For those of you who were keeping up with my job situation, I learned today that I WILL be rehired back for next year and I'm moving up a grade level!! VERY relieved!! Now I'm SOOOO ready for WDW!

Congrats! I have a few friends that have been stressing also so I'm glad to hear things worked out for you.

Now it's time to celebrate.

It's been so hot here lately, it's got me wondering something.

How do all you July folks eat at Disney in this heat?? All I seem to want is salad and fruit!!!

Any tips on favorite light meals while at the "World"?

Most of the CS locations have a salad as an option. There are fresh fruit venders which also have veggie sticks & some even have chilled dill pickles. Of course Dole Whips are great to eat when it's hot but you have to eat them fast! In recent years Disney has offered healthier/lighter meals which is great during the summer.

I'll be in Florida the week of 7/11 and will be taking my DS2 on a "guys only" trip to MK, leaving DW, DD7, DD4 and DD0 at home this time. I can't wait! Dumbo, Pirates, Teacups, Small World, here we come!

Have a great guys trip - I do feel terrible for the ladies, though!

I'm moving from second to third. I'm exciting for that because I've taught 2nd for 7 years and I feel like I was starting to get stuck in a rut. Plus, I get to have a few of the kids that I had this year again next year! I wish I could've taken my whole class, they were so great!

DH came home early today in the pouring rain lol. He and I have been hashing out our August trip (providing everything falls into place). He turns and looks and me and in his most 3 eyed martian voice says "I have been choosen! The mystic portal awaits!" I look at him laugh and say "Oh you dont do character interactions because your not a child...your a 3 eyed martian!" How can you NOT do Disney without Character interaction? I cant think of anything that will feel better then a hug from Minnie and Mickey and their pals!


In July trip news, bags are packed I'm ready to go. Just need the date to get here!

So get this...
I quickly made my DS an Epcot passport using the Creative DISigns thread and Shutterfly. Since I didn't get it all done and ordered until Monday I paid for 3 day UPS shipping to ensure we would get it by next week. So today I get my order from Shutterfly open it up and inside is a Snapbook - BUT of someone's honeymoon!
I called Shutterfly and they told me they would reship it and try to get it here by next Tuesday! AND I should throw away this persons snapbook. I feel horrible throwing it away but I guess when they get my Epcot passport they will know something went wrong!

I am happy for you. My family is from NJ so I know how bad the teacher/education situation is in NJ. Congrats. Some of my good friends are still waiting to here about their jobs for next year. I am so glad you will be rehired back. That is great news. Now..go to WDW and enjoy! No worries!

WOW - that's unusual.

i love shutterfly. i get books from them every year from our wedding album, pregnancy, cassie's birth, year books vacation books.

one year i ordered them a little later then usual (usually when they go on sale in OCT for christmas gifts) and when i hadn't received them by early DEC i called and they reprinted and shipped - mid jan I still had not received any of them so i called again. 2 weeks later i received an order. 3 days later another set a week later another set LOL

so here i was with 12 wedding albums, 6 year books and 18 of the same 10x13 wedding photo

we decided to give everyone in the wedding party a book and all the aunts and uncles a year book. Shutterfly's delivery mix up now costs us a fortune every year becuase after we gave the aunts year books it kind of became the thing to do the next year and now 5 years later we're spending tons because we can't stop giving them

Oh my gosh you guys, I must have somehow unsubscribed to this thread! I kept checking my user cp and this one wasn't updating so I thought "huh, must be everybody's too busy to post." Got curious, searched and whammo, things have been hoppin' around here!!!!!

First off, Nikki, congratulations on your rehire - that must be a huge relief!!! We were working on next year's schedule today trying to figure out how to schedule all of the newly .8 middle and high school shared faculty. It's a nightmare!!!!

Here in Vermont we felt the earthquake too - it was FREAKY!!!!

Root canals - so sorry for you guys having to go through that! I'd never had any problems with my teeth - no cavities, nothing for 43 years, and then last year, BANG, had a root canal, post, bridge and filling on the other side. I didn't know what hit me!!!

Anyway, wow, I missed a lot but catching up now! Oh and this was my last day at school!!!!
