Yesterday I took off from work around 12:30PM after lunch to take DD shopping for new clothes. WOW!!! that was a disaster.

DD is growing up and yesterday it really, really hit home. It reminded me of the episode on Duck Dynasty when Sadie and her father Willie went shopping for a prom dress and Si tagged along.

We shopped for 6 hours at stores in Fort Worth, tired on so many clothes I lost count. DD said can't find anything Dad, I want to go to Southlake and shop at Tyler's. I looked at DD and said that is 50 miles from here and the Friday traffic will be unbelievable. DD said ok, lets go before the store closes.

So we drove up to Tyler's, DD final bought ONE!!! Tyler shirt. Got home at 9:30pm after we stopped for dinner. We have to do it all over again today.

Edited 6:00 AM --------------------------------------------------- DD asked me what camera I was going to take this year. I said the Canon Wifi and the Sony DVD Camcorder. DD said OMG, DVD camcorder???? People don't use DVD camcorders anymore. You will look like a Dork filming with a DVD camcorder. I answered, does it really matter? DD said yes, go buy a HD Sony Blogger. This is Lucy's first trip and we are going to lots of fun and I don't want you to miss taking videos because you have to take the DVD camcorder out of your back pack. SO!!! I purchased one yesterday while shopping for DD clothes.

DD wants me to change the way I post our videos. Instead of one video at the end of our trip, she wants me to upload daily and post it like a blog. So taking her advice or looking at it as an order. I will post daily on our daily trip report. The more I think of her idea of posting daily, I can post a video of the BOG dinner as soon as we get to the resort that night.

You are a great dad for takining her all the way there! My parents would have never done that! I remember being that age and not happy with anything I tried on.

As for the new camera, I looked it up online and it looks great! Please let us know what you think about it! I've been thinking about a new camera for a while since my cell phone takes better pictures then my current camera.

I love the idea of little daily videos too! That style is very popular on YouTube right now; but I bet your DD knows that already! They call them vlogs, like a video blog.

Duck Dynasty cracks me up!! I don't watch it often but I did see the prom dress shopping one. LOL! You are a patient saint to be out shopping all day with a teenage girl
I just asked my DH the same thing about our camera situation the other day. But we will not be buying a new camera or camcorder. DH does not want to even bring the camcorder we have. He doesn't want to be "stuck" behind the camera the whole vacation. We will use our phones and I will bring the camcorder just in case.

I signed up to do live reports on the restaurant review board. I take food pics anyway so why not? Anyone here doing a trip report?

I would love to do a TR but it takes so much effort to journal and take all those pictures. I give a ton of credit to those who do. I tired to do a TR for my last trip but by day two I decided to stop taking so many pictures and just enjoy myself.

We just returned from shopping and today went very well. DD was able to find a couple of shirts, anklets and we went back to Tyler's to purchase another shirt.

I purchased a Sony Sport Bloggie today. I want to compare the Sony Duo Bloggie I purchased yesterday and the Sony Sport Bloggie. I will keep the best one after testing the cameras.

Will actually be in Orlando on July 3, after driving 19 hours from Lawton Oklahoma.

Got a room in Orlando with a great AAA rate to relax after the drive and also for our Twin 6 yr. old girls to have some fun in the pool there.

Girls are so excited about the trip to DW. They look at the calendar we have on the wall with the days remaining marked on it each morning and jump up and down clapping their hands in joy.

Welcome! Don't forget to have a touring plan and use the Fastpass - its free! If you don't plan for DW, you just can't get the things in that you want to do.
You will have a good time regardless, but you don't want to spend the whole vacation standing in lines

Wanted to come back and post we got our Mickey Mail! We're 19 days out! Time to get serious about marking things off the check list! We've had such crazy weather here (10" of rain on Sat. ) Ready for some fun in the sun!

So excited that our trip is less than 2 weeks away! We will be checking in at POP on June 29 for 13 nights. So sad we will miss the Dis meet on July 14th.

On the trip is Me (single lady), My DMom, DDad, DB, DSIL,DNieces (14 and 6.5). It is a surprise trip for my nieces; they think we are spending a week at Daytona Beach. We are hoping the 14 yr old is not disappointed.

Hope we bump into some of ya'll!

We can't check in to Coronado Resort till 3pm on the 4th so figure we could go there to do a little shopping since we have to check out of the hotel we are staying at by 11 am
