I'm a little concerned. I looked at the weather for Orlando over the next 10 days. Every day is listed as a 40% chance of scattered thunderstorms . Is anyone else concerned about this? We've never been to WDW and I'm just wondering how bad the rain really is. Thanks for any advice/reassurance!!!

I'm a little concerned. I looked at the weather for Orlando over the next 10 days. Every day is listed as a 40% chance of scattered thunderstorms . Is anyone else concerned about this? We've never been to WDW and I'm just wondering how bad the rain really is. Thanks for any advice/reassurance!!!

Hi there. We are also leaving Sunday. Over to lexington and then straight down I-75. We will probably be passing each other on the way and never know it.

As far as the rain goes, I wouldn't worry about to much. You can always bet on an afternoon shower in Florida during the summer. They are usually about 30 mins. or less but can sometimes be longer or shorter. Bring a poncho or umbrella and have a blast, but don't let the threat of rain dampen your spirits!!!

What do you think you need those ponchos for....Kali River....IT IS NOT GOING TO RAIN WHILE I AM AT DISNEY I won't let it

It's funny you say that, though, Dh and I went down in March for a quick weekend trip and it was supposed to rain the whole weekend, it didn't rain 1 drop until we were getting ready to leave I think my mom had something to do with that and I don't think she will let it rain next week either She wouldn't want it to rain on her baby's birthday.

We are leaving ATL about 10pm Friday night (DD has a dance recital) we booked a room in Tifton then on Saturday we are driving to Homosassa Springs to see the Manatees and staying off site on Saturday night. If we were not leaving so late on Friday we would have driven all the way there in about 7 hours.

We are leaving Phenix City, AL/Columbus, GA about 12 Friday night/Saturday morning and driving all the way. We will probably be in Tifton about 2 or 2:30am Saturday morning and should arrive at WDW around 8am Saturday. My cousin's girls have their dress rehearsal Friday afternoon/evening and Dh will nap while I am there, as we will miss their recital on Saturday night. I can sleep while he drives and then we will miss the traffic on I-75 on Saturday. It was his idea. Most likely we will take it pretty easy on Saturday and we have ressies at T-Rex at 8pm on Saturday night

We leave Friday I still don't have everything packed hopefully I can get it all done tonight after Softball Games.

I don't either, but I am almost there. I have been trying to consolidate some of my bags, but am not having any luck, I think I will give up and just take it all Since we drive, it won't matter. I will probably finish tomorrow morning, since I have a million things to do on Friday.

I wouldn't worry at all. This will be our 4th June trip and have never seen much rain this time of year. I am not going to worry. I saw some 20% chances, but as one of the locals on here says, you can't trust the weather report more than 3 days out if you can trust them at all. All that means to me is that there will be one of the usual afternoon showers that lasts all of 20 minutes. 2 years ago, we stayed at ASMovies and a very light shower started while we were waiting fro the MK bus, by the time we got on the bus and got to Mk, the rain had stopped and it didn't rain again (20 mins top)

As I told Glendamax, my mom isn't going to let it rain on her baby's birthday trip

I'm sitting at my office today finishing up at work, and will be jumping in my car at 3pm to head on up to Disney. Checking into Boardwalk at approx 7pm today!

Maybe I'll bump into you in the parks somewhere. Gotta eat at Jiko at least one day, so I'll be over at AKL too.

Suzanne I hope it doesn't rain! But I always wear them on water rides. I know I look like a big dork, but at least I'll be dry!

I have 20 days left before Disney. I'm starting to get a little nervous about the weather. We have never been in June. We usually go in April or May. My husband's work schedule would not allow that time period this year. I'm not worried about the heat..just the rain.
