Official JUNE 2009 Thread!!!

I thought I'd pass along information for those of you who were wondering about the June park hours. I recently emailed Disney asking about the May and June park hours and the new ADR system (which we now know about but I didn't know at the time of the email). Here is my email and their reply (in reverse order). I think it's funny how they answer part of the question but not all of it.:rotfl:

By the way, I hope you guys get a chuckle out of my original email to Disney.

Here's the copy:

Dear Lisa,

Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney World Resort.

Dining reservation arrangements may be made up to 90 days in advance for
select restaurants and character dining experiences in our theme parks
and resort hotels, as well as our Dinner Shows. Although it is not
currently possible for dining arrangements to be made online, guests may
call the Walt Disney World Dining Department directly at 407-WDW-DINE
(407-939-3463).

Additional information on the various dining locations throughout the
Walt Disney World Vacation Kingdom can be found on our web site:

Okay guys, I am starting to hyperventilate because the May and June
hours are STILL not posted AND you haven't implemented the new dining
reservation system yet.

I find myself looking at the website several times a day. Calling
Disney Dining at least once a week.

My palms are sweating! My head is swimming and it hurts real bad! I
have a terrible rash all over my body! I can't concentrate on anything
for a substantial length of time! Disney is putting my health at risk
here!

Seriously, I do wonder when you will have the May and June hours loaded
and when you'll have the new Disney Dining reservation system up and
running. It's really hard to plan my vacation days without them.

Hope my joke made your day and I hope to hear from someone soon!

Lisa

Lisa, thanks for the great chuckle after a hard Monday-after-a-great-holiday return to work day.

I want to join you. We booked our June trip when the 4/3 deal came out and are going for my birthday(June 8). We will be there June 6-13, 2009 at POFQ for the first time.

Looks like we will finally get to take part in the SWW, we have only been during a small part of it before and want to see more.

Probably won't be doing many dining ressies, we are using the new Quick Service dining plan, just tooo hot in June for that much food. I will probably book one ressie for my birthday breakfast but probably no others.

Suzanne

Don't know if you read my post above but it looks like Disney doesn't even know. Speculation is they will be released 90 days in advance.

Lisa your email is great! I wonder what the CM who read that thought! Hope they got a chuckle out of it like we did.

We just booked BCV for the first time and I am soooo excited! We will be there at the end of June!!!!! So I look on the calendar to see which parks have EMH...not loaded!?! O.K. so then I call DD to book at least our 1st morning breakfast..we always go to the castle and eat at CRT...I hear "I am sorry mam, you cannot reserve any dining until 90 days b/f your trip! Well I had NO IDEA! silly me! Oh Well...I have my ticker so at 90days on the nose I will be on the phone!! LOL...

Hope that the CM who got my email got a good chuckle. I knew the people here on the boards would 'cause ya'll are hyperventilating too....go on admit it!

puff...puff...puff...**breathing into paper bag**

Whew, okay much better now...

I think the release of the May hours will give us a good indication of when to expect June hours. Unless we get lucky and they release both together.

See, I told you I wasn't the only one!

We are going. Dates are not firm yet but June is for certain, we have 3 birthdays that month in 3 different weeks so just picking which week we go for.

We went last June, it was a bit crowded but not as bad as it could have been. We worked the crowds pretty good and rode a lot of rides. I just started thinking it might be super crazy with all the promos going on this year eek! I'm glad we have been before so we can skip things if needed.

I'm still trying to figure out if it's better to stay at SOG for 4 days or book 3 days in a disney value with the 40% military code or go all out and do the 4 for 3! We are only doing 3 days in the parks but want to go to sea world too and take a rest day or two so we could stay longer if need be if it's cheaper. Just talking out loud to myself, don't mind me. :rotfl: We are a family of 5 and that factors in a lot where we can stay.

I need help I am looking for info on bounce back offers!:confused3

PLEASE help JUNE 2009 THREAD:wizard:

You can take us OFF of the list. :headache: We are going to move our wedding back. But only for eight weeks. So we will be going in August instead of June. I have a ADR for CM at 11am on the 10th if anyone wants it. I know it is late. But that was going to be our sleep in day. Just let me know and I will give you the conf. #
