Thanks so much -- we have a Dick's Sporting Goods near us so we'll check there. I can order them online if I have to, but would rather have DH try them on and tell me he likes them! LOL

When were you in Alaska, and where? We lived there from 1990-2000 (that's where DH and I met and where our kids were born).

We were in Alaska last August for a cruise-tour. We were there for 11 days. We did Talkeetna, Alyeska, Anchorage, Icey Straight Point, Seward, Juneau, Ketchikan, Denali... probably some more. It was an awesome trip of a life time with my husband's parents, his sister and her 3 kids, his brother and wife. I loved it, but the whole time I was dreaming of being warm!! see... wishes do come true!

Hi everyone!

Another day closer for us all!!

Just wanted to say a huge thank you for all the responses to my current family-wdw-dilemma! it's good to be able to tell people about it.. problem shared is a problem halved, right?

nothing yet has been decided.. fingers crossed for now!

i've thought it all over 100 times & have to rememeber that I am still going to Disney World! with 6 other wonderful people.... the 7 of us have been to the Caribbean on vacation the last two summers, so I know it'll be a fabulous trip together... I just hope no one is too down if DN isn't with us

As i'm an OCD planner i have made a list of things that would need to be done if she's unable to come with us.. which has somehow made it easier to deal with??... (obviously i won't do anything until it's 100% confirmed she can't come!) like, cancel BBB & her Disney florist gift, remove the 'First Visit' Celebration from our ADRs - however I won't be reducing the ADRs from 8 people to 7.. as I think wdw-dine have to cancel the table for 8, and completely rebook a table for 7 which is unlikely to be possible this close to going!!
The only ADR i might consider changing would be dinner at Akershus.. as it could make us all feel bad that we're dining with Princesses, without our little princess!


Something else that cheered me up... this morning at the gym, there was a huge bag of wdw Goofy's Taffy on the reception desk... how random. guess someone who works there must have just come back!! but it totally cheered me up and made me remember that I'm Going to Disney World.... in 16 DAYS!!

It is a pretty NICE place to live. I am not sure how the city got the name. But, we enjoy living here.

Has anyone booked the new Wishes Dessert Buffet at MK. I was able to look up my adr's online but I was wanting to add this. Is it not available online? If not I guess I'll have to call.

What is the Wishes Dessert Buffet? Where can I find info. on this?

I can't believe we're only 18 days away! I got the paperwork from Disney in the mail along with the tags for the Magical Express. I had fun making my adr's on Easter Sunday!!! Got everything except the Fantasmic dinner package and then a few days into the week, I finally got one! We're going on the 14th (I think, I have to double check) and it's at Hollywood and Vine. After reading some reviews, I'm starting to have second thoughts. But we really want to see this show.

We're eating at the Crystal Palace our first night, and then during the week - lunch at LeCellier, early dinner at Teppan Edo, another dinner at Crystal Palace, Breakfast at Crystal Palace, and our final night will be at Liberty Tree Tavern (another one I read about and wonder if I made the right decision).

Then two days after we get back - off the see the Jonas Brothers with my 14yo daughter.

I hope the weather cooperates, last July, it was warm, not hot and overcast, which made walking around bearable. It was hotter when we got back to NY!

We can't wait!!!!!

Let's all pray the weather returns to normal. I hope its not record breaking heat!! Don't worry.. I think you'll love Hollywood & Vine. We did. The food was very good, the service was excellent and attentive. The only downside is that being buffet, you pay per person not per food item. DD5 barely ate anything... as usual. But it was worth it for the rest of us for sure.

Hey.. wait a minute? Tomorrowland Noodle Station? Dessert Buffet? Its an ADR?? Wha??? I thought this was a QS ressie? It always had been? And since when did they have a reservations only dessert buffet? Odd!!! Not that I object!

Since when...? Well since today. Today is the first day of this Wishes dessert buffet. It is running through the summer. They say that if it is not full they will take walk-ins, but if you want to do this I suggest an ADR. Payment in full at the time of ADR! They started taking ADRs yesterday.
