Thanks Lois,:worship:

The DIS cruise list had button hole extender!! LOL I think we'd better add that to the parks list if you're on the Dining Plan!! :rotfl2:

I have a special Disney Wallet (lightweight) that I always keep my DVC membership card and Winn Dixie (we don't have them here) card in. I add my AAA card, Disney VISA, Drivers License etc. before we leave. I laugh as many of those items on the detailed list are always in my train case. Panty hose however, should be banned from Disney World :cool1:

I have a grocery plan too. My grocery plan currently lists all the essentials such as cereal, pop tarts, fresh fruit. I have to create a menu list for the meals we're eating in. Then I can make a grocery list for those meals.

Does anybody have any quick and easy (and healthy) meal plan ideas for making in the DVC kitchens? I don't want to have to bring alot of specialty items although we can request mixers, blenders etc. I must have my iced tea pot.

I'd like to mention that I have one of those clip boards with a snap shut compartment. For car travel, I put my packing list on the clip board, then inside it, I put my maps, directions, trip tiks, travel guides, print-outs with confirmation numbers. I keep that in the front seat of the van.

My "Handy Kit" that is on my list that includes the safety pins, rubber bands, sharpie etc. I keep that in a plastic snap-shut school box. I originally came up with that for Thanksgiving because I was bringing holiday decorations to put up in the room. Its come in handy for all kinds of uses.

Another thing I'm going to do (but haven't yet). Since DVC Villas don't have daily towel service like hotel rooms, when we dry out towels in the dryer, we don't want to get them mixed up, but they're all the same. What I'm planning to do, it take some small pieces of plain white fabric about 1 inch x 3 inches and iron/stitch on the summer camp name labels that we all have (even for the adults left over from years ago). Then I will safety pin the name label tags to each family members towel. :laundy:

I'm finding that I"m worrying a lot about going over the 50lb luggage limit. I just can't bring a lot of extra stuff.....I'm trying not to stress..but I am.! lol

We bought an inexpensive Luggage Scale at Wal-mart (I think). You hook it to the bag and the pick up the bag to get it's current weight. It is small enough to take with so you can check before you come home too. It takes two people, one to hold the scale and the bag and one to read the scale. But it has worked well for us. Lois

Wow, I just realized that we are under the 60-day mark for our trip! :yay: It is sneaking up on me! We've been so busy with soccer, track, and the end of the school year that I hadn't realized the trip was coming up so soon.

So much left to do! I need to start picking up the little things we'll need to have with us -- especially ponchos and moleskin -- need to find a new bag for the parks (the backpack we used last time is too worn out and my DH insists that he will ONLY carry a backpack, and since it will be heavy he will be carrying it most of the time so it needs to be something he can live with, LOL). I need to put together my planner that I will take into the parks with us, help my DDs make their autograph books (I'm a scrapper so we make these all ourselves and they turn out SO cute), and start thinking about all of those other things that need to be done to make this a wonderful trip. Need to do up mousekeeping envelopes...

I still need to get my parents to tell me what they want to do on our first day in the parks (their only day in the parks) so I can make sure they have a great time. I'm thinking about booking a Behind the Seeds (?) for them -- they would really like that but they won't commit to anything at this point in time. Ugh! So much to think about and get done!

I've finalized the plans with Betsy (memoriesbybetsy.com) for the welcome gifts for my DDs, and now need to contact the Disney Florist about something for my parents -- they have a cute welcome gift that has a soft-sided cooler (like an insulated lunch box?) and some candy bars and sodas and I want to do that for them but need to see if they can swap some of the items for diet sodas and sugar-free items since my Mom is diabetic. Has anyone ever done that before?

Oh my...so much to do!

hi everyone!

my countdown is 48 days now!!

tomorrow my vacation party (me, DBF, his parents, little sis, older sis, her DBF & his DD) are all going to Legoland in Windsor for a day trip.. or, as I like to think of it, theme-park training day!!

Wow! School is almost over and I can start thinking about Disney. As if I haven't been driving my family crazy enough as it is talking about it.

I did change our plans from Deluxe dining to regular dining - too much food for us since we are already staying club level.

Good for you!! I have to pay in 20 days and I'm not sure where I'm getting the money.:scared1:

If the economy picks up and our sales increase......

Thanks so much!

In the past two weeks, our car broke down ($1600), washer/dryer broke ($2300 new pair), and our dishwasher broke ($1500 new one). New washer was installed Saturday, got one load of laundry done, and it broke!!!

To top things off - someone stole our garbage can:confused3

Now I have to come up with Disney money - $7700.
