Ok so i want to know??? What have you all packed in terms of clothes and shoes??? I ordered a bunch of stuff from kohls and oldnavy. I hope they get here soon cause DH says he would like to see me in something other than old navy t shirts, air force or USC t shirts. So i bought cute tops, we will see how long this lasts. I put on some weight over the past years soooooo I dont know.
Are you guys going sleeveless, capris, moo-moo'sss lol just curious?

I have been packing my girls up for two weeks( well you might want to call it packing what i have been doing is buying and throwing new clothes ina suitcase...lol) I have a list a mile long of what i need to bring. I wish it was the 17th now!!!
I dyed my hair today, i wanted a dark brown and now I have black...LOL I am sessy...not! I need a magical vacation already!

I'm bringing nothing but sleeveless tops (tanks, halters, tube tops). For me, it's just too hot in June in Orlando for t-shirts. I have some pics posted in my PTR of the new shirts I've bought for my DD and myself. Not to brag, but I think that Old Navy has THE best clothing (I work there) for the best deals. To give everyone a heads up, starting on Sunday (June 7th), EVERY article of Men's clothing is going to be ........ 50% off!!!!! This sale runs until June 21st (Father's Day). Happy shopping!!!

I will take enough t-shirts and shorts to get me through. 1 half-way decent outfit (jic, right?), and a handful of sleeveless...although I'm not much for sleeveless because my body and thyroid have a love-hate relationship (more hate than love), and I haven't figured out that perfect combination to make the body want to give up 50 or so extra pounds. (In other words, my upper arms need serious work...)

Capris are a joke for me (for the most part). Being overweight and short.. Apparently, overweight people are supposed to be 6 feet tall...so capris are generally pants that are slightly higher than my ankle. The couple of pairs that fit me closer to what a capri is supposed to are so HOT...Shorts, please!

I have a stack of tank tops and a few pairs of shorts that I will wear during the day and will probably change to t's and capri's for the evening. I did buy a nice T to wear with a pair of capris I had to wear on the KTTK tour that we are doing, I didn't want to look sloppy during that. I also have a nice cotton shirt and capris to wear to my birthday breakfast (my late mom bought it for me last year for my birthday), but I will most likely change into shorts before heading out to the park.

I am a rather large girl and try to look as neat as possible even on vacation, so I have to take alot of clothes and I will probably wear 2 outfits most days and I don't do laundry on vacation.

I was going to color my hair my usual red, but decided that I would be washing it more than usual and would just wash it out, so I will skip that until we get back home. Red tends to turn brassy in the sun anyway.

I am not a tihn chicka either but i have been trying to lose 15 or so pounds before we head out but I am not a rabitt so its hard. We live kinda out in the boonies, i wish we had some dance classes or something near by so i could do osmething fun to lose weight.

I bought a few capris and shorts and sleevless shirts but I am so self concious of my arms. Though my husband says I am hot but i say he wears carmen electra googles!

I love old navy!!! i am wearing old navy now! I wear old navy all the time. My friends freak out if I am not wearing old navy they think i have a fever!

I just dont know what shoes to wear with a nicer shirt and capris or shorts. I usually wear flip flops which is out of the question for a day at the parks. I bought a pair of really low cut sketchers which i hope will look ok. my dh says its not a fashion show! Honestly at home i dont care, I am not taking 100 pictures a day either.
I figure to counteract my arms Ill pose like peter pan in all my pics! ot make everyone stand above me to get a picture ( you look thiner if the person taking the picture is above you). I am sure once i am there I wont care....but on that note the worse was buying a bathing suit. i had to drop the cash and buy a 70.00 cause the others were majorly matronly or mono kinis...really women just wear a bathing suit or bikini...monokini..lol..(disclaimer: if you have a monokini I am sure you rock it... not all views posted are that of the poster...LOL)
i shouldnt have booked so early too much time to worry about things like outfit choices...

Clothes...we love Old Navy, too! I get the kids some stuff on clearance at Gap and The Children's Place. I also get all of us lots of stuff from Kohl's (well, mostly Gma takes care of the kids there!). I have packed all of us shorts and sleeveless shirts! It is too hot for much else. I have a few sundresses for dd and me, too. The kids have one pair of good sandals, one pair of gym shoes, and one pair of flops.
My mom and sister are joining us for a few days and if they are up to it, I am thinking of having them watch the dcs for a few hours so dh and I can enjoy a meal alone (sort of an anniversary clebration-it was last weekend). I am hoping to get into Cali Grill or Citrico's, on a late ADR. Cross your fingers for a cancellation!
Other than that, I need to get finish up some stuff and head out! Off to the mouse!

I know what you mean.......I started my vacation from work yesterday. I don't go back to work until July 6!!!

We leave Sunday morning....Disney World or bust!!!

Magic kingdome has 2 SpectroMagic in 3 & 4 week every day. Park hours are either till 11 infact mostly till mid night.

First of all...thank you, thank you, thank you for adding me to the list!!

Secondly - sherraby, maybe see you 'round the CBR. I hope your DS's appt. went well.

Now - clothes. I had a great plan to get 30 lbs off before Disney starting back in January when we booked. I started and got sick, got better, started again, got sick and so on and so on until here we are 16 days away and STILL sick. Honestly, if DH hadn's been going through the same thing I'd think I was seriously ill. Anyway - that means I've only lost 10 of the 30 so buying clothes was a real joy.

Last week I went out and bought several skorts - who knew? I thought they'd be too bulky but they actually looked better than anticipated. Also several pr of shorts (I don't wear shorts mostly capris) and some tanks. I think I have enough for shorts and tanks each day and then capris and tanks with a sweater in the evenings for A/C restaurants.

And shoes - Tevas for the parks and a couple of nicer sandals (but still comfy - Bare Traps) for evenings, crocs for the kids and 1 pr of running shoes each which I doubt anyone but DH will wear. DD6 has her first pair of "high heeled" sandals - with sparklies!!!

I have to do a last check this week to make sure I have enough, as I also refuse to do laundry on vacay. Except for any stain (pizza sauce) rinsing in the sink.

mrukcj - you killed me with the peter pan thing. For me I usually turn sideways and half hide behind DH, but since there will be just the four of us, I guess I'll have to crouch behind the kids. Or steal your PP trick.

Just dropped my last bus load of kids off. Last day of school today. Just 12 more days till we leave. Time to make sure everyone has clothes that fit. For some reason my kids insist on getting taller every year. Tomorrow is shopping day and the next week is for packing. I can't wait.
