Official JUNE 2008

Hey Amy - we all LOVE our crocs (except dh who refuses to wear them!)..... it's all my kids will wear! I don't want to wear my regular crocs to WDW b/c my feet will get too hot and I don't want white feet (although I would LOVE to wear my Mickey ones!), but I am going to try on a couple different styles of Crocs sandals (Capris look comy and stylish, I think). I'll take Stride Rites for the kids, but my guess is that they will wear their Mickey crocs most of the time since they live in them here.....

Try the Adidas sandals (got mine at Kohls and they do have larger sizes - it was hard for me to find a size 6/7, though) w/ the memory foam soles. I've had mine for a few days and they are SUPER comfy!

Still haven't found any shoes yet. I am tempted to try on a pair of crocs. I have read that these are very comfy - squishy - and that they have a thick heel. Do you own any of these?

How can you ask that question on the DIS? :lmao:
We all own 10 pair each in a rainbow of colors! ;)

Seriously, they are my favorite shoes. I have them in four different styles and wear them almost every day. I had knee surgery a couple of years ago, and it feels so much better when I wear them.

Thanks for the info and input on the Crocs! :goodvibes I think that I am going to try a pair this week. I saw a pair online at zappos - the Mary Janes - and they looked really cute. I am going to try and find them in person so that I can see them before I buy them! I will definitely take a pair of tennis shoes with me, but I do not want to wear them everyday. I also want something that will look cute with my capris for when we go out to eat in the evening.

As of today we are down to....

Drum roll please...

50DAYS!!!

DIG IT!!!

We'vr got all our ADRs set...most new summer clothes bought...and now all that's left is to wait for that five o'clock A.M. hour to roll around and we hit the road!party:

50 MORE DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can I get a WOOT WOOT!?

I swear the last time I was this excited I ended up at the hospital having a c sec!

This is just as fun without the pain right????? (The surgery, not the kiddo LOL!)

OMG, I'm really going to Disney!!!!!!! Oh ya, the kids and hubby are going too yadda yadda.........

I need a tiara. OOH! No no! I need like a crown thing! *writing that down on my list*:woohoo:

So I need to decorate the window and get some lime green stuff? Am I part of the DIS too now? We're going with two other families and I've introduced them to the board and they love it too!

BTW, don't laugh... okay DO laugh because it's funny... I thought there was a secret members only stuffed crocodile exchange thing going on for the longest time. Turned out to be a brand of shoes a lot of y'all like..... Crocs.

:rolleyes1

Hi there! We're going in June also!

Just wanted to chime in on the crocs... I have many, many pairs! :)

I have the Mary Jane's and ended up giving them away b/c they were not as comfortable as the others. My favorite hot weather croc is the scute. Check those out. I wear them just about every day, and when it is cold I wear them with socks! Tacky I know!

The regular crocs would be too hot for summer Disney, but the scutes are perfect!

Hi there, we're also going in June - but the last day so I am probably a fraud June Dis-er!!! We're staying for two weeks - 10-days in a villa and 4-days in the AKL.

I'm going with my husband and my Mum and Dad!

My Mum and Dad have just got into Crocs in a BIG way bless them! Are they really ok to wear during a long day at the park? The one thing I hate about our full days out is that I have to wear comfy trainers and ankle socks but my feet get sooooo hot! I'd love to be able to wear flip-flops but I don't think my feet would cope!!! Anyone have any Crocs flip-flops? I got a pair the other day but have been busy so not really had much time to test 'em out!!!

xxx

At the 50 day mark!! YAY!

  • I have ADRS, touring plans and park schedules printed and laminated to easily slide into my little bag.
  • Airline and rental car confirmations and adr ressies again entered in my Cell phone and DP's cell. All important phone numbers in there as well, resort number etc.
  • Green Grocer order made and paid for ....additions made also (probably will think of more LOL)
  • Both DDs suitcases are packed. (we bought them new Vacay clothes at an Old Navy sale, which they get to wear the rest of summer too)
  • My Disney tub is full of all the necessities I learned on the boards ;) Mole skin, body glide, new toothbrushes, small misting fans, dish soap towelettes, glow sticks necklaces and bracelets for the kids at night, All small and mighty laundry soap, plastic/mesh over the door shoe rack for bathroom, mini mms tubes for quarters and pennies for pressed pennies, antibacterial spray, wipes, ughit goes on and on its a BIG Disney tub :lmao:

I have our non Disney week pretty planned out as well. Seaworld, Aquatica, Discovery Cove, US IOA, Beaches, Kennedy Space center, SHOPPING!

I STILL feel like I am forgetting something! EEEEEK!:confused3

Yes! You are an official DISer!! Go to Home Depot and get the Alien Green Disney paint chips - that's what everyone else has said to do. Put them on your door or backpack (or whatever bag you are carrying around the parks) and put your DIS name on it. You don't have to, but many people like to actually meet one another after they have begun "talking" on various threads.

WOW!! You are ready! I was curious about the Moleskin. I have read about it on other threads, but where did you find it? I haven't seen it but I might me looking in the wrong place. Do you think that Walgreen's might have it?

My walgreens has it here! Its in with the footcare. Walgreens has its own brand. Drugstore.com has it too. They also have Body Glide! I love that site, and you earn "drugstore dollars" to use on future purchases.

Oh and check out keen sandals when youre shoe shopping, Love!

Thanks for the info!! I will defintely check them both out. I have never used Body Glide (sounds like it's to be used for other purposes :lmao: ) or moleskin. Our last trip was four years ago in Feb. so the temps weren't bad at all. I will probably need both of these products for June since it will probably be around 95 degree and 100 % humidity (but let's hope for 75 degrees and 40% or less humidity!).
