Official June 2008 code watch

Add us to the list! May 31st to June 8th. Looking at a MOD this time. Did Pop last time, loved it, and WL time before, loved too!

Hoorah! We just booked our vacation for June 10-17 at ASMu. Only five months to wait!:yay:

Please add me to the list...ready to book our trip for Coronado Springs for June 20-June 25.

Haven't been to Disney since 91...so it is like going for the first time. Have 2 kids, 10 and 2...any tips are greatly appreciated.

Add me to the list! Our family is going June 29 - July 1st! Celebrating my triplets 8th birthday in the castle! I think we'll stay at the WL again.

I'm joining in even though I'm not hopeful for June ap rates. The trend for June isn't great the last two summers, but at least we are going and we are going longer:banana:

I'm a newbie, just found these forums today and so grateful!

My fiance and I are going June 10-17 for our honeymoon! Still haven't booked yet because I wanted to have all the info I could before I booked. Were planning on staying at All Star, but after I got my Disney Rewards Visa we thought about upgrading to the CBR but I am getting such mixed reviews, I don't know if it's worth it. So now I'm thinking POP since it will save us about $700... which is a lot for college students like us! We are getting the DDP which I think will save us a ton... overall, really excited! Would love codes or discounts but so far looks like none for June... and since it's the most expensive rates of the year, I think we'd be better off at POP and go to a Moderate or Deluxe when it's cheaper. I haven't been since June 98 for Magic Music Days (I'm a dancer) and we stayed offsite... I remember going to the All Star for practices and being so jealous we didn't stay there, so I don't think I'll be disappointed with POP or All Star... just need to make a decision so I can finally book this!

Like I mentioned, I have the Disney Visa, will I save any by booking with it? I'm looking at rates online, and I'm guessing its better to call to book to make sure we get a king room, and a mini fridge? I'm a total newbie so any info would be great!

dtr_angel, since it is your honeymoon you might want a bit of romance with your accommodation's. Might I suggest PORFQ? It is very New Orleans like. There are carriage rides available, the pool is a bit better than many others, you are a boatride away from DTD, a piano player entertains most evenings in the lobby, no sit down restaurant but in June the weather will be nice enough that you can take your food out to the wrought iron tables to enjoy the ambiance of your surroundings. It is in the same price range as CBR and much smaller and so easier to get around.

Is there anyway that you could go earlier or a bit later and be eligible for discounts that are not as likely at that popular time of the year? Honeymoons are often better when delayed a bit to give you some time to rest up from all the wedding preparations and celebrations.

Best wishes and congratulations to you both.

Thank you so much for replying.

Our wedding is May 31st, so our honeymoon is slightly delayed. We'd love to leave the 1st or 2nd, but we found out about something going on that adds about an extra 130k people June 3-9 so we decided to wait a week since it's going to be so crowded anyway. We both have the majority of June off, so it's really the best time for us to go. We are both college students so we wouldn't be able to go in Sept when the rates dropped. Going earlier isn't an option either due to school & work, and the fact that we want our honeymon AFTER the wedding :P The south/Louisiana charm of POR doesn't really appeal to either of us, we were looking at CBR for a while but I think we're definitely going to go with POP to save money for now, and go to a nicer resort the next time we return in the off season.

Please add us to the list. This will be our first major trip with our girls and we want to keep it a surprise until we get there. :yay:

We are staying at POP from June 16 thru 24th.

Hi!:thumbsup2

We just returned from our awesome trip last month and as soon as we got back to Connecticut I've been secretly planning our next trip..shhh don't tell hubby!:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

Anyway, we will be going back down to our home away from home on June 12 - 21 and staying at the Beach Club once again. I'm hoping for codes to come out before then:worship: :worship:

I mean US to June, my DH and I. We're hoping for 6/14 - 6/21 at the Poly. I called just 5 minutes ago. Of course, no AP rates out yet. She said "call back in march to check for those."

I got the 7 nights with a AAA discount in a standard room for $2,827.93. That includes tax. I asked what it would be without a discount and she said $3,142.09. That's a little savings I guess - $314.16. So, I booked it and will start making my payments.

Of course, I want more of a savings than that, so I shall now start my lurking and searching process for that all-important myserious code. We typically haven't gone during this time period. We have done July and a few years back late May. So, I'm new to June.

Historically - what has been the room only and AP discount offered during this time? I'd love to hear what others paid for the Poly in that time frame.

Here we go..........

dtr_angel, I can see where you are coming from that you would want something different. :) I guess that is why I am not overly excited about Wilderness Lodge and all. City folks think country exotic and visa versa. I think you will enjoy POP Century being young and all. Heck with your love so new you will not notice anything but each other any old way and will have fun anywhere. You can save the sappy romantic stuff for when you are old and need inspiration. :rotfl2:

I am glad that you will not be hopping onto a plane or into a car right after the ceremony and will get a chance to rest up a bit before taking off.

I hope you have a memorable and happy honeymoon with nothing but sunshine and moonshine to light the way.

Please add us to the list. After the Wonder cruise, we are staying at WL May 29-June 4. I booked without any codes or anything. But did some research and got a decent discount with AAA.

Btw, what is "AP" stand for that people are mentioning on this thread? I'm new the boards, still learning the lingo and have only a few posts.

hi everyone! Add me to the list .. June 14-21 WL

We leave in 2 weeks with the whole family and then my daughter and I are going to do a mother daughter week this summer :cheer2:

Like everyone else here, I am looking for codes to bring the cost of our package down a little :rotfl:

Am also new to the posts. Please add us for POP on June 12-17. (By the way, what does add me to the list actually mean? Will there be some kind of alert when codes come out for people on the thread? I'm so confused.)About AAA rates - do they run out way in advance? Should I book with AAA and they apply codes later or just wait and do it all at once? Also, has anyone rented a car for just a day? We want to do Universal for 2 days, but there are 6 of us and Mears seems like it would be more expensive for us than just renting a little car and jamming into it for 2 days - thoughts?

Mom of 2 obsessed with planning!
