I have our suitcases out in our room and randomly throw things in, like sunscreen, shorts, etc. i am starting to feel overwhelmed thinking about packing everything from Christmas away AND trying to pack for our trip. That is why we got an artificial tree this year! I can leave it up untilJan 14 or later and not worry about it! I am terrible for overpacking so it should be interesting to see how this will work, lol

We are 18 days out from leaving!!!! I am such an over packer so this should be interesting. I am really wanting to fit everything for all 3 of us in 1 large suitcase and have 1 for snacks/food. Hoping that will work out for us. Has anyone used garden grocer before? We are planning on eating breakfast in the room each morning. I may need to get a few food items when we arrive, but will not have a vehicle.

22 days for us, and I'm questioning my sanity, since I have to sing on Christmas Eve, host family of 13 for sit down dinner Christmas Day, host 50 or so for my dad's 75th birthday on New Year's Day. Not sure when I am going to pack!!!! Or, WHAT to bring!!!

I'm surprising my wife for her 40th birthday by driving down on New Year's Day to Hilton Head, then on January 2 staying at Caribbean Beach until the 6th when we go over to OKW. All that is before we do the DVC member cruise from the 10th through the 13th!

Traveling to WDW in January 2013? Then come join us! So far there are 129 families (a/o 10-31)

Been MIA for a while. Our trip has changed quite a bit! Originally we were staying at POP, however due to some financial stuff with my college aged son, we have changed up everything. We are now staying offsite from January 12 - 19th. I am just thrilled that we are still going!

We are going to Disney World for our first time and are very excited! A family of five (me & hubby with 2 teenage boys and 1 preteen girl).

We are driving in from Louisiana and will be there 12/30/12 through 1/5/13. We are sooo excited to be ringing in the New Year with Mickey and the gang!

where are you staying? My DH grew up in LA (Shreveport).

New to the thread here. I'm booked for a solo trip from Dec31 - Jan 8th at OKW/AKV and offsite near Universal. I'm still trying to figure out my plans. I'm not booking any TS while at WDW but I have booked lunch at Emerils in Universal. Comparing last years hours to this years at WDW the hours seems shorter for this week. I wonder if there will be one more extention of hour before the trip?

Right now, I'm trying to decide on adding QSDP or not to the OKW portion of the trip Dec31-Jan4th. I'm arriving in the evening on Dec 31 and Jan 4th is my first day at universal. So that's 3 1/2 day of dining and 8 CS meals. I wasn't going to do the QSDP but I'm already planning on going to SS in the land at EPCOT, BOG in MK, and WPE in DD, that will be expensive meals. I'm also planning on going to Blizzard Beach that will probably include a cheaper meal. My goal for vacation eating almost entirely CS is to have no more than 1 hamburger, 1 "Disney Pizza" (Specialty pizza and flatbread doesn't count), and 1 chicken tenders. So, I'm probably going to be eating more expensive entree's most of the trip. On my last trip, the parks closed early so I traveled back to Disney after my first day at Universal to use my last CS credit.

Love that you are doing a solo trip! I used to add on days whenever I had a business trip in Tampa!!

Heading back down with my sister for a Girls Only weekend! We'll be at POR Royal Guest Room - River View!! YAY! Arriving Jan 18th-21st. Can't WAIT!!

My DD7 and I just stayed in POR - Royal Guest room in July and LOVED it!!

We are doing Lion King section a few weeks before you, then going to DCL, then two nights at BLT!! Can't wait!!

Ok a month away from our trip - staying at POP 12th - 19th. I am just realizing how the marathons might affect our trip. We are arriving the 12th in the afternoon (I hear this is the 1/2 marathon day and this won't be too bad). The 13th is the full marathon - I was planning Epcot that day but now wondering what we should do. I have to attend a conference 15-18th so need to make best use of my free days. Any suggestions?

I'm not worried about the marathons...January is nothing like when we just went in July!!

Can you add me please? We are going Jan 2-7th and staying at All-Star Sports. It will be me, DH, and DS (2 1/2 and his first trip ever)! I am so excited and can't wait!!!!

Wow! That is a lot of fun! If you give me your dates for OKW and cruise, I can add them if you wish. FYI, we are doing the Jan 17 Dream cruise, so keep everything in 'tip top shape' for us!!

Joining the group! I got invited to a work training in Jan on the 8th and 9th and decided to turn my trip into a vacation since the airfare is on them! I will be there Saturday the 5th through Monday the 7th staying at Pop Century.
