Oh.. you Hokies!! My son is set on going to Va tech! Its hard to wrap my mind around being a Hokie Family because DH and I are Terps! I even have the U of MD Terps Virginia License plate. I'll always be a Terp, but I can be a Hokie Mom!! :lmao:

My DS17 saw this hidden Mickey outside his bedroom window in the treetops. It too is a sign. Especially when I have my kids finding them unprompted! :rotfl:

1. I do not fear the turtle!:lmao:
2. My daughter has found Hidden Mickeys all week - dog food, chips, cereal, bubbles..... The excitement grows!!!

Check out my PTR linked below, post 5 is my to do list,

According to my itinerary from my DU agent: Spectro @ 9; Wishes @ 10! And there were pics showing Spectro so should be seated prior to 9...or thereabouts.

We are doing the QSDP so it is hard for me to justify more desserts ;)! The dessert spread looks better than what was at Palo on the Magic!!

Thanks for the info. When ADRs are made do you go ahead and pay for the reservation or just have them hold your credit card #??

I need autograph books. In the past we have just bought some cheap notebooks and used them. Give me some ideas on what you recommend for autograph books.

I'm a scrapper, so I have tons of cute, fun papers, alphabet stickers, and ribbons on hand. We made our own autograph books last time and will do it again this trip -- so quick and easy, and since I already have everything on hand, it's cheaper than buying them.

To do something really basic, cut sheets 12x12 cardstock down to four 6x6 pieces and then take them to Staples, Office Depot, or somewhere like than and have them bound together using either wire binding or comb binding. (Or use 8.5x11 and cut it down to two 4.5x5.5 pieces, or whatever size you want the pages to be.) Then decorate the pages however you want...Disney stickers, cute patterned paper, rub-ons...the possibilities are endless. My girls used their autograph books as combined autograph books and trip journals -- so on Day 1, we went to Character Connection and they got autographs. At the end of the day, they journaled on the next blank page. The next set of autographs then started on the next blank page, and then journaling, etc. They turned out really cute and were quick and easy to do.

The only thing I want to do differently is to make sure that this year, the girls get autographs only on one side of the page (if the book is open, only on either the left or the right side of the page), so that way after our trip we can put the corresponding picture on the opposite page (so if Mickey signed on the left page, then the picture of the child with Mickey will get put in on the opposite page, and so on). We'll see how that goes -- it will depend on if the girls remember to flip pages between characters! LOL This also means there will be more pages in the autograph books this time, but bindings come in several different sizes so that shouldn't be a problem.

i believe it has to be paid for in full when you book... which has to be by phoning wdw-dine .. it can't be done via the online ADR system yet.
and can't be used on the DP either.

(i learnt this from disney podcasts this week! :wizard:)

15 DAYS to go!! that means 14 til WDW-Eve :woohoo:

This is kinda what I did last year. Kids will use them again this trip as they have plenty of pages left. I went to Michaels and bought the spiral bound art sketch notebooks. Bought 1 sheet each of scrapbook paper and some stickers. Wala! Here is a pic..

Love the hidden Mickey!

8 more days!!!! I really need to get busy, but life keeps getting in the way! UGh!

I did want to pass this little tid bit on though. I was having a hard time deciding what to do about laundry detergent etc. I always do laundry while we are there but didn't want to carry any liquids that might spill in the van. While at Walmart I found these nifty little sheets. It is called Purex 3 N 1 or something to that affect. They are sheets that have detergent, fabric softner and a dryer sheet all in one. You simply put the sheet in the washer, then into the dryer. It was about $5.64 I believe for the starter set which includes a hard case to keep the sheets airtight and I think it is 20 sheets! Not a bad deal and no liquids!

That is what we plan to use. It is in my disney drawer ready to be packed!!!
Thanks for your help Lois!! Your the best. I tried the website a couple of times and could never find where the Fantasmic times were.

Let me see if I can help. You go to the park for which you want to find the schedule, Then on the left hand side click on the calender link. Once the calender opens up you will click on the day of the month and a new page opens with the show schedule for that day. Once on that page you can go forward or back one day at a time to see what will be offered during your stay. You will need to do this for each park individually.

I hope this helps, Lois

Thanks for the info. When ADRs are made do you go ahead and pay for the reservation or just have them hold your credit card #??

They need a credit card for the ressie but they don't charge it at the time of the ADR. I had to give my cc # for Fantasmic Dining, the KTTK tour, and the Glass Slipper dessert order, but I won't actually pay until the event. This way, you can cancel within the cancelation period without a charge to your card. Disney does this to prevent "no shows."

Thanks! I had no luck though. I just got off the phone and there were no openings for Fantasmic or Wishes Dessert Party for the week I am there. :sad1: I guess I will keep trying. Maybe I will get lucky. I really wanted to try the Wishes Dessert Party. It sure looked nice!

You'll have to call the ADR # because you have to give them a credit card # to make the reservation! 407 939 3463 is what I have in my cellphone...

My DD21 is so bummed that her secret is out. She always liked to snag a seat at Noodle station t watch the fireworks. For Free!! She does not want to pay $17.99 for dessert to do it again. She's so disappointed that she won't be able to snag her regular spot.

The buffet looked good, but seriously.... that is WAY too much dessert. Besides, I have to save room for The Kitchen Sink at Beaches & Cream!

I'm jealous of you single digit families!!!!

I am 2 weeks! 2 WEEKS!! woohoo. The kids are finally out of school here in dreary MA and it's cold and rainy. I am going to have to go to FL just to see the sun.

We have 4 weeks to go till our trip, and I swear if the sun does not come out soon here I am going to lose my mind!

July 23-28 at WL here. We're surprising our kids and not telling them till the night before we leave. Last night I booked the Pirates and Pals fireworks cruise. It sounds so fun! Can't wait.

6 days...I can hardly stand it....:faint:

We have my two sisters and theie families coming with us and my brother just added on his family. We will have 8 adults and 10 kids!!! I am sooooo excited.!

Hey everybody, That's my sister! Where the heck have you been?

Nikki~ can you add NSalz's name to my ADRs for June 30th at Chefs du France, July 1 at Primetime Cafe, July 4th at Cape May Cafe and July 5th at Californis Grill(That one is NSalz's birthday. She always had dinner at California Grill that night). Thanks again! YOu are the best!

Still no Mickey mail... :sad1:

Maybe tomorrow, it was mailed out by the home office on Friday, so hopefully, it will be tomorrow, Friday the latest...

On a good note, I have already received my ME ressies!

Stacy

Wow, that sure booked up quickly and today was the first day the pics were online! Keep trying as I read on another thread that people call the dining # a few minutes before they want to eat and have been able to get in even when the TS places are turning away walk-ins.

I had the same idea; maybe we can just stand somewhere near the Noodle Station. The Kitchen Sink sounds amazing but I think we will be going to Beach Club Marketplace for the gelato. I hope it is good as both DDs are major gelato fans! For me, anything cold and creamy is fine - that's why the Wishes desserts looked fantastic!!

Actually sometimes the credit card # is held, but others are automatically charges, for example Hoop de doo review, CRT and the wishes dessert buffet immediately charge your credit card for the meal. Victoria's and Alberts and California Grill, and some other I'm sure, use the credit card as security in case you don't show up or cancel within whatever their time limit for cancellations is.

Put hold on my mail today
Ordered my groceries to be delivered
And checked on our flights (they did not change much)

Got to start packing and in order to do that must dig out the suit cases. That is a task for this coming week-end

Lois

I finally packed my clothes today! Still have to pack toiletries, medicines and stuff like that! Also have to stop the mail and newspaper. I always forget about those until the last minute!:headache:

I am so not ready for this and work has me very busy so no time to play around. Just wish I did not need to work. However no work no playing at WDW! Lois
