It matches the dates for my 40% off PIN code-- but you need to have the PIN and they're not transferable.

They skipped over July because they don't have to offer discounts to fill the parks and resorts during July; school is out all over the country and there are lots of families going to Disney.

Lots of schools go back in mid August, hence the August 10th start date. Lucky for us, our schools all start after Labor Day

Dh and I are teachers. Due to some other things we can only go in July....darn there are never any codes. Oh well, we can either take advantage of the Teacher rate at Swan/Dolphin or just smile and pay and GO!!! I am hoping for an AP rate. We used this in the past, bought one AP and used the room rate. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

I think we are going to rent DVC points if we don't hear something soon about July AP codes or some type of July discount.

Well to tell you the truth after reading this, I've stopped trying to call for codes. Whats the point!!

It kind of makes sense to me about July!! I am not happy, but it makes sense!!

I'm getting nervous. the current discount goes until may 21st. free dining is suppose to be announced tomorrow starting for august. does this mean there will be no discount for the months in between?

Well -- my wishful thinking is about all used up. With the announcement of Free Dining starting on August 24th I'm thinking that clinches it that we won't see any public codes for the summer . Can still hope for an Annual Passholder rate -- then would need to run the math to see if that works out since we will only be there 5 nights. At least we were able to get the AAA rate when we booked our 2 rooms at POR.

I'm with you. The fall dining plan announcement is likely the nail in the coffin, although it never hurts to wish. Maybe we'll get a bone from Disney Visa or somewhere. If not, we'll have a blast on our trip nonetheless!

Last year the AP rates for the summer months were not released until Mid May.

Released 5/16/07 for 6/3/07-8/4/07 for Deluxe/DVC resorts room only rates!
Released 5/16/07 for 7/1/07-8/4/07 room-only rates for Moderate resorts

So we have some time still!

I just got off the phone with a CM asking about codes or discounts for July. She informed me that none were available as of yet but, to keep my eyes open that the marketing department has been working overtime. So maybe their is hope for us yet.

Although I am a AP holder what are the chances of Disney coming out with a Disney Visa discount? I have to try and figure out what is going to be better for us or does anyone think or know that if they come out they will be the same. I do notice a pattern that it looks like the discounts are usually about 40%. Boy wouldn't that be nice! Always hope

Wouldn't that be awesome, I have the GF booked for 7/24-7/27 before our cruise. I would love to save more than just the AAA discount. I'd switch resorts to save money, since GF discounts seem to be few and far between anyways.

Each ad every time I've asked about July codes, I have been told to wait until May. My bday is May 15th --- a nice AP rate would be an awesome present. I realized the other day I'll never get a code since they have me in their system having been there over and over and over...... since I am a newbie

I believe the July AP discounts came out in May last year.

We have YC booked July 22-July 30 and Poly July 30-August 5.

We also have three additional rooms (Grand Gathering) at YC July 22-July29. If AP rates are good I would buy an AP for one person in each of the rooms.

We always have APs for ourselves.

We just got back last week and I want to go back again!
Looking at mid July while DH and DS are camping for a week, DD and I may go back to WDW for a girl's week.

I checked Mousesavers and it looks like historically AP and other discounts for July are released in early to mid May.

I'm out of DVC points so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a good discount!

My TA says there is a really good chance they will offer something for AP and/or Visa Card Holders. She said that Disney is having some problems booking rooms, the economy I quess. Better for all of us hoping for a discount!
