I see you found the July Board, :welcome:
Make sure you list your ADRs with dates, times and places and Nikki can add them to the list. It is a great way to meet other Dissers!

Room for another? :banana::banana::banana:

We decided it'd be a while before we headed back to Disney and had a lovely all inclusive booked for much nearer to home for this summer but I started getting very itchy about it all and worried that I may get very bored, and how much our son would love disney EVEN more this year (he'll be 2 in April) and somehow I managed to sew the seed in DH brain too and as of yesterday we are coming to Disney AGAIN!!!:thumbsup2 Other holiday is getting binned.

So we're going to be at CSR from 11-25 July!! and we are officially excited!!

Only just realised that we're passed the 180 days for ADRs so I have some food planning to do ASAP.

Welcome!! Good choice with going back to WDW this summer! :thumbsup2

Where do I go to do ADRs online?

mo x

You can make your ADARs using this.

Welcome to the thread!! We'll be there over the 4th too! Good idea to have a late dinner already planned at Crystal Palace. :thumbsup2 We are celebrating our FIRST wedding anniversary! :)

Thanks - I found it. It's not accepting my reservation number :confused3 but I've managed to get a couple of character breakfasts booked for the first few days as they are falling withing the 180. Need to make sure I note them properly this year as last year I totally screwed up our breakfast at Chef Mickey's - we were lying by the pool and missed it as I got the days wrong!! I was very sad but somehow we managed to get a cancellation for the following day - I nearly kissed the cast member that sorted it!! I'd been looking forward to it for months!

Hey Christy! :wave2:

I think I'll try to make ADRs online this year and see how it goes. im glad to see everyone is getting what they want! Another question, can you see your resort reservation online even if you book on the phone? Im not sure how that works.

Hi Christy, so glad to see you back on the July board - sad though that we are going to miss you by just a few days. Our APs expire on July 15 so we have to go early this year.

Yes, if you book online you can see your resort reservation. I did that last year for one of our trips. I really like the online ADR system, it is a lot quicker than calling!

July 21-25 - Fort Wilderness Cabin

It will be me, DH, DD (2) - we are so excited to have a little house in the middle of WDW! Not doing dining plan - doing breakfast in the cabin every day, lunch in the parks somewhere (mostly CS) and dinner by ear - we just aren't sure what princess will be up to. We might end up with take-out chicken every night from Trails End - ha!
I am planning on getting two ADRS -
I want to do a lunch at Crystal Palace and a dinner at Mexico.
I might do a "safety" ADR somewhere DTD - any suggestions?

I can't wait to get there!!! And I'm glad to find this thread - DH is already tired of hearing about the planning :rotfl:

Welcome!!! We NEVER get tired of hearing about the planning!! Keep us informed on your plans! The cabin sounds great. My sister and I have talked about doing that together. I think it will be like a totally different WDW experience.

I think the cabin sounds great - we considered that this year, but DD16 was having a real issue with it ( she is a hotel snob) and not outdoorsy at all! She had a close encounter with a snake at CBR last year and she is certain snakes would be more common at Ft. Wilderness. I think the cabins look awesome.

I booked ADRs for 180 + 10 a few weeks back. All you have to do is put in your resort information & reservation # first. I will post them.

Yea! We will be at BWV July 6-13. We always go in July, every two years. I'm a teacher and just can't take off (be sick) for a week during the year. Our kids are getting older, dd 22, dd19, ds14, so we're thinking the kids might do their own thing sometimes this trip. We'll see. I"m trying to get input from the family for meal suggestions- I need to make ADR's now!!!
We wanted to go later in the month for our 28th anniversary, but couldn't get the ressies we needed. Hoping to still celebrate a little early!

thanks for adding me to the list. I am looking forward to all the inside info that everyone shares about Disney This will be our first time in July.

I have the same summer problem as you (teacher)! I would love to go the end of August but our wedding had our APs start mid-July last year so that is not an option this time. GET ON THOSE ADRs!! And let us know what you get so I can add them to the list!

We went one time in July and I swear we said "never again" but here we are, doing it again...:goodvibes

my best advice is to get to the parks early before it gets too hot...go back to the room/pool and rest during the heat of the day...go back at night.

Also, hydrate, hydrate, hydrate.

We definitely found we were a lot crankier when we were sticky, hot, tired and thirsty. Try to avoid those meltdowns (and I'm not just talking the kids' meltdowns) by pre-empting with air conditioning, rest and water.

So let's start sharing some other good "July" ideas!:goodvibes

My DH gets tired of hearing about it too - which is the reason I love the Disboards, nobody ever gets tired of planning!!!

Good idea on the July suggestions, here is mine.

We like the late lunch/early dinner ADRs for 2 reasons. First, they are usually the same food as dinner, but a lower cost. I try to book them around 2:30pm - 3:00pm. That is also a good time to get out of the heat and take a break. Sometimes we will go back to the room after we eat, and chill out for a few hours.

This works great for those days you want to sleep in a little, and not get to the parks too early. Although, the early park arrival has its advantages too, so we do a couple days each way.
