I can't believe we're only 18 days away! I got the paperwork from Disney in the mail along with the tags for the Magical Express. I had fun making my adr's on Easter Sunday!!! Got everything except the Fantasmic dinner package and then a few days into the week, I finally got one! We're going on the 14th (I think, I have to double check) and it's at Hollywood and Vine. After reading some reviews, I'm starting to have second thoughts. But we really want to see this show.

We're eating at the Crystal Palace our first night, and then during the week - lunch at LeCellier, early dinner at Teppan Edo, another dinner at Crystal Palace, Breakfast at Crystal Palace, and our final night will be at Liberty Tree Tavern (another one I read about and wonder if I made the right decision).

Then two days after we get back - off the see the Jonas Brothers with my 14yo daughter.

I hope the weather cooperates, last July, it was warm, not hot and overcast, which made walking around bearable. It was hotter when we got back to NY!

We can't wait!!!!!
I like hollywood and Vine, Really enjoy the characters at Crystal Palace and love the feel of the Liberty tree Tavern. We eat at each of these almost every trip.

Hi! I had posted earlier about our trip from the 10th departing on the 19th and did not tell you guys that we would be at the Dolphin! :rolleyes1 You can tell I'm getting older, lol.

I saw the best days posted earlier and now I can't find it. Can anyone point it out for me??

I'm thinking on reserving for:
Princess Storybook Dining at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall
We are in a budget so i am not sure if it will be worth the $
I have 3 daughters a 1 year old, 4 year old, and 7 year old any opinions on if i should reseve or not?

We have reserved dinner there our last night at WDW. So, we are hoping it will be great. I have read that the food is not the best, but I wanted to end our vacation with the princesses. My DD will love it. I can't tell you if it is worth $$ or not as this will be our first time dining there. ;)

I have been trying to find out the days Fantasmic will be showing when we got to WDW (July 20-27). Can anyone tell me the days/times when the shows are held? I tried to get a Fantasmic dinner package but was unable to... Thanks for your help.
:goodvibes

We have an ADR for Princess Storybook for our upcoming trip. We went the for the first time last summer (June) for lunch. DH and I all thought it was really good. :thumbsup2 They have a cold appetizer bar which includes cold fish (a few varieties), cold shrimp, cold salads, fruit, etc.. which was included with our meals. That was alright, but the entrees were the best. I had chicken in a bean & tomato sauce and it was very good! DH had a pulled pork sandwhich and he really liked (and he's quite picky). Our three kiddos really seemed to enjoy themselves a lot, especially the girls.

When we entered into the restaurant, the kids had their pictures taken with Belle. Last year, the ADR came with a princess photo package. It was taken pretty quickly and she signed their autograph books and chated a little and then it was off to our table. The kids were able to talk to, have an autograph from, and take pictures with: Alice (in Wonderland), Ariel, Aurora (Sleeping Beauty), and Cinderella. They really took their time with each child. Alice was the best - she was really in character!:thumbsup2

I remember there being bread or rolls on the table but the kids ate them quickly and I never got one, even after the second helping came! The dessert was wonderful! I can't say enough about the mousse! :lovestruc I wasn't a big fan of the rice pudding, but then I don't normally care for rice pudding.

All in all, our experience was very good. The service was excellent and the food was very good. Most importantly, my pick DH and DD's and DS had a great time and never once complained about anything!:cloud9:

Oh flipflop mom! You too are VA!! Nice. where? Are you making the drive or are you flying? We're driving the 889 miles! :car: I know flipflop will be there at the same time as the other two of us Virginians! We're at Saratoga.

We're driving. Leaving at midnight, so the kiddos will sleep! We'll break it up coming back, b/c I want to stay as long as possible.:lmao: We're in Patrick County - NC/VA line, about hour south of Roanoke, or as we say - 1 hr south from Lane Standium, Blacksburg VA, home of the Hokies!

Single digit dance! :dance3::cheer2::dance3::cheer2::dance3:
Who's with me??

Not me, and almost thank goodness, too much to do! Congrats to you!!!

Quick Daddy update, for those following, had two appts yesterday, has to have a minor procedure Thurs. to prepare his arm for dialysis, he has to see cardiologist on July 23rd, so kidney removal will be after that. That means we have a few days after our trip at least to be with him before, too!!!!! Best news is that they don't see that the cancer has spread outside of the kidney anywhere, so once it's removed he should be cancer free, but it will still be a scary and bumpy time!

:hug:WOw, you do have a lot on your plate, but so glad that there is no evidence of any spread of the cancer!:thumbsup2 GOod luck for you and your Dad going through all of this!

flipflopmom,
Just wanted to say that I wish I was only an hour away from the Hokies! We have only been to two games since the kids came along. We took our boys to see the campus last year, they loved it!

Good news about the cancer, I hope all goes well.

I should post a picture of our den, bathroom, all Hokiefied! We took Sophie to spring game this year, she LOVED it, Anna Kathryn did a cheer camp and got to perform on the field with the cheerleaders. Brad was SOOOOOOOO jealous that she got to come out of the tunnel! We are season ticket holders, and try to hit at least one or two away games, usually Duke since we like that stadium! Let's Go Hokies!

Guess you can use this for our who's going, since I doubt I'll get a picture with me in it in the next few weeks! DH and the kids stand out more than I do, anyway!

Here's a close up of my girls, so you can see they actually smile!

Sorry July friends for adding putting my other obsession in the way. Now, back to the mouse!

Happy Anniversary!! :cake:::MickeyMo

My wife and I are celebrating our 14th anniversary while we are there too..We renewed our vows two years ago on our Cruise and i asked her if she wanted to do it again at Disney and she said two times is enough:rotfl:

It is almost time to get out the suitcases! We are now planning on leaving one day earlier so we can stop in Tampa before Disney to visit DHs aunt. I am not changing my countdown ticker, just in case though.......

Okay, so I walked into my daughter's room this morning, which is always a huge issue. (She won't keep it clean for anything). Her nintendo ds charger cord was shaped into a perfect Mickey head. I woke her up early and made her look at it. It's a sign! We are suppose to be at Disney! If I knew where the camera was I would take a picture. I better find that before we leave, huh?

One week from today we will be heading to disney!! Actually we will be on the plane waiting to take off at 8:50!!!

Woo Hoo!

I feel like the past 6 months have flown by but these last few days are slooowwww.

I still have 18 days until we pull out of the driveway. I feel like the last 3 weeks have jsut flown by - so I hope I manage to get everything done before we go. And naturally I decided i need to catch a cold right now:sick:. What's with that?:confused3 Cold and flu season should be over, as well as my normal allergy season but here I am with an inhaler. :headache:

MUST GET WELL FOR MICKEY

My DH and DS17 always wear Keens at Disney World. In fact, they also wore them all over Alaska, even in the snow. They're the perfect shoe for Disney and manly enough for my scouts. The only problem is they run on the wide side, so I can't wear the women's model. But if your men don't have narrow feet, it is perfect. They sell them at LLBean and at Eastern Mountain Sport and I think at REI also. There may be other stores near you, I think Dick's Sporting Goods also has them.

Bass Pro Shops also carry Keens and Merrell's. This is one of the few sandals my husband will wear. I don't know for sure but I bet Cabella's also carry them.

Thanks so much -- we have Bass Pro Shops here, too, so we'll check there as well as at Dick's Sporting Goods.

I'm glad you'll have a few days after the trip to be with him before...and it is great news that they don't think the cancer has spread outside the kidney. That's wonderful. He will continue to be in my prayers.
