cute, yet slightly crazy, how I was not only talking to myself, but praising myself for the way I did the tubes. I have one tube each for tolls, laundry, quarter presses and then 2 for penny presses. The ones for penny presses, I put 2 quarters then a penny, and repeated that to the top of the tube. I'm pretty sure I have enough for 20 pressed pennies, and 11 pressed quarters.

That sounds so cute! Do you have any pictures? We want to make pressed pennies again this time and didn't think about storing the quarters in M & M tubes! It's time for another craft! We've made a countdown chain, window and door decorations, tie dye t-shirts, and autograph books so far! :hyper: :faint:

Here's my little news for today!

I finally applied for, and got instantly approved for a Disney Premier Visa Card (like the one in the ads we see above). I just couldn't resist since the $100 credit on my statement will pay for one night of my budget trip.

According to the reply after I applied, I should get my card within 2 weeks so it should come in time for me to use it to take to Disney and pay off my room when I get there in 23 days.

At first DH asked why I wanted to do this but I carefully explained it and that I continue to want to establish credit in my own name. Yes, I won't use most of the benefits since I have an annual pass and don't have children with me but I am excited anyway!

I think DH was a bit hyper at first because we haven't applied for a new credit card in years (our credit score is excellent!!!) and he worries about keeping it so! But even he likes to save a bit of money!

I don't have any pictures, but they are not done yet. I'm going to make wrappers to go around them. Right now I just have the M&M wrapers off the tubes and what they are for written in Sharpie marker. I'll take some pictures as soon as I get them wrapped. The one for tolls, I'm not going to do anything to. It's in the minivan already, and I'm just going to keep the M&M wrapper on it.

You've really inspired me to make my own preparations to make some pressed coins! I made about 10 on my last trip, but I thought I wouldn't bother this time. But with the genius idea of the M&M tubes, I think I might want to collect some more!

Thanks for the inspiration! :woohoo:

First time at WDW Jun 3 -Jun 7 Disney Contempary Resort :banana:

Congratulations :woohoo::dance3:

You will  CR

DD and I stayed there in November. The walking path to MK is priceless.

What a great and creative idea :thumbsup2

My sister and I saw Dark Shadows today and it did not disappoint. You can't go wrong with Johnny Depp and Tim Burton.

We'll be at the Polynesian from June 2-9...we just got an email pin for this May, so we may be at another Disney resort for several days before :cloud9:

Hi June Disers! I was at my local Home Depot yesterday and they said they no longer have Mickey paint, so no more lime green Mickey head paint chips!!!! :worried: Has anyone else run in to this? I didn't know if it was just up here in New England or is it that we've depleted all of their supplies across the country?!?

Grats on getting the card. My DH would be so mad at me if I did that. Our credit is not good at all. Mainly due to medical stuff, and we just don't apply for cards.

Anytime. I bought the M&M tubes just for that. I had read about using them for it some where on these boards. I forced my DSs and nephew to eat the M&M's out of it.

What a great and creative idea :thumbsup2

Thank you, but I got it from these boards. Although I did come up with the idea of stacking the pennies and quarters in the tube like we would use them. This way I don't have to get them from two different tubes. I just have to open one tube up, take the top 3 coins and make a pressed penny.

I'm glad that you enjoyed it, but that is one movie that I just can't torture myself by watching. I'm a huge J.D. fan, and used to say that I would watch anything he was in. I just can't with that one. I was hoping it wouldn't have been a spoof, but should have known better with Tim Burton involved. I was so excited when I heard about it and hoped it would do the original and the remake tv show justice, but I can't even sit through the trailers.

I had heard that. When I told my DH, he said it was b/c of all of the crazy DIS people taking them to make craft projects.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY :flower3:

The same to you and all of the other Mom's on here.

We celebrated Mother's Day for me yesterday and then for my mom and mil today. My 3 guys took me to see The Avengers movie and then to this hibachi restaurant that I have been wanting to eat at for years. We had such a good time. When we first got there, our youngest DS had his hand covering his mouth. It's what he does when he is in a crowded area. When the cook, tried to get him to catch some egg in his mouth, he moved his hand. Then he just didn't put it back, and had a great time. When we left, we talked to the owner of manager. The youngest DS insisted b/c he wanted to tell him how awesome it was.

My sister and I thought the same thing until we saw the movie. The trailers are very misleading. The movie is dramactic and according to my sister who remembers the series much better than I said it does follow the original story. We came out very pleasantly surprised and we loved the music too.

Sounds like you and your family had a good Mother's Day. That was great what the chef did for your son :goodvibes

I just can't see it. Part of it is my own fault. I guess my expectations were too high. I was basically expecting the tv version in movie form. Johnny Depp as a dark, brooding vampire. It has that Tim Burton feel to it, which I think is part of the problem. As much as I love his movies, I just think it was the wrong direction for that material. I'm just super picky about stuff like that though. I still have never seen the 1994 version of Miracle on 34th Street. As cute as Mara Wilson was at the time, she is no Natalie Wood.

OMG, we are 23 days out and I am just a mixed bag of emotions right now. DH and I went away for the weekend and it was a disaster.

I am glad to be home, but we aren't really speaking right this minute. He leaves on Saturday morning for 2 weeks and his parents will be here in 17 days. I have so much to do and I just want to crawl on a hole.

I don't want them to come now, and I don't want to go to Disney either...ughhhh :furious:
