The days we are going are about the only ones we could go during the 4/3 promo. We are sandwiched between the kids getting out of school and dh starting summer school! We are going to be there for dd's bday, though.

Oh I can certainly understand And no worries. You go when you can go. My DW is a librarian at an elementary school-and summer is about the only time she can go. Now if she worked at a year round school that would be different.

This is our first time at CSR and we can't wait. I had changed my ressie a couple of times because we are going the same time as some friends and we had originally tried to arrange to be at the same hotel but they have since switched to mod and then deluxe. They tried to get into CSR and couldn't. I'm glad we were able to.

Anyway, going June 9-16th, staying at CSR. Hopefully, DH doesn't get laid off before then. Oh man, this economy needs to turn around.

We'll be arriving on the 13th, but checking into Pop on the 14th!!! Too bad you'll be leaving as we're getting there. And don't worry, things will work out.

You will love it. It is so beautiful. The complaints I hear are that it is too big...but that's why it never feels crowded! I also hear that it's not "Disney." No, it is not cartoony, but what it does is make you think you are someplace lese, like the southwest for example. Taking you someplace other than FL is what Disney does best, kwim? Also, the pool is awesome! If your dd is a swimmer, she will love it. My kids will go down the slide over and over.

Star Wars Weekend. I'm not sure of the dates but I'm sure someone here knows! Also gay days.

Star Wars Weekends end on the 14th, so that's the first two weekends of June. Gay Days are the 4th-7th, I believe, in the parks. I'm planning around both events because they do increase crowds. I know Saturday is MK for Gay Days, and Sunday is Epcot.

We're not arriving until the 8th, so hopefully we will be ok. Is Star Wars at MGM? If it is, I'll just steer clear of there on the weekends. Thanks for the info!

We visited DHS on our first night last June on a Saturday afternoon and it really wasn't that bad. I was surprised because I thought it might be crowded, but it wasn't. We have never really experienced very large crowds that week though at any of the parks and we have been going that week for the last few years for my birthday on June 8th.

I can't believe I've missed this thread! I am glad I found it!

We are going June 6-11. We bought DVC in September and this will be our first "official" trip home. The DD's and I stayed at AKV when DD was hunting last October so this will be his first stay there!

Just payed off our Disney trip yesterday We will be at Pop from June 10th to 22nd but will officially start our vacation on the 12th. After driving for about 24 to 28 hours it's nice to just kick back and relax for a day before hitting the parks.

That's good to know about the early June crowds. I am expecting and planning for the worst however. On our last trip in ealry July 2007, the crowds were massive. Hopefully this time of year and with the economy struggling it won't be to bad. And hopefully not all schools are out for the summer either.

I have heard that the crowds are lighter that first week of June than they are later in the summer! I'm choosing to believe that because it makes me happier!

Yippee!! Count us in. We're (Me, DH, DD 9, DS 7) booked for June 13 - 20th. It was just too good a deal to pass up. We are staying at POFQ for the first time. This will be our 4th trip but the first time we are staying more than 4 days. I can't imagine being able to go to the parks more than once. Woohoo!! Also it will be my 45th birthday while we are there.

I need to update our plans. We decided to stay at the BWI instead. With the 4/3 deal we realized this might be our only chance to stay at a deluxe hotel so we had to take advantage of it! We are also VERY excited that we will be there for the very last day of the Star Wars Weekends. Whew! I thought the SWW were all of June so I guess we're lucky to catch it.
