waiting for my TA to get back from WDW (!!) but then hoping to get the Grand Floridian booked for our honeymoon - planning to be there June 26th to July 3rd

How exciting for both of you!! IF we go to WDW next summer, I am hoping to go around the same time. We really liked vacationing early in the summer and still having several weeks after we got back before band camp started. Next summer, both kids will have band camp - so the summer will end early for both of them. We are consider doing a different vacation next summer though , so we will see.

The dates I have booked right now are June 26 thru July 2 at AKL! Emma that puts us there at the same time! And Taryn our departure and arrival dates are the same day! Looking like a dismeet in our future!! I miss chatting on this thread with you guys so much. Lois, maybe something will work out for you and Janet and you will get a trip. Nikki and Wendy....come on guys you know you wanna go back next summer!!

I have no room to complain because I did 1 week at WDW in July and 1 week at WDW in December and then 3 days at DL in May and I am not done yet we are doing 14 days on the Magic this October. I think it is time to work on the house and wait till at least 2012 maybe 2013. If it is 2013 I want it to be 3 full weeks with time at WDW and a Back to Back on one of the new ships!!!!

Jeana - we can totally get together before you leave. This year, we were there at 6am, and couldn't check in until much later. Plenty of time for us to get together before you leave, we like to drive through the night!

Did you read my TR? I felt like I was in the twilight zone (not the TOT kind!) on the 4th! It was so eerily empty in Epcot that day...soooo not what I prepared for! So I don't think I can help you in that department!! We had some freak rain that must've scared the crowds away!

As far as patriotism.....decorate your window, wear red, white and blue, bring flags and wave them around like crazy!!

I also highly recommend doing the fireworks cruise for the MK on the 3rd (maybe share with Emma?) so you can see their special show and do the Epcot fireworks on the 4th. Get a spot early!! Read my TR to see where we ended up.

Nikki I sooo get the wanting but not able to part...that's what happened to us this year.

Lois I think I understand why Janet thinks you two need some stay at home time.

I'm gonna miss those of you who can't go next summer, but hey at least we all still keep in touch. I wonder how many others on this board can say the same.

Taryn, we will so work out all the details when we get closer to our trips. If a discount comes out and its a good one I may get to add a day. Stephanie is going next summer too and she's trying to work around my dates. It would be great if me, you, Emma, and Stephanie could all meet!

Ooh! I got all excited to see this thread again!!!

It's so exciting that you all have scheduled trips around the same time! I don't know what we're doing next year yet.

We switched our trip this year from August to November. So I have just under 90 days for our next trip!

Just yesterday my DH asked me when we should go and where we should stay next year! haha Usually it's ME who starts with the planning. We were throwing around "Jersey week" for next year which is usually the first week in Nov. Our schools usually have off for President's Day and teacher's convention. But who knows...maybe we'll do another summer trip!

Hey everyone!!!!! Anyone planning Disney trips for 2011?? My DBIL and DSIL were just over today to book our trip! Going end of Sept for just a long weekend. Food and wine and MNSSHP! They booked free dining, we only booked our flights...waiting for other deals to come out.

Thank you Lois for starting us up again - I too get excited when I see the July 09 Board come up!

I believe we will be in Disney this summer, not sure when we are going - either the end of June or July. I am waiting on some of the schedules from the activities my kids do in the summer. It is scary not having a trip planned yet. I am definitely in withdrawal as this is the longest I have gone without being in the World in several years.

He is howevewr the neatest 17 year old I have evewr known. He will graduate in May of 2012. Then to decide what college he will attend. Very Smart kid.

I love this thread too! This was the best Dis group ever. Even though I keep up with some of the people on Facebook - I really love it when this board gets going. That is so nice that you have your grandson with you! My DD is 17 and a junior also - it is an exciting time for them.

We got back on Thursday from a couple days at WDW and the DIS Unplugged Podcast Cruise! It was awesome!

I think I might take a solo trip out to WDW in May for D23's Destination D event. I upgraged my DL AP to the Premier AP and it's burning a hole in my pocket.

I miss this group so much even though I talk to most everyone on facebook...except those who still refuse to join, Nikki. Our next trip is booked for June 25 thru July 2. I know Taryn will be arriving the day we leave and we've planned to meet. Stephanie is still working on her dates. Emma, I think our dates may cross again while you're on your Disneymoon!

Lois, like I told you the other day...that grandson of yours is sooo lucky to have you and Janet! You're doing a great thing!

Jeana - we are still working on our plans too - and the end of July/early June is a possibility. We are juggling with Ashley's senior pictures, band camp and some of the volunteer activities that the kids do in the summer with church and girl scouts. I think we are going to do a few days at Universal/Sea World and the rest of the time at Disney. Is anyone on a June or July 11 Board yet? Nothing will ever be the same as this group though!
