Official June 2008 code watch

I need a code for 3 days in June or I'll be offsite.

I'm glad I haven't been holding my breath while waiting for a June code 'cause it doesn't look as if we are going to have any luck.

Uncle Sam came a knockin' on our door (well, he actually broke the door down and barrelled right on in) so we've downgraded substantially. Now we aren't staying at the Wilderness Lodge but at Pop Century. We also cut out the dining plan 'cause our friends are going and they aren't on the plan. It really wouldn't be too much fun not eating with them so I'm okay with that.

I've still called Disney every week or so to see if I have a code attached to my name but, so far, no luck.

I received my Disney Moms Panel packet in the mail yesterday and thought I might be rewarded with a code but nothing there either.

Update: Was able to change from the Riverside over to the French Quarter!!

We'll be there 6/11-6/16! We requested Bldg 14 to be close to food court and pool. Oldest DD is playing in the AAU volleyball tourney 6/12-6/15. I'll have a Mickey Head on our door & probably have one hanging off our bag. Most days I'll be in some type of a Hawaiian shirt. Say howdy if ya see me.

I'm hoping for a room only discount - we'll be there for the PPP 6/4, staying just one night. I have CR MK view booked now, but my girls are okay with any of the monorail resorts... looks like there's still availability at both Poly and GF, so we'll see if a fantastic code offer brings anything new to the table

We'll be there June 7-14. We're staying at ASMu. We just got a AAA rate yesterday, so those are still available for some of the resorts. I think we got 10% off our entire package before taxes. Saved us around $150 or so.

We don't have any park time planned our first day so you might see us hanging out at the pool and sipping on some cold adult beverages

Well, i just switched to POR to surprise my wife, this is our 2 year anniversary, so you will not be seeing me at POP. Still, have a great time at POP and get a mojito at Pedals.

Just wondering if there was any updated information anybody can add. I've called Disney every three or four days to find out if there are any codes during our stay (5/29 to 6/7). Nothing yet.

Well, i just switched to POR to surprise my wife, this is our 2 year anniversary, so you will not be seeing me at POP. Still, have a great time at POP and get a mojito at Pedals.

Well have a great time at POR! POFQ is our fave resort but DH's dad and brother are staying POP, thus we are as well

Don't forget to take a quiet evening stroll along the canal between both resorts...very romantic

Thanks for the tip... This is probably going to be our last stay in a non-DVC resort as i think we are going to buy into DVC in the next 12months (Either resale BWV or if they start selling Kingdom towers)...

I figured we'd wait to begin our pester fest until May. . .last year APs were released 5/16. I really do not have much hope for a discount on our room type/category because we couldn't even get AAA for it. I know last year there weren't even APs for the resort during June, IIRC.

At least I had a AAA last year, then again, we went in July not our usual June trip. Even so, I couldn't get an AP for our room type/category at Polynesian for July either. We stayed one night at YC and they had AP rates out the ying yang.

In any event, we'll watch and keep some hope alive. . .and begin our calling soon.

congratulations!
I'm hoping DH falls in love with WDW this trip so we can consider DVC (it's our first family WDW trip!)

However on Friday and Sat DVC Resorts are mega points so if you stay longer than say Sun thru Thurs you may still want to stay occasionally at non-DVC resorts. We are renting points and that is the case for us so we will be staying at other hotels on Friday and Saturday.
