Official July 08 Code Watch Thread...FINALLY!!

I just upgraded to a PAP last week and we are heading down in July. So if an AP code comes out, I would love to see how it goes!

Was the code AP or a public discount? We will be at the WL from 7/2-7/6 then off to DCL. Sure would be nice to get some extra spending money!

It was all AP and Florida resident discounts.

I now remember we looked at booking my SIL in at the Boardwalk for $199/standard as she is a FL resident but she decided not to come.

Oh wait, I lie, is it okay to link to mousesavers? Well here's know you:

We are staying for a week at Pop in July. Made the ressie last week, but would LOVE a discount. Even if it's room only. Keep me posted DISer's!:thumbsup2

Anyone out there know what the % of discount they have given in the last few years during July. I can find the dates but it doesn't tell you the discount amount. I know that it will not always be the same but any ideas?::confused:

I am at work now...but if memory serves me correct....
In July 06 I got the POP AAA rate for 72 @ night
In Aug 07 I got POP AP for 69 @ night

I do remember the when it comes to AP vs AAA rates during the summer months at the values, there isnt much of a difference.

I am up to 5 adults 3 kids going in July...waiting for a 'NICE" AP rate since we will need at least 2 rooms, but if cheap enough 3 rooms!!!!!!!:thumbsup2

Last August my AP rate for the Yacht Club was around $240 for a standard room. I would love to see anything close for this year at the BWI!

Do you know what the percentage was? I am really trying to figure out if it is worth doing the AP or not. What do you think? Do you use the DDE? Any information would be helpful!

My family and i are planning to go in July. If anyone can get me some sort of a code that would be great.

Thanks

No I havn't. i am not a member of CAA How much is the discount?? Would the discount be greater then the cost to sign up for CAA??

I'm not sure of the CAA prices, since I'm from NY. But it cost me something like $60 for a year of AAA, and the discount was well worth it. I took this from www.mousesavers.com:

"American Automobile Association (AAA) and Canadian Automobile Association (CAA) members qualify for "room only" discounts almost year-round, though there are a limited number of rooms available for each date. You can generally save about 10-20% at the Disney resort hotels, depending on the season.

In general, the discounts run as follows:

During Value Season you can get up to 15% off at the Disney Deluxe and Disney Vacation Club resorts, or 20% off at the Value and Moderate resorts and the Ft. Wilderness campsites.

During Regular Season you can usually get up to 10% off at the Disney Deluxe and Disney Vacation Club resorts, or 15% off at the Value and Moderate resorts and the Ft. Wilderness campsites.

During Peak Season and Summer Season you can usually get up to 10% off at the Disney Deluxe and Disney Vacation Club resorts, or 15% off at the Value and Moderate resorts.

The only time AAA/CAA discounts don't usually apply is Holiday Season (around Christmas) at the Value and Moderate resorts.

You don't have to book AAA/CAA rates through the Auto Club. Room-only reservations with an AAA discount can be booked directly through the Disney Reservation Center at (407) W-DISNEY or a travel agent who specializes in Disney travel. Just ask if there is an AAA or CAA discount for your dates and resort. "

Look into it; it's a great deal!!! So, for example, a $300 room at the Contemporary would save $243 over the cost of 6 nights. Deduct that $60 cost, and you're still saving close to $200-- and getting all the additional benefits whenever you drive!!!

How do you book? Can you do it online?

How do you book? Can you do it online?

If you want to book room only, you can do it yourself, as long as you have your AAA or CAA number handy. I'm not sure whether you can do it online, but you can definitely do it by phone.

If you want a package (and we did, since we wanted dining) we contacted the local AAA office and had them book the trip for us.

So is that 15 % off the whole pkg price?

No such luck!

It's off the price of the resort.... still, better than rack rate (especially with the mods and deluxes!)
