My mom, aunt, brother, and I have decided that we're going in January! Going to be cooler and we're also going to celebrate my 21st birthday.

Welcome! If you tell me your dates, I'll add you to the first post.

Planning on reading all the posts later tonight, but I wanted to go ahead and add myself the group. We are booked right now for 12/30/12-01/06/13, but I am thinking of changing our dates to 01/02/13-01/08/13, hoping to get FD then. This is my families 2nd trip to Disney and this one is a suprise trip that we are going to tell our kids about on Christmas morning. My husband doesn't want to tell them until the morning we leave, but I think the countdown is half the fun.
I already have most of my kids shirts made, their bags made, water bottles made, and snack containers made. I still need to get some pj's, autograph books made, and dresses for the BBB. We are staying at the AOA in the little mermaid room and I'm going to have them welcome bags from Ariel when we get there, with all sorts of Little Mermaid treats and goodies.
I am so glad I found this board! Our Disney trip is about all I can think of.

I think surprising your kids but still letting them in on the planning is a great idea!!

We did a surprise trip last year and it was so fun when we told the kids. We also told them on Christmas morning, but didn't leave for another three weeks. They got the best of both worlds, a surprise and a countdown!

I think we may change our room. (again, I know ) We have the LK suite at AoA but its actually a bit cheaper to do 2 joining Little Mermaid rooms instead!

We are also going to tell our eight year old daughter christmas morning that she is going in january. We have decided a cool way to tell her would be have a friend of mine that lives in orlando write a letter from ariel and mail it up here. ( i happen to luck out that she writes beautifully) I figured that would be a cool way christmas morning open a letter from disneys and read it stating how excited ariel is to be seeing her soon=) I of course would love to hear any ideas that would make it even better

I think either option will work out great! I'll need to consider that for our trip, too. My only worry is that we wouldn't get two rooms connecting and with a 3yo and 7yo, we would need their rooms together with ours.

Well, I changed our room. Originally had the Lion King suite but switched and got 2 joining Little Mermaid rooms instead. Save a few hundred too. I was guaranteed to have joining rooms because we have 4 children and 2 adults. That was a huge deal breaker if not. Oh January, please hurry!!

Anybody know if there is board for the January 2013 pin code? I called Disney a few weeks ago and the lady said I had several under my name (not real sure how I got them), but to call back about once a month to see if I have one for our travel dates. The anticipation is killing me!!

Also word of warning, turn down your volume at around 1 min 30 sec when my niece screams the preteen blood curdling scream.
It went over pretty well, they took a few minutes to catch on that we weren't talking about a trip next year, but then they got pretty excited. But even when they seemed to get it the ability to do math seemed to escape them when trying to figure out how many days we were going for.

Please excuse my shirtless LO running around, for some reason he refused to wear his shirt yesterday.

Woo hoo!!Our 7 month window rolled around so we could switch from our home resort to where we really wanted to stay. Now we're booked for a grandvilla at BLT for the 18-22. I have to call back on the 22nd for the second part of our stay, hoping for BWV for those dates.

Crossing my fingers that January park hours are released today too.

Been waiting and waiting on the hours then that gets released - what a buzzkill!?!?

I wish the pdf was just a picture of someone sticking out there tongue at me, , those hours are all but useless.

Why are they useless...either way they shouldnt be too much of a surprise...they seem to be very similar in some cases the same as january 2012
