I hate to do this, but we changed our dates for our trip. We were previously going July 14th-18th staying at POR, but now it is the 15th-22nd at POFQ.

Originally, it was me, DH, and DS(11) going so DH could attend a gaming tournament at WWoS and got him the Richard Petty Driving Experience to do on the 16th. Well, my stepdaughter finally gave me dates to come visit us, 19th-30th. She said she would like to go to WDW, and I wasn't going to deny her, so we rearranged our dates. Still have to be there for the 16th because the RPDE requires $75 to make a change.

And I had a horrible time trying to make the change. I thought we would go value until DSD arrived, but only family suite's were available and I didn't want to spend the money. Then, tried to get POR for the whole stay, Nick told me there were no moderates available.

So, at this point I just ended the call, looked online at the passholder rates. Hmmm, it showed room availabe at POR, POFQ, and CSR (pirate room only). So, maybe they just didn't have anymore military rate rooms available, I call back, get Dimitri, and he got us into POFQ with the military rate. As I posted on FB, Dimitri is my man. This was my first time having any problems booking a stay. But I get to go to WDW for 7 nights now.

Also, can't remember if you were keeping track of ADR's, but I canceled one at Raglan Road on the 14th. Hope someone gets to use it.

CONGRATS!
Yay! I don't get how some people can do that so far ahead of time. We wear most of our clothes right up until a few days before the trip and I am always doing that last-minute laundry to wash___that the kids insist on bringing.

I took advantage of a lot of sales at Khols, the PX, Walmart, Target and a few other places to make sure there would be outfits that would just be packed and not be included in the packing for the trip. I do admit though that I keep having to repack because the older 2 keep going through the bags to see what I've put in them. My middle daughter keeps going for her crown and Cinderella dress.

I texted my Little Sister the other day (she's working at a Boy Scouts of America Camp as a life guard) to find out if she got her DME tags I sent to her along with a reminder note as to where to go and what to do if she doesnt use the DME tag. She texted me back saying she got her mail and sent me a letter back and that she's soo excited!

Mom2clr~I'm glad that there wasnt a need for a root canal. I am sorry that they have to drill for the cavaties though. On the upside your mouth wont hurt while your enjoying the WORLD!

OK, I'm now less than 4 weeks away and I'm already stressing about my itinerary. I have 3 differnt plans now and don't know which one I should go with. I want this trip to be as stress free as possible. I guess I'm most stressed about the crowd levels, this is our 1st summer trip. All of our other trips have been low to moderate crowds.

I just got my Frogg Toggs. They are a lot bigger than I anticipated. The first thought I had was - wonder if I can cut it in half. Hmmm... anyway took it out and the textured side felt really cold. I put it around my neck and it felt great. It says on the packaging that you can keep it in a ziplock bag for carrying it around. I think my DS is going to love it. DH - probably will do the manly guy thing - "I don't need that! It's not hot!" Which is why I didn't order him one!
We are 5 days from leaving and doin the...
Single digit dance for Disney - 9 days!
Told DH I want the suitcases out by the end of the weekend. He gave me the "yeah right" look. With us going to Nationals first I don't want to forget anything!
To everyone leaving this weekend - Have a safe trip! And save some Mickey bars for those of us arriving in 9 days! (had to say it again!)

Oh, dentist update: I have to get 2 fillings done 2 days before Disney. She doesn't do the old style metal fillings and the process is much easier so I'm hoping it will all be ok.

Must be something with the dentist right now - DD had 2 fillings done yesterday, and we leave tomorrow. I am sure you will be fine, but I know what you mean - I dread the dentist.

I will fix it up on the resort list! We had to move our dates a few weeks ago - luckily we were just looking for AP rates and it was fine.

Try not to stress about crowd levels. It will be crowded, but the parks have longer hours in the summer - just use fast pass and try to hit some of the EMHs (especially late night at the MK).

Go with this one! Last year we did RD July 9-16 and what a difference! It was almost dead in the parks until 10am (except for HS, but that's thanks to TSMM). Stayed one night for evening EMH at MK--it was open til 2am but we only made it til 1am. Had a long nap that afternoon and a day off the following day, but it really wasn't worth it for me. It also was totally unnecessary.

We have almost always gone to a park that does NOT host an EMH PERIOD. We have tried the EMH evening once at EC when they first started them up in 2007 and we have done a MK maybe twice but that has been a few years too. I am always temped because or our kids ages. THEY WANT TO SLEEP IN.

Just received my Vera Bradley Hipster and wallet and I ADORE them! I haven't carried Vera Bradley in years but I really think this is going to work. I'm definately bringing plastic bags, though, to pop my wallet in if it rains or on wet rides! Somebody also said that the magnetic clasp demagnetized their AP - has anyone else had this problem with not just their AP, but other cards?? If so the passes will be in my passholder around my neck! Have a GREAT trip everyone who is leaving soon or who are on their way!
