2 weeks until we hit the road!!! :dance3:

We're so excited!!! DH finished putting all the music onto the MP3 for the car ride down! We checked the luggage the other night and everything is fine! :thumbsup2

We're going to check in at the desk. We opted not to do online check-in. This is our very first trip "home" as DVC members so I want to go up to the desk and hear my "Welcome Home!" from the CM there!! :goodvibes

To those of you who are doing the single digit dance...:woohoo: YAY!!!

All of our trips are finally almost here (or here already for some!)!!

Hi Everyone I posted awhile ago about the fact that I had to take my CDL (test for liscence to drive a school bus for next year) well they made me take it yesterday which is the day before we leave and I passed :rotfl: now i am all set to enjoy my vacation

we leave today and start driving down to Florida I cant wait I hope everyone who is doing Disney in July and who post on dis boards has a great vacation and I hope to see some of you there!!!!!:banana::banana:

Congratulations! One more thing to celebrate in Disney!! Have a safe trip - see you soon!

I'm so excited for all of you who are leaving really soon!:cool1:

I'm coming up on my 2 week mark, and yes, I need all these days just to finish packing and last minute shopping!:goodvibes

We made our coutdown chain last night so the kids could count down with me.

DH asked me if I felt the Earthquake yesterday and I said no I didnt (then again I went to the store and the library so I was to busy to notice). We live about an hour away from the Canadian Border (Kingston Ontario area) and he felt it at work.

Those of you enjoying your single digit dances :banana::banana::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::yay::yay::woohoo::woohoo: to you!

I'm off now to reclean the mess that my 3 little tornado's created for me. I wish I could send the older 2 outside to play but it's raining today :(

my tornado is in school right now.

she comes home in about an hour then all hell breaks loose LOL

i'm waiting for the day when they name Hurricane Cassandra. it'll be a doozy i'm telling ya.

Congrats to everyone in single digits! Every day when I go to work my co workers ask me 'how many days now?' (I'm known as the Disney freak haha!) It's like my own little countdown!

And we've started to plan ANOTHER trip, although it's far far away, but I just can't get enough Disney!

just ordered the chilly pads. i really hope they work because i have a hard time in the heat.

funny thing - even with the rate exchange and shipping it's costing me $30 less to get 8 of them (2 for dh, dd, myself and my aunt) then to buy them up here. and our country wonders why we go south of the boarder to shop:confused3

single digit dance  We leave the 2nd to go stay at the airport to catch our flight out on the 3rd. The excitement is building especially with DD(5).:cheer2:

It's been so hot here lately, it's got me wondering something.

How do all you July folks eat at Disney in this heat?? All I seem to want is salad and fruit!!!

Any tips on favorite light meals while at the "World"?

the good thing about the restaurants at WDW is they have AC.

a few minutes inside and i'm back to normal :)

Salads with chicken in them (most CS places have something like that). Some places have flatbreads with grilled chicken, veggies, etc. TS places have salads too, sandwiches. A lot of TS allow a different side dish instead of fries too! :thumbsup2 Drink lots of water, eat ice cream, it helps! ;)

Yes--sometimes all you want is a frozen drink and a salad. Works for me!

I'll be in Florida the week of 7/11 and will be taking my DS2 on a "guys only" trip to MK, leaving DW, DD7, DD4 and DD0 at home this time. I can't wait! Dumbo, Pirates, Teacups, Small World, here we come!

Absolutely!! He is the catcher and usually does an entire game and it really helps during the hot games!!

Have you ever brought them to Disney? That was my plan...

I hope they work for you. If they are as good as they sound, this will be an awesome last minute purchase. Did you get them from ebay? We go to Canada almost every summer (going on 35+ years)...my parents have three trailers on Lake Mississagagon (Cloyne, Ontario). My brothers love it, my husband loves it, my son and nephews love it...My mom and me - not so much! :rolleyes1 For me it is too much bugs, dirt, worms, fishing...give me a Hyatt with a spa...but once I get there and start to relax, I remember why we go! :) We are leaving Aug 6th for our trek into Canada. My son loves that he has to have a passport - last year the border guard even stamped it for him!

:scared1::scared1:

What are they?

The way they are described and look - is mini towels that when you wet them turn cold and cool you off. They also make them bandana style, which were really cool but I bought the original. Frogg togg has a website, but I first read about them on a Disney blog yesterday (mom's panel ideas for staying cool) it was in the comment section. Who knows, hope they work. I bought one from DH and I to share and one for DS.

no i went to the frogg togg website to see their price and when i found out they were sold out i clicked on where to get them link and found a sporting place. they were selling them for the same price as on ebay but i could get different colours not just blue. which is good so we'll each have our own colour

i LOVE camping- not the bugs though. we had a motorhome when i was growing up and we travelled across Canada and the US for 8 years :) i miss it.

we still camp but tent camping gets harder as i get older ;) we're looking for a motorhome but they are sooooooooo expensive i don't think we'll be getting one anytime soon :(

BUT when we do look out because we'll take Cassandra all over to show her what I saw growing up.

Hey I went from "Earning my ears" to a "Mouseketeer", Yeahh!!! I always wanted to be a Mouseketeer! :cool1: :cool1:

We are so close to leaving I can taste it. We leave next Wednesday night - but going to Ft. Lauderdale first for Nationals. Then it is on to Disney. We are 10 days away from checking in at Wilderness Lodge. I was going to do online check in but then I read the post about issues with CL, so I am scratching that. I really want to check in upstairs!
Today I got my haircut and highlighted. I also went to Staples - looking for Disney planning stuff - cardstock for invites; index cards for planning/touring ideas; a new folder for all my planning papers, etc... I could never tell anyone this!
DS is making it through training camp. He is experiencing a great feeling of success. Yesterday when I picked him up he told me that he won 1st place in their forms competition and that he felt he was ready for Nationals. He said "I think I can win 2nd or 3rd or maybe 1st in forms!" I told him that just qualifying for Nationals was an accomplishment, and this is his first Nationals experience. I have no idea what to expect and what the level of competition will be.
6 more days until we leave... :woohoo: :yay:
